Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have recently received information from Navient about the terms of my last agreement with repayment. This is ONLY after they sold my debt to a collection agency. I have been requesting this information in WRITING for the last 4 years, multiple times and have submitted multiple complaints with the CFPB about this topic and never received WRITTEN proof of the program I was on. While I was on the program I logged into the Navient website and found no confirmation my interest rate was lowered to the .001 % interest rate promised, and from what I saw on the website the payments I made were less than what was owed and I was late Several thousand dollars. I also noted that though I had paid on time for over a year my debt owed had actually gone up, which seems odd for a repayment plan. I was also told at the very beginning almost 4 years ago, that this plan would PREVENT me from defaulting on my loan and I didnt find out till 3 years after that I was defaulted the entire time and the only way out was to pay the loan in full, which was impossible at the rate I was going as my payments were not lowering my amount owed even after 3 1/2 years of paying {$250.00} a month. I Can not consolidate this loan because no lender will recognize my school, and Sallie Mae/ Navient at no point ever offered me a consolation loan or an opportunity to do anything with this loan other than pay the 12 % interest rate. My original amount owed was {$34000.00} I accrued 15 % interest while in school and now owe over {$56000.00} despite paying over $ 17,000+ over the last 13 years. Sallie Mae/Navient has never given me a repayment solution that actually benefited me, everything they did just added more and more to my debt owed. Im totally financially crippled because of this and cant buy a home or car or even take out credit cards, I even have to over pay on deposits to rent an apartment even because my credit score is so negativly affected. Theyve gone as far as calling my work and my XXXX year old grandma when Im even a little late on a payment and told my grandmother that my mom was going to lose her house if I didnt pay. When they called me at work I told them not to call me there and hung up, only to have them call back SEVERAL times and even tell me they knew I was getting married soon ( never disclosed so they must have learned that from my coworker ) and that maybe I should marry a rich man instead.. this company has been a thorn in my side for over a decade and I would just like to move on with my life..

Issue: Struggling to repay your loan
Subissue: Can't get other flexible options for repaying your loan
Consumer Complaint: I have contacted Navient since XX/XX/XXXX after i obtained a XXXX 's from XXXX University and attempted to make monthly payments to pay off some of the loans, the representatives i spoke with reported i can't make payments at this time and i will have to wait until i complete school, I then spoke to a supervisor and the supervisor reported he stands behind what his representative informed me off and i can't make payments. I then moved on to get a XXXX XXXXXXXX from XXXX XXXX University after I graduated in XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Navient 7-10 times during that month as representatives were unable to locate my loan on numerous occasions, and the two times i requested to speak to a supervisor, they steered me into forbearances instead of income-driven repayment plans, and provided unclear information about how to re-enroll in income-driven repayment plans and how to qualify for it. I attempted to do my research and contacted them back, the representative informed me that {$480.00} is the minimum payment allowed to make per month. I explained I am unable to pay that amount as I had just landed a job after graduating, and have a mortgage under my name along with another loan through XXXX XXXX under my father 's name that I have to repay, the representative insisted I go into forbearance. I explained that this will force me to accrue more interest, the representative reported that either I pay the {$480.00} a month or I have to make the decision to go into forbearance as those are the only options for me at this time.

Consumer Complaint: I have statement from XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX that two of my loans through Sallie Mae were sent to XXXX XXXX for collections. To the best of my knowledge, these loans were paid through collections, and I received no further correspondence regarding them until XX/XX/XXXX, when I was contacted by XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) about the same two loans, now being serviced by Navient. At the time I didn't realize that these were the same loans. Now, after several months of trying to figure this out with Navient, I do believe that I may have paid these loans a second time, in error. Additionally, after contacting the University which Navient reports that these loans were dispersed to, they have no record of any private loans for my tuition. I am unsure how to proceed at this point, as Navient is still trying to collect payment for two more loans. I was advised to begin by filing a complaint with CFPB.

Consumer Complaint: I have put in a compliant about a month ago in regards to how Mr. XXXX ( Navient Solutions ) has called many of my family members before contacting me in regards to my loans with them. Today I have received a call from Mr. XXXX at XXXX. I called him back at XXXX, even before I could get a chance to give him a call back ; he had already called one of my family members before I could give him a call back. This has been an ongoing issue and is very frustrating. I am tired of dealing with Navient Solutions. They want their money but not willing to work with the individuals. They also call everyone in your family before giving the person who is responsible for the loan to call them back.

Consumer Complaint: I was paying agreed monthly payments since XXXX, I have receipts. Up until then, I was homeless with no income ; unable to get work. The service was changed ; I continued payments. Yesterday I received a notice from a 3rd collection agency. I had received no notice of this third change. When I called them, they want me to pay {$250.00} a month. I can not afford to pay this amount. When I called Navient, I was told my loans were a charge off since XXXX. So apparently my loan keeps getting sold while I continue to pay each new collection agency.

Consumer Complaint: I am the co-signer on my sisters student loan. She got behind on a payment and they started calling me instead of her. I promptly informed my sister and she contacted Navient and they said my number would be removed from the call list. They started calling again from a different number. When I spoke with them I asked if they had contacted my sister as i had in the past. They said they tried but could not reach her, but just like in the past my sister said they did not. She called Navient again and they said they are not sure how my number ended up in the list again and said it would be removed again. 24 hours later Im still getting calls
