Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I opened up a PayPal Business Account to sell secondhand clothing online through an app called XXXX. Within 2-3 weeks of me opening my business account PayPal put a permanent ban on my account. According to PayPal I opened a personal account in XXXX which I never used and have completely forgot about. The reason for the ban is because some of the information in the personal account from 8 years ago matches the information with the new business account I made in XXXX called PayPal to try and resolve the issue but they said they couldnt help me and I was banned for life. Even after giving them all the information to prove that I was the owner of both accounts and was not committing identity theft/fraud. I find it unfair that PayPal never warned me about how my account was at risk of being banned and how I was allowed to put in the information from my last account that I completed forgot about. Being banned from PayPal has disrupted my life because most e-commerce services require PayPal. I would like a second chance and for PayPal to lift my ban.

Consumer Complaint: I received a notice from PayPalXXXX on XX/XX/2021 that my personal PayPal account in now Permanently ban limited and that I can not use the account to receive payments or do any type of money transfers. The Permanent Ban Limitation provides no explanation of why the account is now banned or why I can no longer do business on PayPal. There is a XXXX day limitation placed on the funds in the PayPal account. On the PayPal website there is no way to try to resolve the issue of having the Permanent Ban Limitation lifted and have the account reinstated. I have not violated any of PayPal policy agreements, I do not have any prior disputes, strikes, and limitations on my PayPal account. I would like a resolution of my PayPal account reinstated lifting the permanent ban limitation so there are no restrictions on my PayPal account. As well as an explanation for why the PayPal account was flagged for permanent ban limitation and what I would need to fix the issue to have my account back.
