Consumer Complaint: In XXXX 2011 I took out a Reverse Mortgage With XXXX Mortgage ( now Champion Mortgage, same address ). My loan check was received on XXXX for a year and a half. Then it started slipping over the years, to the XXXX, then XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and this month the XXXX, I received my check. It is supposed to be here on the XXXX. I am a XXXX that ca n't pay bills on time because if this corrupt companies actions. Contact with their customer no-service Dept., over the years, has been fruitless.

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar Mortgage- Loan # XXXX I ) My account representative is n't very reachable. I have called and emailed several times without receiving a timely response. II ) I have been asking to fill out the mortgage application two times and there is n't a clear log of the information that I sent in. III ) The review process is n't complete and the list of open items keeps on changing from week to week. I ca n't get a final list of missing documents. a. I was told on XXXX XXXX that they need XXXX more documents to complete the loan process I sent them in on the same day. b. On XXXX XXXX - I was told that the reviewers are still missing XXXX difference documents - I emailed the information on XX/XX/XXXX. The review process still wasnt final c. On XX/XX/XXXX I received another request for XXXX different documents IV ) My reinstatement loan balance keeps on changing because of the delays above. I 'm seeing more legal fees assess to the account V ) While I 'm applying for a loan modification a Sheriff was sent to the property to give my tenant 20 days to vacate the property on XX/XX/2015 The load modification is being delayed while the lawyers are pushing forward the foreclose process.

Consumer Complaint: Please help me as a loan servicer, Nationstar Mortgage, has erroneously reported foreclosure debt forgiveness income to the IRS on a XXXX, and they seem unable to fix it! I did not have any debt or a foreclosure with Nationstar! Here is some history : I executed a deed-in-lieu with XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX. In XXXX XXXX I was notified that they had transferred my " loan '' to another servicer, XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). This was obviously a mistake as XXXX owned the property at this point. It took most of XX/XX/XXXX to work with SLS management to get my account closed, and I filed a complaint with CFPB ( Case number XXXX ). Unfortunately, in XXXX XXXX XXXX transferred my " account '' to yet another servicer, Nationstar, even though my account was closed! I was furious, but XXXX said there was no way to stop the data transfer. XXXX assured me Nationstar would clear up the matter quickly as it was obvious I did not actually owe debt. Then in XXXX XXXX I received a XXXX for " debt forgiveness '' from XXXX, as they had closed my account as a foreclosure! ( I had of course already received a XXXX from XXXX for tax year XXXX. ) Over the next several months I worked with XXXX managers to get the XXXX rescinded from the IRS, get the duplicate foreclosure and delinquent payment reporting off my credit report, and worked with Nationstar to get my account closed. All these issues take so long because every time I call these companies I have to wait 30-60 minutes on hold before I get through, and when I do, most of the time the customer service rep does n't know what to do, transfers me to the wrong department, or tells me they ca n't help. Any investigation into my documents requires I engage some " research department '' whom I can not contact directly for status. Customer service reps often misinterpret the research dept 's status, telling me the issue is resolved when it is not. Finally, Nationstar closed my account around XXXX XXXX. My Current Situation : In XXXX XXXX, I received another XXXX for " debt forgiveness '' from Nationstar! This is because, when they finally closed my account, they documented it in their computer system as a " foreclosure '' which automatically generates a XXXX Over two months and 9 or 10 phone calls later, I have still not gotten Nationstar to rescind the XXXX. I have been given the name of a manager who apparently says he is going to work the issue with " the corporate office '', however I can not contact him directly. I am getting really worried as I have to file my taxes in a few weeks and I can not do so with {$150000.00} of false " income '' being reported to the IRS. I am very concerned as my financial information and credit reputation are in the hands of dysfunctional companies staffed with incompetent people whose slightest error can cause me hundreds of hours of work. I am very concerned that Nationstar will not rescind the XXXX in time for me to file my taxes. I am very concerned that somehow, though my account is closed, my information will be transferred to another servicer who will start trying to bill me for a property I do not own. Attached is documentation of this issue, from the original DIL with XXXX XXXX XXXX, through XXXX, to Nationstar. Please warn all XXXX of these institutions not to transfer my closed accounts. This last bout with Nationstar has caused me a great deal of stress. Please help me with the following : - Get Nationstar to rescind the erroneous XXXX AS SOON AS POSSIBLE ( 2 weeks or less ). - Get Nationstar to guarantee they will not transfer my information to another lender. Would rather they delete me from their system. Thank you. I believed filing a CFPB complaint helped me with SLS and I 'm glad to have this recourse available. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX with Nationstar on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX @ XXXX called to informed me AGAIN my loan modification had a problem, he noted that it was an accounting error. The papers were re signed on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX for the XXXX time. He noted they would offer {$300.00} cash gift card. I received a letter tape to my door offering {$150.00} stating my MOD loan was rejected. My loan modification has been booked several times once in XXXX and XXXX now they 're saying it has been rejected. Please see previous compliant on case # CFPBXXXXXXXX On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX Nationstar deducted out of my checking account than what is agreed according to my Modification. My agreed amount is XXXX, they deducted {$990.00}. Solution provide correct documentation my loan should also remain as per noted on Loan Modification documents, refund the amount they taken out of my account unauthorized.

Consumer Complaint: I schedule my mortgage payment, using the mortgage company 's website, each month, to be submitted on the XXXX. When I scheduled my XX/XX/XXXX payment, I did not receive a confirmation email. I waited to receive it, but I never did. Since I was going out of the country for XXXX, I re-scheduled the payment and received my confirmation email. On or around XX/XX/XXXX, I received notification from my bank that my mortgage payment had bounced. When I looked into it, I saw that both payments had been submitted ; 1 cleared and the other did n't. I could not reach the mortgage company by phone, and since I was leaving on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, I contacted my bank ; they saw the duplicate payment and reversed it. The mortgage company tried to push it through again, and once again, my bank reversed it. I did not receive any notification from Nationstar regarding this transaction,. I scheduled my XXXX XXXX payment and received a confirmation email. I did not receive anything from Nationstar until I received my XX/XX/XXXX statement, showing that my XX/XX/XXXX payment was due. I contacted them by phone and asked why they had not presented the payment to my bank. I was transferred from person to person to person, and finally the collection department, who was rude and belligerent. They would not listen or understand that my XX/XX/XXXX payment and my XX/XX/XXXX payments were made on time. They kept trying to make me pay extra fees and said my next 6 payments needed to be mailed in, and certified. I explained that the website caused the error, but they would not listen and would not use common sense to see the problem. To date, they have never sent me anything rejecting the XX/XX/XXXX payment. They keep saying I put a stop payment on the XX/XX/XXXX payment, but my bank can clearly show that I did not. I have emailed them over and over trying to get this issue resolved and trying to make all of my payments on time. My bank records will show that I have the money in my bank every month for the full amount due. I am not trying to get out of paying ; not trying to pay late and not trying to qualify for any programs. I simply want the error recognized ; the fees reversed ; the block on my online payments removed, my credit record corrected to show no late payments ; an apology ; and I am now asked for compensation for the harassment I have endured. I have asked them to communicate by email, so we have a written record of all correspondence, but they call my cell phone relentlessly. They are causing me problems to my health. I battled XXXX XXXX all of XXXX and my doctors tell me that I need NO XXXX to remain XXXX free. I have asked them to have their legal department contact me and they refuse. I spoke with XXXX person from Texas back in XXXX ( I believe ) and she said she would get everything handled, but then stopped taking my calls. Over and over, their employees have told me one thing, then never followed through. I am beyond frustrated. I have been in my home over 17 years and never experienced anything like this. I am a XXXX in Georgia, and if this were one of my XXXX, I would have looked into the circumstances, seen the error, corrected it and collected the payment. I do n't know what their motivation is for being so difficult to deal with. I am sure they had the duty to notify me in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX if there was a problem.

Consumer Complaint: My loan was transferred to Nationstar mortgage from XXXX XXXX XXXX. When an escrow analysis was completed, I was notified I needed to have an additional months worth of cushion in my escrow account which increased my monthly mortgage payment. I tried contacting Nationstar to request the extra month be waved since my loan was a transfer and I had no choice in the matter, so I felt I should be able to keep the same cushion in my escrow account as my previous mortgage company. I attempted to contact customer service about 5 times and was disconnected before being able to speak to a person directly. I wrote an email to Nationstar through their email portal and received no response after about 2 weeks.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, Back in XX/XX/XXXX, my credit card debt turned on me. They raised the interest rates and payments to strangling levels over nite due to debt to income ratio and refused to lighten up even a little. To get out of the 20 % + interest rates, I decided to put a Mortgage on some rental property I owned free and clear to pay off the credit cards and also pay off some Industrial property I was buying rent to own to start a car auction. I stopped in a nice looking building, a Mortgage Company I thought was part of XXXX, but it was XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX. I told him about the crazy interest rates on my cards and the Industrial Property I wanted to pay off with a Mortgage on my free & clear rental property. He said I could refinance my home, take cash out to pay credit cards and have a lower house payment and Mortgage the rental property to buy the Industrial Property and pay more credit cards. Self employed, I only made {$6500.00} the previous year but I had over a XXXX credit score cause I always paid my bills, The Broker said, " We have to go stated income and that is gona cost you a couple thousand dollars ''. It sounded a little odd but I thought I found the relief I needed. He wanted his appraisers to appraise my property 's even though I had one done on my house not long ago. He completed the application for the rental and gave me a number to call, XXXX in XXXX, to complete the application on the phone. It was all so easy and fast. It 's XXXX, the XXXX housepayment is due XXXX XXXX, {$410.00}. XXXX XXXX statement the payment rose {$70.00}. That was not to happen for XXXX years. Wondering what I got myself into, I drove to the nice looking Mortgage XXXX and it was abandon, completely empty and for rent. I called XXXX and got no answers. So I paid the {$480.00} payment for XXXX years and out the blue, my house payment raises to {$1200.00}. XXXX XXXX XXXX has it now. It is XX/XX/XXXX, I just lost my job a week earlier and out the blue, my house payment triples. I ca n't afford that, I call XXXX, they say that 's my new payment, there is nothing they can do. The Broker told me it might go up {$100.00} or it might go down, it depends on the interest rates in XXXX years. {$1200.00} payment took me totally by surprise and I called HOPE in XXXX, XXXX and they said " Since your current on your Mortgage, we ca n't help you. You have to stop making your payments so you qualify for XXXX of the programs ''. OK, I could n't afford them anyway, what a relief but I had a weird, sick feeling not making my house payment which is XXXX my income of XXXX years earlier. A couple months of horrible, crazy paper chase, XXXX denies the HOPE Mod and pursues foreclosure. HOPE told me I qualified for the mod and to write to the Attorney General. Meantime, I 'm looking for help, find Mortgage Mediators in XXXX and they tell me you get what you pay for, HOPE being free, they charged me {$2000.00} to get a mod, which was my second Mod denial from XXXX. Lawyer after Lawyer, thousands of dollars, all mods getting denied, XXXX presents a deal I could do, but they gave me a fictitious address in XXXX and sent it there and by the time I got it, XXXX sold the servicing to XXXX who gave me a {$2100.00} payment. XXXX denied a couple mods and sold the servicing to XXXX in the middle of the XXXX mod. Under XXXX 's watch, I had a mod denial then denial to let me apply for a mod. So I had to file bankruptcy XXXX times since XX/XX/XXXX to save my home of XXXX years from XXXX 's Sales, but the third bankruptcy, recommended by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, did not stop the sale and Bank of New York Mellon, the Plaintiff, bought my house. I found my original Mortgage a XXXX weeks ago, " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' from XXXX is my lender, with XXXX getting the payments. I was so proud tohave a XXXX Mortgage those XXXX fe

Consumer Complaint: In order to try to save on interest, I have been making mortgage payments well in advance of the monthly due date, sometimes more than XXXX weeks in advance, with the assumption that it would be credited upon receipt to my account/ principle owed. With each payment I have also included an additional amount of $ 20- {$50.00} above the regular monthly payment amount. Upon receipt of each payment, my mortgage company, Nationstar Mortgage, has only credited my account and applied to principle the additional $ 20- {$50.00} on the receipt date. They waited however, until the payment due date to credit the rest of the payment -- which comprises the actual payment due -- for each and every month. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe this practice is illegal. According to the law, mortgage payments are to be credited to the account UPON RECEIPT.
