Consumer Complaint: My account randomly became frozen on XX/XX/XXXX under the caption " due to recent activity that triggered some security alerts. '' When I tried contacting customer support to try to figure out what triggered alerts and reactivate my account, I received a message stating I would be contacted via email in 5-7 days. In 6 days ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I was contacted via email and still received no definitive answer for what had happened to my account and why. The email stated that the case requires additional attention from another team and that they will reach out to me. Later that same day XXXX received this message : " I AM SORRY BUT THERE IS NO FURTHER INFORMATION OR DETAIL I CAN PROVIDE ABOUT WHY THE ACCOUNT IS Suspended. Do NOT, under any circumstance, tell the account holder that : they are being investigated ; their account is being investigated ; their account iwas suspended by XXXX XXXX or XXXX ; or any other detail or information about who actioned the account or why the account was actioned. '' Since this all began on the XXXX I still have no received information that can tell me what exactly was flagged or why i can't access my account. I have {$280.00} stuck in that account that I can't transfer because of the freeze.

Consumer Complaint: Hi My name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. I operate an account with PayPal with Reference ID : XXXX. Recently Sat, XX/XX/2021. XXXX XXXX, my account was blocked and I received a mail stating that I can no longer use their service also my funds are going to held for 180 days. I was surprised since I have no issue with any of my clients who has paid us via PayPal. we offer a fair service that only accepts payment once our clients are satisfied with our service to them. Since the mail stated that I violated one of their rules and I wasn't sure which one was it, I mailed them and I was told that my documents didn't match information on their platform. I sent them a mail trying to explain what happened and they haven't gotten back to me ever since. I have attached the conversation with them here, And I am hoping to get a response.

Consumer Complaint: PayPal has held a balance in the account for 180 days and want to hold for another 180 days. There's no access I can't accept, withdraw or transfer funds and they say I'm a buyer and that isn't true. The honest truth. I've given my driver license and have even linked my bank account and debit card. They won't respond to my calls or emails and I need my funds of {$1300.00}. It's not fair and I'm so very frustrated.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I received a new XXXX XXXX card because of fear of compromise. On XX/XX/XXXX I checked my PayPal Account to ensure all cards had been deleted from the wallet section. To my surprise my new XXXX XXXX card has been placed in the PayPal Account without my consent or knowledge. PayPal tells me that someone has access to my card. This is not true. No one has access to my card. Problem is : PayPal for some reason will not remove an old email and mobile that were hacked back in XX/XX/XXXX. One of their customer service reps and I recently changed the primary email and phone number on my account. But their automated system is still asking for an email to be sent to my old email address for verification of my identity and to reset the password. There customer service people do not have a clue as to how to fix this issue. Their actions are robotic. They do not have a clue of an issue of this magnitude and complexity. I have sent numerous emails to no avail. The executive offices will not respond. This lack of customer care is unacceptable for a company like PayPal. Needless to say, If I ever get this rectified, I will have nothing to do with PayPal. Companies do not understand the enormity of these issues until It is felt in the bottom line. In the final analysis : the hackers still have access to my initial email account and they are having a hay day on penetrating my accounts and all because PayPal is unwilling to do their diligence to protect my account information. The old information needs to be removed from their system. Each time they try to verify me via their automated system and I know the answers to the questions are correct, I can not be verified according to their system. They need to update their automated system with the correct information. I am at a cross roads. I need help in fixing this
