Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter indicating the account is past due. I received another similar letter in XXXX and the monthly statements are showing a past due amount since XXXX. I have bi weekly withdraws and auto pay on this account and in order to be eligible for that, I had to pay a month in advance. Therefore, at no point would this account ever be late given the biweekly debits and monthly autopay. I also received a check for a mortgage insurance refund but I have not paid for mortgage insurance on this account, so I am not sure why they arbitrarily removed money from my escrow and refunded it to me.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I paid PHH Mortgage XXXX .The check cleared on XXXX XXXX. On XXXX XXXX I received a letter stating I was in default of my loan because they didnt receive my payment.I wen to my bank on XX/XX/XXXX and got a signed copy from the bank showing the check had been paid.Because when I faxed the first copy they also claimed they couldnt read it. So thats when I went to the bank.I have emailed, faxed and mailed letters over and over and every time they say they can read it or its not legible.The last letter I received was XXXX XXXXsaying I was in default! I havent missed a payment I pay my mortgage every month.they have also added late fees to this loan. I dont know what to do.my nights are sleepless because of this. I would like to file a complaint against PHH Mortgage! Thanks XXXX

You can make this request by contacting your lender XXXX. OR Termination Based on Current Value : You can also request cancellation based on the equity in your homes current value. Consumer Complaint: We have filed several complaints against PHH Mortgage and they are the worst lender/mortgage service company to deal with. Our latest complaint is the same as a similar complaint where we believe they did not give us proper credit for payments we made between the years XXXX and XXXX. We bring this light again ; because recently we received in the XXXX mail revised Mortgage Interest Statements for the years XXXX and XXXX. Each of these statements shows an increase in mortgage interest compared to the original 1098. This indicates to us that they never gave us credit for two separate payments we made during those contested years which proves to us they never properly credited us payments they claim we were in arrears to them on!

Consumer Complaint: I was made aware by Newrez XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX that I will have additional payments for monthly Escrow shortage in XX/XX/XXXX due to 3 months lapse in property insurance the ending of XXXX and the company placed insurance on the property. The total amount of the escrow was going to be {$1000.00}. The option was given me to pay the entire shortage amount prior to the month of XXXX of {$1000.00} or to pay an additional amount in my monthly mortgage of {$83.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a payment in the amount of {$1000.00}. Unbeknownst to me the payment was sent to principle and not escrow as per request on the check. Per representative of the bank who I spoke to in XXXX after receiving a late notice ; the payment made in XXXX was allocated to extra principle. I did not look on my statement from the bank until XXXX as I know my mortgage amount is fixed ( I pay my own taxes and insurance ) and saw I was being charged {$83.00} monthly and now my account has a past due amount of {$2100.00} of which {$410.00} was for unpaid late charges. My mortgage is paid before the tenth of each month. I spoke to another representative who told me they were not able to reverse the money that was sent to principle in XXXX because the request was not made within 30 days of payment. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a payment for my monthly mortgage amount of {$1600.00} and two days later XX/XX/XXXX an additional amount of {$1600.00}. I called the company close to the ending of the month of XXXX to ensure the extra payment was allocated to the right department. Again, it was not sent to the right department. My request was made before the 30 days time and I requested an adjustment. The representative stated they had to do an analysis and a refund will be issued to me for the overage. I called again XX/XX/XXXX, and was informed the refund was being process. I look at my statement again XX/XX/XXXX and again the adjustment was not done. Spoke to several representative XX/XX/XXXX which included a manager and again they have to do another analysis.

Last month, in XXXX, 5 months after the house was paid off and cleared escrow, I received a call from PHH Mortgage, claiming I requested a charge back of {$750.00} and it was sent to the requester, I believe, two days later. I informed them I do not request the charge back and verified it through three way call with my bank. I even went as far to have my bank verify that Ive had the same checking account for over 30 years, that I do not have any other accounts and that I have not received the charge back. They gave me the last for of the account # that it was paid to and it clearly was not mine and they couldnt provide proof of who requested the charge back. Even after providing proof, they wont stop calling me and sending letters.
