Consumer Complaint: This is a XXXX complaint against PHH mortgage. Every year they fail to update insurance on their file. This year we have same insurance as we had last year. PHH Asked to send updated policy. We did. PHH asked to supply document that shows our personal names on the policy. We did. WE received email and mail once again that they are unable to update our insurance. PHH purchased our loan from XXXX XXXX. I have loans in few different banks, so we can compare multiple mortgage companies. PHH is the only company that tried to defraud us every year trying to charge us for fake insurance because they are " unable '' to update our insurance. I am sure we are not the only customers with this issue, We are asking to audit PHH for fraudulent practices and they shouldn't be able to carry commercial landing license. All our insurance policies are in effect and all information was provided on timely manner to PHH

Consumer Complaint: I have an all cash offer to pay my PHH mortgage in full and I asked for an extension of the foreclosure sale date due to title issues. My mother, deceased in 2012 was still on title. I also provided PHH all the documentation requested PRIOR to the foreclosure sale date which were : - Proof of funds in escrow - Sales contract And they still refused to extend the foreclosure sale date. So I also filed bankruptcy to stop the sale and buy time, and they still sold the house to a third party and are now having to rescind the sale. This is the fourth complaint I have filed against this unscrupulous mortgage company. I am a XXXX yo XXXX woman on dialysis trying to realize the generational wealth my parents left me and these people are doing their best to prevent that from happening. I need time to handle the title issue and have retained an attorney to do that. My cash investor is willing to wait until we can go through expedited probate. PHH will get their money.

Consumer Complaint: During Covid I applied for a forbearance with my mortgage company since my husband was no longer working. It was granted. When we were ready to resume payments, I called and let them know, but they told me I had to pay the total amount upfront ( at the time about XXXX ) and I told them I couldn't afford that, but that I wanted to resume regular payments. We went in circles with them telling me I had to pay the full amount upfront, but that they would refer us to someone who could help us ; then they would hang up on us ( we have recordings of the conversations ). This went on multiple times over the course of a couple of months until my husband was finally able to speak with someone who said they would just extend the length of the mortgage for the overdue amount. We received the paperwork for this amendment, however, they blocked my online access to my account and thereby prevented me from paying my mortgage ( I have screenshots ). I managed to make 2 payments via the phone where each time I had to wait 20 minutes to speak to someone who once again told me I owed the full amount. I repeatedly called them over the next couple of months to try and get them to restore access to my on-line account so that I could pay my mortgage efficiently and timely, however they refused to re-instate it. They would hang up multiple times when I would ask to be transferred to someone who could help me. This is deceptive business practices and I do believe they want to foreclose on the house rather than resolve this issue. Thank you!

Consumer Complaint: I bought my home in XXXX. The mortgage was an ARM with a second. In XXXX I had to file for bankruptcy because the mortgage payment was getting too high. In XXXX Ocwen sent me an application for a home modification ( I received the mortgage application three days after the date it needed to be mailed back ). I called Ocwen to see if I could still submit the loan. They accepted that. Ocwen 's loss mitigation department said they were going to write off the second mortgage at that time. Ocwen denies this. I had been making payments on both mortgages, the first and second, prior to the modification. Ocwen is saying the account is in bankruptcy status. The bankruptcy was finalized prior to me starting the modification. Ocwen also states I never reaffirmed on the mortgage. I did. Ocwen told me I did not qualify for a HAMP or a HARP modification. Ocwen said they could offer me an " in-house '' modification. I started the in-house modification in XXXX. I had to make three trial payments then the modification would become permanent. The amortization on their website was for a 15-year modification. I completed all my payments on time, never late. I made the last payment on XX/XX/XXXX to pay the loan off. I had to make bank wires for the payments. Ocwen is now saying I owe 15 more years of payments. They are threatening forclosure.

Consumer Complaint: After a year and half of trying to resolve the issues with this mortgage, I filed a complaint here late last year ( XXXX ) and on XX/XX/XXXX I received a reply from PHH Mortgage stating that I had been granted a new loan modification and I would be receiving documentation detailing said new modification in the following days. It is now XX/XX/XXXX, and despite several phone calls over the last few weeks, and speaking with a few PHH associates I have not received any further information on the loan modification I was promised. Currently my account is in forbearance that ends on XX/XX/XXXX. I will be requesting an extension. And I will continue to call to try and speak with someone. But at the end of the day, this entire saga has been exhausting, frustrating, and scary. I'd like resolution.
