Consumer Complaint: I have already submitted a complaint regarding the factual issues with how my company has handled my income-based repayment plan. Please reference complaint ID XXXX. I am filing this complaint because I do not believe the original complaint was resolved and there was no continuation option other than to provide feedback which will not go anywhere. Despite the futility, I did submit feedback. This complaint will not focus on the facts of the exact nature of the original complaint, rather what was not addressed. The facts under the previous complaint demonstrated that my income of record did not match the advertisement and marketing puposes of the income-based repayment plan. The plans are supposed to move and dovetail with actual income, however, several factors indicate that is not the case. Nelent Inc. representatives even acknowledged that the most recent calculations could not be accurate. The allegations in this complaint is similar but is instead focused on the practices of Nelnet IncXXXX in application of the repayment plans.

Consumer Complaint: My credit rating just took a 100-point drop as of today. It had gone up as of yesterday when I got caught up on my loan. It shows that the balance of my loan has gone up. I am on an income-based repayment plan because I was laid off last year due to COVID and had to take another one that paid over {$10000.00} less. How can my credit rating go down that much overnight when I just got caught up on my loans? Is the payment even being applied correctly? Such a low credit score can severely impact a lot of other things. All they should be reporting is that Im paying on this loan and I am paying on time. Nelnets business practices and credit reporting processes must be investigated. This is happening to way too many people and I believe there is something highly unethical going on here. I think the company may be resorting to shady reporting tactics to try and squeeze more money out of people paying on their student loans, especially since the freeze on interest and payments has been extended.

Consumer Complaint: Recently I looked at a copy of my credit report and noticed some incorrect information. Currently XXXX XXXX company is reporting wrong and inaccurate information in which I want to be removed from my credit report. I feel that this account is adversely affecting my credit report and would like to get this checked out. As of now on my XXXX report XXXX is showing an incorrect last payment date of XX/XX/2019 when XXXX is showing the date of XX/XX/2019. XXXX is also showing a balance while XXXX is not which of course means that the information reporting is inaccurate and needs to be removed from each credit bureau. If in fact upon your investigation you see that my statement is accurate I would like to get the account removed from my report. I also want to file a complaint against Nelnet Inc in regards to my student loans. They are reporting late payments to the credit bureaus when in fact all of my student loans are being deferred. I too also would like to late payments to be removed from each credit report as they are also reporting false information.

They have committed fraud and several violations of the FDCPA and TILA. They are now threatening me for an alleged debt that US DEPT OF ED/GLELSI claim I owe.
