Consumer Complaint: My XXXX account is showing delinquent payments on my federal student loans for over 120 days and I've never missed a payment. I disputed this through XXXX and my dispute did not correct this. When I attempted to redispute, I got a message saying I can't dispute something that has been disputed before. When I talked to my fed loan providers ( Nel Net ), they said to dispute through XXXX. This is severely hurting my credit score and I feel like I'll never be able to get rid of this in a timely manner, please help!

Consumer Complaint: The amount of interest charged all of these years has doubled what I owe and what I took out with continued accumulation.The interest bearing charges have not been transparent or fair. It is making obtaining a higher education for our future generations impossible. The system and allowable interest needs to be affordable to help students be successful when they get out. No assistance is given for graduate student loans on top of that high bearing interest.

Consumer Complaint: My Student loan of 30 years with XXXX held a fixed rate of 4.5 % for the term. It was sold to Nelnet Bank this year and Nelnet raised the interest rate on this FIXED rate loan to 5.75 %. I asked them to correct it back to the fixed rate value it had always had and they said Fed raised rates. I understood banks can not raise a rate on a fixed rate, student loan and so I am lodging a formal complaint.

Consumer Complaint: The dates i started to write down are as follows : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( there were several more contact attempts/disputes that i deleted from XXXX ). XXXX is reporting an incorrect balance on 4 student loans that have {$0.00} balances. I've called XXXX, I've submitted online disputes, as well as submitted a copy of the last statement showing the accounts are paid ( {$0.00} balance ). XXXX has not done their job in verification of the information as they continue to show the wrong balances on the accounts. I've spoken with representatives and was lied to by the last rep who said the info was verified with the company Nelnet. I've called nelnet and they confirmed the account has a {$0.00} balance. XXXX is reporting I owe the following : {$5300.00}, {$7200.00}, {$5300.00}, and {$7400.00}. All incorrect! I've spoken with representatives and written emails to correct with Nelnet on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX The representatives ensured that the issue would be corrected on their end, yet its still showing up on my credit report and causing issues with me purchasing a car as well as a house. Please correct this incorrect information. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: My private student loan account is with Firstmark. I have been paying on this account for over 10 years. In XXXX, the active-duty military rate was applied to the account ensuring that the interest rate did not exceed 6 %. With regular payments being made on the account, the total balance has increased instead of decreasing. Sometimes, I do pay the account earlier than the due date which is reflected in the transaction history. On XX/XX/XXXX, I emailed the company regarding concerns with the account. From XX/XX/XXXX to date, the total balance on the account has fluctuated from {$100000.00} to {$100000.00}. From XX/XX/XXXX to date, the max amount of {$8.00} from my monthly payment was applied to the principal. As annotated in the transaction history, before XX/XX/XXXX, the minimum amount applied to the account was {$240.00}. The payment allocation was changed without my authorization. I contacted the company multiple times regarding the payment allocation. I requested that more of my payment go back to being applied to the principal and they have refused. There is nothing listed in the policy or promissory note stating the account holder could not request this. Additionally, a glitch in the Firstmark system indicated that I overpaid my account. I requested a refund of my payment at the time. After the system was properly updated, it reflected that the account was not overpaid. I sent the payment and ensured the account was paid. The representative stated that there would be notes in the account. The company failed to amortize my account from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. Due to their failure, I now have to pay a higher monthly payment. My monthly payment increased from {$540.00} to {$700.00} starting in XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, the company informed me that they failed to amortize the account via email correspondence and via phone calls. The representative explained more in-depth via phone call. Additionally, annotated in the payment history, the payments made on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX were not applied to the principal or interest for the loan. Based on the payment transaction, a total of {$20000.00} in interest was calculated for the loan that I am seeking clarification on as well.

Consumer Complaint: My loans were transfered from Great Lakes Borrower Service to NelNet recently. Under GreatLakes my loans were placed into PAYE repayment plan on XX/XX/XXXX. The estimated payment was 0 . Around XXXX of this year, XXXX, I recieved a call from Great Lakes stating loan repayment would soon resume and that my estimated payment was still 0 , that I would need to update my income in XXXX. Upon transfer to NelNet the account now shows that half the loans are no longer under the PAYE program and are now reflecting a monthly payment of {$4700.00}. I am currently unemployed and my loans should still be on the PAYE plan and no changes were ever requested or authorized to this repayment schedule. I reached out through the NelNet email contact form on their website immediately in XXXX when the loans were transfered. I have never recieved a reply and now nelnet removed their email contact option making in impossible to contact them in writing.
