Consumer Complaint: Approximately XX/XX/2022 I received a alert from Navy Federal telling me to change my security code at that time I did then after noticing my account I seen that there was mobile deposits in both my personal and business checking accounts. At that time Navy Federal locked my account which I was thinking was to help me. But it wasn't the case at all they close my account I submitted appeals and fraud claims waited over 3 months for response. When I finally did get a response back I was told my accounts were not going to be reinstated my credit cards are to be closed and it's no way I can possibly become a member again after being with this financial institution for over 15 years never had no issues I would just tossed to the side with no answers on why

But they are still reporting on my credit report saying Im behind in payments even though the account has been closed by them. If they still wanted me to pay on the account why did they close it?

Consumer Complaint: I am currently serving overseas on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and my account has been under SCRA status since XX/XX/XXXX due to my military status. With my military duties and my remote location, I am limited in my abilities to check my accounts but noticed when I did that I was behind on my credit card payments and sent the payments needed to get my payments up to date. Sometime after I made all the payments to be current in my account, I tried to use my Navy Federal credit card and it was declined. I called customer service from overseas ( very time consuming and costly for me ) and they informed me that they closed my account. On my online account, there is no indication that my account is closed and it shows that I have credit available and my payments are up to date. I even mentioned this to the customer service representative when I called about this. I am very disappointed in this situation. I did not receive any notification ( perhaps they mailed it to my US address but I am not able to check my mail while XXXX ) before they closed my account. And with my account current and under SCRA protection, I am puzzled why this action was taken. This situation caused added stress to an already stressful period of me being on XXXX in a remote area XXXXXXXX. I plan on reaching out to a military legal representative to discuss this matter.

States that I have the right to privacy. 15 U.S.C 1681 Section 604 A Section 2 : States that a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. 15 U.S.C 166b A creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open-end consumer credit plan as late for any reason. In addition, this company failed to contact me prior to reporting this information to the credit bureaus. When I contacted Navy Federal they stated that they sent notices via mail, however, I didn't receive any notification regarding this matter.

Consumer Complaint: I had fraud on my navy federal checking account. The fraud wasb carried out thru XXXX. which is what i thought a safe and widely used way to send receive money which exposes. Your account numbers. The fraudsters used these numbers given by me thru plaid to steal like XXXX from my account. As soon as i noticed i contacred navy federal and was able to stop some of the transfers. I did everything possible to prevent and stop any further damage to account. Navy federal refunded me my money then a month later on payday nfcu took all of my pay check without any warning to me. Nfcu some how denied my fdic insuramce on my money. Which was not my fault. Very dirty customer service. I closed my account. I believe navy federal owes me my fdic insured money back to me.. further actions will be taken if i dont reveive my money they stole from me.
