Consumer Complaint: I removed the option to be contacted/called by Navient but I still keep getting these on delayed payments. In addition to that, when I signed the loan agreement I was promised the cosigner on the loan was going to be removed after a certain period. It's been over 10yrs and this hasn't happened. Navient has been hard to deal with over the years since they don't even communicate the options available for the loan repayments and make it hard for me as a borrower to understand my loan, payments and such

Consumer Complaint: I received poor information from the customer service at Navient regarding my FFELP loans that financially benefited Navient and harmed me financially. I have been paying my loans for over 20 years ... paying interest. During the years, they recommended that I put my account on forebaranc and pay interest only. The information I received directed me to pay off the interest, rather than the principal. My loan was consolidated into two loans : 1. I borrowed {$17000.00} and have repaid a total of {$17000.00} ( {$12000.00} in interest ; {$5400.00} in principal ). I currently owe {$14000.00} on this loan.. 2. I borrowed {$24000.00} and have repaid a total of {$24000.00} ( {$20000.00} in interest ; {$4200.00} in principal ) and still owe {$20000.00}. The poor information I received after I graduated my MA program in Social Work disadvantaged me and has put me in a position where I have repaid my loan in interest, and still owe in principal. Also, Navient makes it incredibly difficult to find account payment and messages on their website. Their telephone representative couldn't show me ( online ) detailed information on my loan, individual payments, when they were paid, etc.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/XXXX i sent an affidavit of truth via certified mail and requested validation of alleged debt through affidavit from XXXX, XXXX and experian for thier reporting of NAVIENT accounts. On top of that i sent them a cease and desist, all documents have been notarized, I have not received an affidavit in return and it has been over 60 days. I also gave them an opportunity for remedy and have not received response. Also they have been calling me, emailing me and sending me statements in the mail. Im just tired of being harassed, and my name slandered. My life in all aspects is constantly being affected by this issue, my marriage, my time as a father I'm losing sleep and its affecting my health. This has to be resolved.

Consumer Complaint: I have been working with Navient for some time now with both my private student loans to work towards the repayment. Since I have been working with Navient they have not been forthcoming in terms of providing me with appropriate repayment options until I had started with School at XXXX around XX/XX/XXXX. They provided the option for me to pay {$100.00} on my student loans while I was in school. However in XX/XX/XXXX they had canceled that payment plan option for me because they said that I had exhausted this option which I felt was ludicrous as I have been paying for my current education out of pocket because I do not have any aid funds available which amounts to {$4000.00} every 6 months which equates to {$660.00} a month that needs to be saved to pay for this. Now Navient also wants me to pay {$850.00} a month towards my student loans, which is too much for me to be able to pay both and still be able to take care of my family. I have asked Navient when I first was told of this plan cancellation to see if there are any further programs I can be part of since I am going to school and I keep getting told that I am not longer eligible for any programs as I have exhausted them all which I don't believe that to be true as we are also in the era of COVID and based on Navient 's website is that they do have other programs available but no one had even mentioned them to me. When I have asked Navient employees during our calls " Is paying on my student loans from a fraudulent school more important than pay for my current education and even putting food on the table? '' There was never any answers. I have let them know that I am not refusing to pay but I will pay what I can so that I can have a better future to be able to pay down on my loans without feeling like I have to choose a bill or basic living necessities. I have received notice via the Borrower Defense program that my direct student loans have been forgiven from XXXX XXXX and what else I find unsettling is that the majority of my private loans are also with XXXX XXXX the servicer is not willing to work with me on providing any suggestions or assistance to help with the repayment or even recommendations regarding the fraudulent school.
