Consumer Complaint: 1. On XX/XX/XXXX, 2 of my roommates sent me Rent and Utilities money via Paypal, so i could pay the joint bills. 2. On XX/XX/XXXX or 3rd I logged into my Paypal account to transfer that money to my checking account. 3. When I went through the process to transfer the money to my checking account, Paypal 's web site informed me that my account had been limited due to unusual activity. Paypal prevented me from transfering my money to my personal checking account. 4. After following a number of different screens, Paypal demanded ( via its web site ) 4 pieces of information : a. A bank statement b. A photo Id c. Proof of address. d. An explanation of the transactions involved. 5. Paypal limited the account access, preventing me from transfering my money, but was more than happy to allow money into the Paypal system. This created a situation where Paypal is holding my money after taking it in, knowing that they were not going to let me transfer my money out. Paypal should have prevented money from coming into their system if they were going to prevent it from coming out, and hold that money hostage. 6. Attempting to contact Paypal to resolve this issue w as a nightmare. The 888 number hang-up on me and would not put me through to a human. The web site is filled with circular references. Trying the " Message '' feature lead to conversations with chatbots that were no help. Getting through to a human was almost impossible. It is clear that Paypal does not want to speak to people about the money that Paypal is holding hostage. They refuse to communicate, and place customers in an extortionist situation. Paypal has your money, and refuses to speak with you to resolve the situation. 7. After numerous communications with Paypal, providing ALL the requested information after the extortion that they would only give me my money if I provided the documents, Paypal decided to close the Paypal account. This is perfectly fine, but Paypal has also refused to return the money to the senders, or give the money to me. To summarize : 1. Paypal accepted a money transfer for me, despite placing my account on hold. 2. Paypal demanded information and refused to return the money to the senders or give it to me, creating an extortion attempt. I had no choice but to provide the information if I wanted my money back. 3. All requested information was provided. 4. Paypal choose to close the account AND hold onto the money.

I've contacted cash app and they said they will handle it. A month later they claim the issue is resolved because paypal sent them {$77.00} to give to me but all paypal did was remove the money from my balance and send it to cash app. The missing deposit was never received.

Before when my account is not verified They e mail me something how my paypal account without limit, and then I just follow the instruction and then they congrats that I am already established seller and my account is unlimited payments then I transact everyday, and now, after transacting every a few months later, paypal sent me an email today that I can't no longer use any transaction o business in Paypal, the problem is I have a waiting payment in Paypal, and according to e email I can no longer recieved money using paypal, I try to go their resolution center but I don't see anything to fix the problem

Consumer Complaint: PayPal Changed their acceptable use policy after we had initially signed up, And canceled our accounts with out first warning us of the violation of policy, I believe it would have been in the best interest of both PayPal and the Customer that if there had been a policy violation to explain that it cant be done, Since the activities in and of themselves wasn't illegal. Now PayPal Has Put a Hold on customers funds that it has refused to do business with, Release the funds or reinstate the account.
