Consumer Complaint: I was hit by a tornado on XX/XX/2022. I had received no insurance money and had to dip into my own annuity for XXXX which I was earning 4 % interest not to mention the taxes I paid for that withdrawal and drain my savings account to get the construction done for my house to be livable again. My insurance company went out of business, the insurance commissioner then turned it over to another insurance company who screwed the whole thing up so my insurance commissioner turned it over to another insurance company called XXXX XXXX. They treated me wonderfully. I did everything needed to get me my money reimbursed and sent the insurance checks to PHH mortgage in early XXXX. I received two checks from XXXX XXXX with my name and my mortgage companys name which at that time was PHH mortgage. I signed the checks and sent them to PHH to be counter signed. They held onto it for about two months, and then sold my mortgage off to XXXX XXXX along with my checks and everything that backed up my losses. I have begged XXXX XXXX to release my checks and they continuously ask me for more and more information that has already been provided. They are holding up two checks of mine XXXX. One for XXXX - XXXX and the other for Other Structures - XXXX. They have drug this out for the three months theyve had my mortgage not to mention the time it was held up by my previous mortgage company ( PHH Mortgage ). I have recently been XXXX with XXXX XXXX, and Im going through XXXX and can not even afford my XXXX bills. I took money out of my own pocket to pay for repairs which an insurance company should have handled without involving a mortgage company such as these two. I even spent money to get a document from my clerk of courts office in XXXX XXXX XXXX to show that I have no liens on my house only a mortgage.

Consumer Complaint: I was effected by the pandemic and went on a forbearance plan, during the plan I was told consecutively on the phone that I could at the end of the forbearance plans that I could role the amount owed to the end of the loan and proceed with my normal payments. Although they continued to raise my mortgage during the pandemic. XX/XX/2021 I called to proceed with my new raised mortgage payment of XXXX, was told that I couldn't make that payment because I had to make the total forbearance payment in the area of XXXX dollars to bring account to current status. Was told that the owner of my loan would not modify my loan because I exceeded the total amount that the owner would allow. This being after several modification applications submitted. I payed XXXX XXXX XXXX firm to help and they didn't help at all. I need my loan modified or refinanced been in this home for 17 years and it has plenty of equity in it. I want to keep my home.

Consumer Complaint: XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX I work up tell XXXX and i put everything into my home just tobe rob from me with a reverse mortgage. What a feeling at my age i should be enjoying the golden years and not worrying about money. I never been in trouble walk right all my life did 8 years with the XXXX on a XXXX boat out in the sea never seen land for months. I still fought for this country we live in I don't even recognize my hometown. This reverses mortgage was supposed to make me live without having to worry about money. I put all my money into my home I raised my boys.one of my boys came home to help me and I'm thankful he did I needed it.now what i know about this reverse mortgage i wouldn't have sign the papers, I would have finish paying my house of i was only XXXX away from doing just that. I started with XXXX bank and now I'm with XXXX XXXX I have equity on my home its XXXX but sense the interest is climbing so fast no other mortgage company will help a old veteran causes it's up to XXXX they had 6 lawyers all in one room it was just me and my boy all alone they never told me not once that I was gone have XXXX interest. I would have never sign!!!

Consumer Complaint: I need have my monthly statements sent on time. I receive my mortgage statement on the XXXX of every month. That doesn't give me enough time to send the payment by the XXXX of each month. If my payment is not applied by the XXXX of each month, I'm charged a penalty and it will show on my credit report. The only method of payment I've been using is writing a check and mailing it. That's the best way for me to keep track when the check is cashed. I don't trust having the amount drafted out of my account. Also I need to modify my loan. I have a balloon note that will be due in 2028.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir, This is in reference to monthly Mortgage Payment to PHH Mortgage. I am a very good in making mortgage payments on time with zero delay in payment history except during XXXX XXXX when I lost my job. On XX/XX/XXXX, I tried to make mortgage payment by phone or on their website but that was not accepted so I mailed a payment by check on XX/XX/2022 to their XXXX XXXX XXXX. I spoke with them on XX/XX/XXXX to inquire receipt of check but the representative said that it did not showed up yet in their facility and she gladly accept payment on phone and promised to use check against XXXX Installment. The check was cashed on XX/XX/XXXX but they did not credit it to my account. I called them and they said they never receive this check, then I discuss this matter with their supervisor ( XXXX ID # XXXX ) and send is all the proofs. He suggested to take this matter with XXXX bank ( Issuer ). I went to the XXXX bank and they gave me a form to file fraud claim which need to be signed by me and PHH mortgage Services so I can get my money back but its almost XXXX weeks, I am not getting any response from PHH Mortgage. Every day I sent them Emails and tried to contact them on phone requesting to help me but no response. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: Background Information : My father, a XXXXXXXX XXXX, had a reverse mortgage through PHH Mortgage. He died XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX. My Mom fought through endometrial XXXX and XXXX XXXX in XXXX while my father fought and lost his fight from XXXX XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, my Moms endometrial XXXX returned. My sister and I became her power of attorney and spoke to PHH Mortgage in XX/XX/XXXX. We explained that our Mom was traveling back in forth from the home that she shared with my father in XXXX, SC ( property with reverse mortgage ) to where we both stayed in XXXX XXXX, SC. PHH Mortgage explained that we needed to send a letter from her doctor along with the power of attorney. We emailed all of this information along with our names and contact information on XX/XX/XXXX. My Mom was labeled terminal in XX/XX/XXXX and died XX/XX/XXXX. Both my sister and I are trustees of her estate. My sister was contacted on XX/XX/XXXX on XXXX by an attorney who notified us that she was contacting us on behalf of the buyer of the foreclosure sale of our parents property in XXXX, SC ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, SC XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Complaint : 1. There was no communication to us ( either my sister or I, both of us were listed on the power of attorney ) even after the power of attorney was sent. 2. PHH Mortgage used improper communication and incorrect foreclosure process according to SC code XXXX. In the instance of an execution to a sheriff in which personal property must be seized and sold in a judicial sale, the procedure and terms of the sale are dictated by another set of rules found at 15-39-610, et seq. Where the sheriff is responsible for the execution, he must specify " in an advertisement the property to be sold, the time and place of sale, the name of the owner of the property, and the party at whose suit the sale is to be made. '' ( XXXX ). The advertisement should be published at three public places in the county, one of which should be the courthouse door, and another in a newspaper, for a period of fifteen days prior to the day of sale ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ). Additional particulars of sheriff 's judicial sales are set out in Chapter XXXX, XXXX XXXX, at XXXX, et seq. The sale was posted in the newspaper on XX/XX/XXXX with is not 15 days prior to the day of sale. Was the sale advertised for three ( 3 ) weeks immediately preceding the date of the sale? The sale ( XX/XX/XXXX ) was not advertised for XXXX weeks We feel that these unlawful intentional XXXX disparities have been occurring more in rural/minority controlled areas for a long time.
