Consumer Complaint: Hello, I am emailing about the Sallie Mae settlement. I attended XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX from XXXX, I took out private loans from sallie mae that were a little over {$22000.00}. I have never been in a position to pay the loans so they kept talking me into deferments. One time the loans went into default and were sent to a collection agency but I was able to get them to pull the loans back for another deferment. as of today the loans are now over {$90000.00} with all the interest. The payments are almost {$1000.00} a month. My situation met the criteria for a loan forgiveness settlement but it was not forgiven. How can I get my account looked into for the settlement? Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you. Email is the best way to contact me. One other thing. When I took out these loans my last name was XXXX, I change my last name to XXXX 8 years ago.

Consumer Complaint: I have explained to the company ( Navient ) that I am unemployed right now, that I have no income at the moment, and have no way of paying back the loan at this time. I have explained that I am unable to work due to XXXX XXXX. They continue to call my phone ( both my landline XXXX, and my cellphone XXXX ) non-stop day and night, sometimes two and three times a day. Despite me having tried to explain to them that I unable to repay my loans at this time!

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: I have been paying every month since 2011. It was supposed to be 120 payments. My interest rate is variable and right now 9.25 %. For years I have been paying {$15.00} more than the minimum due, and have instructed that amount go to principal. It often changes and goes towards the next bill due. I have alos made several large payments of thousands of dollars. It started at {$13000.00} and I somehow STILL owe over {$4000.00}. It just doesnt move. I understand how loans accrue interest. I don't understand how I have not paid this off in 11 years though.

Consumer Complaint: I consolidated my student loans with NAVIENT and DEPT OF ED/XXXX on or about XX/XX/XXXX. I was in forbearance at that time and had been in forbearance every year since XXXX. I was also a full-time student pursuing my XXXX XXXX. However, both NAVIENT and DEPT OF ED/XXXX have been reporting my student loans as " LATE PAYMENTS ''. They refused to report my account accurately to the credit bureaus, specifically, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. My account has NEVER been late or in any derogatory status since I was both in-school and forbearance. Please remove these inaccuracies from all three ( 3 ) credit bureau reports.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX XXXX of my loans for {$43000.00} was transferred to Navient. XX/XX/XXXX my balance erroneously jumped to {$100000.00}. XX/XX/XXXX my loan balance was {$110000.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$55000.00} was subtracted from my account changed the balance owed to {$55000.00}. I was told this was to correct the error they made over 7 years ago. Navient had been accruing and charging me interest on money that I didn't owe. They erroneously added {$58000.00} to my loan and then 7 years later only removed {$55000.00}. When I discovered this issue I began asking the customer service reps about it when they call and they won't address it. They keep saying it's been fixed, move on. They did this to my other loan as well. Below are those details. XX/XX/XXXX my loan was {$33000.00} and the balance jumped to {$70000.00} ( + {$36000.00} ) XX/XX/XXXX loan balance was {$73000.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$36000.00} was subtracted from the loan and new balance was {$36000.00}

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, Navient called both my father-in-law and my sister-in-law. I don't even know how they got theirs names or information. My name is still legally XXXX and do not go by XXXX. It is 100 % inappropriate for them to be calling any of my family let alone my in-laws. I have made the request for them to stop and that I am reporting them.

Consumer Complaint: I attended XXXX from XXXX I have a private student loan through navient. On XX/XX/XXXX state attorney Generals including Massachusetts have reached a settlement agreement with navient to pay {$1.00} XXXX in private student loan cancellation. Qualified borrowers that went to XXXX the loan must of been disbursed between XXXX. The student loan must be in delinquent for 7 months or more and I qualify for that I was delinquent from XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. My original loan came from XXXX XXXX and got transferred to navient. XXXX is supposed to notify borrowers in writing by XX/XX/XXXX but I have not received anything. Any time I have called navient and ask what's going on with the settlement they have no idea. They just said you have to wait or waiting a response from department of education which is load of XXXX. I want this loan to be wiped off my credit and don't need to be responsible for the loan.

Consumer Complaint: FFELP consolidation loans were purchased by the department of education in a random fashion, and this means that protections for those who have these loans from before XXXX are unevenly applied among citizens. those whose loans were purchased by DOeD get protections which are not offered to loan holders like myself who had no choice in whether our loans were purchased by the DOeD. This is unjust. FFELP loan holders are subjected to the whims policy we can not control. Those with DOeD loans are able to request refunds for payments made after XXXXXXXX and those who have 'private federal loans ' through the FFELP program don't enjoy the same rights. It is not our responsibility to accommodate for bad policy while others enjoy rights we are not afforded. DOeD must make this right for loan holders who did not willingly apply for 'private federal loans ' but were subjected to the vagaries of bad policy while others in this category of borrowers were afforded protections in a random fashion. 'private federal loans ' is an oxymoron. Those of us who are part of the FFELP program and have loans that are not owned by DOeD are being treated differently for reasons which we can not control and have no say in.
