Consumer Complaint: I failed victim to a phone scam. Minutes later I realize that I was taken for a loop, I immediately placed a whole on my bank account. I contacted PNC Bank told them what happen and they put a hold on my account-within a hour. I went to the bank in person the next day and explain the situation. Explained the scam and told them that I didn ; t want to go through with the any transaction from the following day, They told me all transactions from the next day will be stopped and disputed, We where insured that everything was caught in time and all accounts will be closed. 4 days later, PNC process five of the transactions that we told was a scam. This totally over {$6900.00}. We told them that they were fraud transaction and asked not to process them. Why would the be process. The PNC bank state that the dispute is denied. We need help getting our money back.

Consumer Complaint: I have my final mortgage payment today. I am also a deposit customer of PNC. I couldn't make my final payment online, so I called in. They told me that they have to either fax or mail me a payoff statement and that my only options to pay my mortgage off were by cashier 's check or wire transfer. This is not an early payoff ; it's just my last payment. I asked for other options since my payment is due today and I can not wait for a payoff letter, nor can I have one faxed. The agent, XXXX, told me those were my only options. Even though I maintain a deposit account with PNC, I could not just make the payment to them digitally or over the phone. I have to physically go into a PNC branch, have their payoff department fax a payoff statement, and then submit a wire transfer ( to my own bank ) for the payoff. It's 2021 and they are still processing mortgage payoffs like we did in the XXXX. They offer no other options other than forcing me to take time off work to go to a branch and handle this in-person, during a pandemic. If I waited for them to mail a payoff statement, the payment would be late. This is incredibly customer-unfriendly, and it seems they're purposefully making the process of paying off a mortgage as troublesome as they can. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was denied and told they will just tell me the same thing. I asked to file a complaint and the agent told me she took my compliant, but couldn't give me any kind of confirmation.

Consumer Complaint: PNC Bank started charging me a $ XXXX monthly maintenance fee for my Performance Select checking account in XX/XX/XXXX without clearly notifying me. I did not notice the recurring fee until XX/XX/XXXX, at which point I had unknowingly spent {$270.00} in fees. I called on XX/XX/XXXX to complain and spoke with XXXX and she said they would refund ( only ) two months of fees ( {$50.00} ). PNC Bank should be required to clearly and repeatedly explicitly notify customers when their account balance falls to a point where they begin charging maintenance fees. If an account falls below the required balance threshold to maintain a free performance select checking account, PNC bank should reduce the account tier instead of charging a maintenance fee to maintain a preferred account.

Consumer Complaint: My loan was transferred to PNC Bank ( without my knowledge ) on XX/XX/2021. They did not inform me of this until XX/XX/2021. That being said, I contacted my previous mortgage company to get their information and made my XXXX payment ( which was accepted and applied to my mortgage ) in XXXX and ON TIME. I received a collections call on XX/XX/2021 for my XXXX payment. I called the bank as the recorded line instructed me to do. I asked the representative that answered ( XXXX XXXX why I was being called and she said I was getting called by their collections department. I informed her that my payment was not late and after talking to two representatives who both informed me that I was late ( XXXX and XXXX XXXX in making my payment that I was getting called by their collections department ( on my work phone without my consent ), and that I would be assessed a late fee. When I explained to them that what they were doing was against the rules as set by the CFPB they still tried to tell me that I was late, but would not get a late fee unless the payment was not received by the XXXX. They did transfer me to their collections department. The individual I talked to in their collections department understood that I was correct and that what they are doing is not in accordance with Federal Regulations and stated that in accordance to the PNC rules I could NOT put in a cease and desist order stopping them from calling me on my work phone unless I took the action of writing to them. I have never given PNC permission to call me on my work phone or my cell phone. My loan was transferred to them without my consent or knowledge. This is creating a hostile collections environment for me when I am not even late in making my payments. They are trying to embarrass me at work, stress me out and may have even tried to illegally assess a late fee when the payment was not late. I have had many mortgages and have never received a collections call from any of them.

Consumer Complaint: This involves my PNC Bank checking account. I do not have any form of overdraft protection with my PNC account. They are supposed to decline charges. However, on XX/XX/21, I was charged two {XXXX} overdraft fees ( {XXXX} ) for two charges totaling less than {XXXX}. In addition : there was a pending deposit on the account sent the previous day around XXXX, which would and should have prevented the overdrafts. In addition to that, I am signed up for account alerts, including overdrafts, on my account. PNC did not notify me of any overdrafts until AFTER the fees had been charged. The first point makes it illegal to do what PNC did. The second two illustrate how this bank is unethical and not acting in good faith towards its customers, instead trying to milk fees out of them even if it involves shady business practices.

Consumer Complaint: PNC has done it again! On XX/XX/XXXX. I was charged an overdraft fee that put my account in the negative! the day before I had a positive balance and with their overnight processing, somehow something I did days prior caused the account to overdraw in their calculations and not only that the same day XXXX had a {$500.00} deposit to cover all funds they claim they paid for me that happened days prior! The actual overdraft fee is what overdrew the account! The same thing happened again on XX/XX/XXXX where the day prior my account was in the positive, they did their overnight accounting and again something I did days prior they claimed overdrew the account yet that same day I had a {$1100.00} deposit and the overdraft fee they gave me overdrew the account! It makes ZERO sense and then when I call in the agent can see it is wrong and makes no sense and does nothing to refund me the fees. I have screen shots to even show the ledger that they are WRONG!

Consumer Complaint: Several transactions occuring through XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX totaling roughly XXXX. Purchased online using my compromised debit card and delivered to my home address while I was several states away. Open police report and the bank denied the claim. PNC has not been helpful at all and have had little to no communication. Tried talking to them via the chat in virtual wallet and then when I called them they said they had no record of my chat and said their app must have been compromised aswell. Yet they admit the app was hacked but still denied my claim. I m just looking to get my money back and be done with the fiasco.
