Consumer Complaint: XXXX is an app embedded within PNC bank which allows you to receive or send money. I used this option thinking that it was protected from fraud since it's embedded within my bank. I was a victim of fraud on XX/XX/21 for the amount of {$1000.00} that I sent to XXXX XXXX using the email XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX for the security deposit for the home I " rented ''. Then again on XX/XX/21 for two separate amounts, in the amount of {$1000.00}, and {$160.00} for the first month 's rent, pet fee, and electric bill. These transactions were part of a fraud scheme I encountered when trying to rent this home. I contacted both PNC and XXXX and was told that there is no fraud protection for this, and that that I could not file a complaint. I was then told to file a complaint online to try and recover my funds, and prevent my identity from being stolen.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2021 PNC Bank I received three preprinted checks from PNC bank to be used to transfer balances. I called PNC and spoke to XXXX who explained that if someone fraudulently cashed one of these checks, that PNC would cover it. I spoke to her supervisor, XXXX who confirmed what XXXX said but indicated that I had to report the fraud. XXXX indicated that a {$2000.00} check would probably get PNC 's attention but smaller amounts might not and would need me to identify the possible fraud. I use my credit card for everything and place thousands of charges monthly. I do review my statement but I assure you I do not pay much attention to smaller charges so I might not even notice the fraudulent charge if it was not in the noise level. I'd not question a {$60.00} charge. If I do not question it, PNC would not address it and I would be out that {$60.00}. PNC or any bank should not be allowed to send out these checks and put their account holders at risk.. It should be illegal and I intend to contact my representative and senator.

Consumer Complaint: Please see the attached letter with a detail of the chronology events in this matter. I have removed all of my personal information, but left the details of this matter. This is against PNC Bank National Association. They have not applied the payments received on my auto loan as instructed, nor do they try to resolve the issue. I became aware of this issue on Wednesday, XX/XX/2021 and it remains an issue. Furthermore, I have spoke to several individuals with PNC and they all have a different excuse as to why this was not handled properly. I can send you the exhibits which are proof of how this loan has been handled. These will need to be confidential since they have names and account numbers on them.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from PNC Bank stating my account would be closed on XX/XX/2021 but no reason was listed, just instructions on the closure of the account and debit card associated with it. Called the XXXX number and spoke to a representative that informed me my account is being closed due to the branch filing a complaint referencing rude/sexual comments. Shocked at the news, I wanted to discuss with the branch manager to find out why this is happening, and to also bring up to attention that this is untrue and maybe a mistake. Branch manager XXXX XXXX was not willing to discuss any details, and just kept referencing me back to the XXXX number ( whom referred me to the branch manager initially ). Needless to say nothing has been accomplished. I am extremely offended that something like this would be reported on myself, and that I can not even defend myself so that I don't have to go through the hassle of not only having to find a new financial institution, but to have to transfer all automatic debits/deposits as well. I am elderly and this is not easy for a person like myself to accomplish.

Consumer Complaint: Last Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX of 2021, around XXXX, I tried to deposit {$3600.00}, in all XXXX dollar bills, into a PNC Bank atm located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, KY, XXXX, United States. I am not a member at this bank but I knew of the atms feature of being able to deposit money into ones account. The atm counted the money I put into the machine correctly and proceeded to ask me to continue. Once I clicked continue the atm told me that I wasnt able to deposit money in the atm to put into my account and that I had to go to my own bank institution. However, it never refunded the money that I put into the machine. It never even gave me a decline receipt for not being able to deposit the money. I then went into the bank to talk to a manager about what happen. After an hour of trying to explain what happen to my bank, XXXX, over the phone and the PNC bank manager, I was trying to figure out how to get my money back. XXXX was telling me there was no transaction history of me trying to deposit money into my account and the PNC bank manager was telling me since I was not a member at their bank institution there was no way to check my account to see why money wasnt deposited. Once understanding that there wasnt much my bank could do for me because there was no transaction history or no data to support my claim, PNC became my only option of trying to get my money. It only makes sense, PNC bank was where I deposited my money ; their atm was what took my money and didnt give me my money back. They had my money. But the PNC bank manager said their atms are serviced by a 3rd party company. The PNC bank manager would never give me the number to their 3rd party company that services that atm either. From what the manager told me, the 3rd party company are the only ones that would know of the overage in the atm. Ive called the PNC bank customer service number off of their website and spoke to a supervisor and explained to her what had transpired and she gave me a reference number and said she would call me within 24 to 48 hours with more details on how we could resolve the situation. The incident was that Thursday, so I expected a call the next day, which wouldve been Friday, or the following Monday. I still have not received a call. Tuesday I called the PNC branch where the incident took place and gave them the reference number to see if they could find any details of what their higher ups did with the situation. However, they couldnt find anything with the reference number i gave them. They then said Id have to get in touch with consumer financial protection bureau to try to resolve the situation.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX, my mortgage was sold to PNC Bank. My escrow account was also transferred to them in it's entirety from XXXXXXXX XXXX My Property taxes which were due for the amount of {$1700.00} were due on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. PNC Bank failed to pay my property taxes out of my escrow account. I noticed the error on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and immediately notified my lender of the mistake via a phone call. The lender initiated an investigation and told me to inquire again on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX they had still not concluded their investigation and I was advised by a financial advisor to pay the taxes myself out of pocket and pursue getting the money back from PNC Bank. I took this action on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Paying my property taxes of {$1700.00} plus an additional {$85.00} in interest and fees. I called PNC Bank again to let them know of this, and was told they would reimburse me for my expenses. I forwarded all the proper receipts and documentation to PNC Bank on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and PNC Bank claims to still be " investigating '' my case, but has not provided any resolution or sent me any of my money which is due me for paying my property taxes. I am glad I took the action of paying the taxes myself, as if I had not, my house would have been placed under a lien on XX/XX/XXXX. PNC Bank has not provided me any reason why they can not reimburse me for the funds I have paid out of pocket for their mistake.

Consumer Complaint: Im a first time CASH home buyer and I've been trying to purchase a bank owed property from PNC bank for a YEAR now!!! I've been in touch with my realtor, my title agency and PNC bank weekly and yet Im still a sitting duck. Last XXXX I was One day to closing on a Doublewide mobile home on land and there was a title issue. The banks attorney did 90 % of the work to clear title. All that needs to be done to clear title is for the paperwork to be submitted to XXXX ( XXXX ) since a mobile home is considered a vehicle. I DON'T understand what the hold up is. Instead of the banks attorney submitting the final paperwork to clear the title and get me to closing he tried to pawn it off onto my title agency. Since the attorney offered such a low amount of money to the title agency to go into an Escrow acct. to finish his job if he " can't " clear title the underwriters turned him down and that leaves me at square one again. The banks ' attorney has very poor to no communication & hes NOT doing his job to get resolve this to get me to closing!

In my request they were reminded of the claims and defense timeframe and the law that I am covered under. However, the representative still would not accept my claim. I asked to speak to a supervisor which she said she was transferring me and it hung up. I have XXXX year warranties for both of my residences and each claim I have paid out of pocket to fix or had to purchase new appliances.
