Consumer Complaint: I have checking account at PNC Bank. On XX/XX/2020 I tried to check my account online but was denied access. On XX/XX/2020 I went to the PNC branch on XXXX and the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. My ATM card did not work, meaning that I was denied access, I asked to speak with a banker and the banker advised me that I would receive a letter in the mail. I left confused so I called customer service and they advised tthat the account was frozen for my protection. I advised the customer service rep that there was not any fraud and veried the charges to my account. He did not speak very good XXXX but told me that he would send me a letter and a cashiers check for the balance. I advised the representative that I had not done anything wrong and was not sure why they would close my account. The represe tative asked me if I wanted to file a. complaint and I said yes. The representative advised me that his supervisor would call me the next day and reopen the account. As of today, XX/XX/2020, I do not have access to my account or my funds a d have not received written or verbal communication from PNC Bank.

Consumer Complaint: We received a {$50.00} PNC prepaid/gift card for taking part in a study. The documentation we received stated that there were no ATM withdrawal fees from PNC ATMs, so we went to one nearby and withdrew {$40.00} ( multiple of {$20.00} ). They charged us a {$2.00} fee anyway. You can't call them because they charge {$2.00} to talk to an actual human. You can't go to a teller because they charge {$5.00} for any sort of teller-related service with these cards. It seems pretty clear to me that the entire prepaid card business model is built on extractive hidden fees, fees for basic services ( like customer support and teller services ) or stealing money from people for failing to use the card within a specified period of time ( in the case of gift cards specifically ). It's insane to me that you all allow this business model to continue to exist. What is the CFPB even for?

Consumer Complaint: The company keeps calling my boyfriend and telling him that I owe certain companies certain amounts of money. The guy is giving him company names and amount details. I returned the mans call the first time he called my boyfriend and said I wasnt allowed to have calls during work hours. He said I was lying. He continued to call me multiple times a day even though I answered. I asked several times for physical copies of the bills he has told me he does not have to provide that and that there isnt a supervisor that would want to talk to me. I have asked him to stop calling people I know and he said he would then he did it again.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/22 Indemnification Form received, according to PNC 's policy they need this form signed to issue a cashier 's check for any amount above {$25000.00} but the form they sent me is to reissue the check and hold the bank harmless. So if this form needed to be signed for the check to be originally issued and I did not sign it how is it that PNC cut a check for me to begin with? And if they could not have cut me a check, to begin with then how did they lose the original check? XX/XX/22 I spoke at length on the phone with a representative about this form he was supposed to relay this to the person assigned to my account he, however, did not, and now the person assigned to my account is requesting this form which I will not sign. I have requested an immediate mailing address for my attorney to mail a letter to and have not received an address yet. I will not sign this form because I will be pursuing legal action against PNC for their gross mishandling of my account over the past 4 months and due to the fact that I closed the account over a month ago and I am still owed {$33000.00} from PNC. I am filing this last complaint to make a record that PNC will be paying all of my legal fees.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I obtained a mortgage through National City Bank. I only put a small amount down so I was required to have private mortgage insurance. National City was acquired by PNC bank and I was consulted by mortgage loan officer XXXX XXXX of PNC ( XXXX ) and encouraged to refinance with more attractive terms which I did. In XXXX XXXX XXXX reached out to me again and explained that I had fulfilled the requirement with timely payments to no longer have PMI. I called the number given to request the PMI be removed ( XXXX ) and was informed that within 7-10 business days I would receive the information to have it removed by sending the request to PNC BANK XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, OH. XXXX Later, I received a letter stating that although I met the 80 % or less of my homes appraised value, neither the length of time nor my timely payment history would be cause for the PMI to be eliminated. Instead it would remain for the life of the mortgage. Please assist me in this matter as PNC is unjustified in maintaining this insurance as a profit making tool and not a defense to mitigate possible loss from default.

Issue: Unauthorized transactions or other transaction problem
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: From PNC Bank, on XX/XX/XXXX, there were numerous unauthorized wire transfers in which PNC ignored their own security alerts. PNC was alerted that these transfers were unauthorized transfers before PNC transferred the money out of my account : 1. XX/XX/XXXX Unauthorized transfer of {$990.00} + {$25.00} wire transfer fee 2. XX/XX/XXXX Unauthorized transfer of {$990.00} + {$25.00} wire transfer fee 3. XX/XX/XXXX Unauthorized transfer of {$990.00} + {$25.00} wire transfer fee 4. XX/XX/XXXX Unauthorized transfer of {$1000.00} + {$25.00} wire transfer fee 5. XX/XX/XXXX Unauthorized transfer of {$1500.00} + {$25.00} wire transfer fee My daughter is a witness to these unauthorized transfers. She, my daughter, is the user of this custodial account I set up for her financial protection. PNC will not return my calls of concern and told my daughter that I am responsible for the wire transfers. I have called PNC three times, spoke with the manager, and called their security-line 3 times. I have been hung up on, told how sorry they are ( but told there's 'nothing ' they can do ), and even denied 'where " the money transfers were sent ( they said they don't have documented proof to show me ). All of my banking access is secured with a 3rd system cell phone code, so my accounts could NOT have been logged onto to make the Money Transfers. My daughter has been given PNC account alerts to any unauthorized activity AND does respond " yes '' or " no '' to any activity ; however, there was NO alerts given on these Money Transfers of XX/XX/XXXX. Can someone help me?
