Consumer Complaint: After XXXX XXXX XXXX transferred my loan to NationStar Mortgage, which by the way I had no say, nor I agreed to have my loan transferred, NationStar Mortgage is charging me a {$10.00} processing fee for making my payment on line after the XXXX of XXXX, which was a Sunday, so I made the payment on the XXXX of XXXX, I called Nationstar Mortage to ask about the " processing '' fee, and for what, since no one else charges a processing fee when a payment is made on line, I was told that is because they have to process that payment through a third party, to what I replied, that if they are not well equipped and do n't have the systems to process payments, then they should not be in the " mortgage '' business, because not only that fee was NOT properly disclosed on my statement, nor it was disclosed anywhere on the initial letter I received once they took over my mortgage, I requested a fee schedule showing and disclosing the fee and the description, and I was told that they do n't give that to anyone, as they do n't have access to that information, because that is their third party processor. If Nationstar Mortgage is NOT a bank, what are they?. If Nationstar does have the systems to properly withdraw money from my bank for my mortgage, then they should not be in the mortgage business. XX/XX/XXXX was the first month I had to make a payment, and that was another phone call, because the information I was supposed to get, I did not received, because they were late in sending me the statement, so I have to pay for their mediocrity and inefficient way of running their business. I want a schedule fee and I want full disclosure of why I am responsible for them using a third party service.

Consumer Complaint: I called in my monthly payment and went through the menu to start up monthly withdrawls from my account. I got through it and listed the next payment was to come out on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX days later they took another payment (unauthorized) from my account and bounced my checking account by $XXXX. I've called and talked to them about it, sent back statements show that XXXX payments were taken out. Now they're telling me that I called in an emergency payment, which I didn't do, and are now trying to lie and say that I made a payment online, which I have never done, never even set up an online account. This company wrongly took money from us, screwed our account so badly that we had to cancel a mini vacation we had planned to take with our children bc of all the missing money and they keep floundering in their attempts to tell me that I made XXXX payments in one month of my own free will, which is so stupid it's almost laughable. On top of that, they tell me that the automated payments that I set up were not in place so while I was thinking that the payments were coming out, I'd be getting late charges added to my account, which is how this company operates anyway. This isn't the XXXX time that they've messed with our lives. Last year I got a foreclosure notice saying that I missed XXXX payments which was untrue, but when I called the XXXX number to find out what exactly was going on, they told me that every payment was accounted for and that they had no idea why I was receiving foreclosure notices. But they charged me late payments and told me that they had only recently "found" my payments within their company. That makes everything their fault but I had no recourse to try to fight this. I'm told that I own $XXXX in late fees for XXXX late payments, which were not late. They've shot our credit w their bogus XXXX late payments and so now we can't refinance w another company and get out from under these thieves. They've been known to not process a payment, which means that they claim late fees for months before you even know it. This happened to us a few years ago. We've lost XXXX to this company when an honest agreement was reached by XXXX us, but honest money isn't good enough for them. They want to suck late fees and anything else they can get out of you. They need shut down.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2015, I was notified from my XXXX mortgage company, that my loan had been sold prior to my XXXX payment due date (XX/XX/2015). However, I had already mailed in my payment to the original lender on XX/XX/XXXX. The original lender sent my payment to the new lender and it delivered via XXXX on Thursday XX/XX/2015 As of XX/XX/2015, the check was not presented to my financial institution for payment and I still have not received notice from the new lender stating they now own my mortgage and/or where to send future payments too. After looking up this new lender I found bad reviews of this company reporting late payments on customer accounts when the payments were provided before or on due date. I have not received any feedback from this lender after calling XXXX to get information about a new account number and where to send future payments. When I called I was told the loan was not in their system yet and it will take a day or 2. However I should receive a letter within 15 days of the loan transfer. It has been more than 15 days and I received no notification from the new lender.

Consumer Complaint: Last year our mortgage company sold us to Nationstar mortgage company. It has been a nightmare ever since. Even though my husband makes the payments to this company, we don't understand why they are not putting it towards our account. Now a few months ago my husband had XXXX so that left him without work or being able to pay to the mortgage company. We're still waiting for him to get on XXXX He contacted Nationstar about this, and I'm not sure who he talked to but they said he was protected with the insurance to cover these type of things. Then a month later they tell him he's not eligible. Since XX/XX/2014 all this company has been doing is hassling us and throwing "foreclosure" in our face. We sent them checks faithfully like I said until 2 months ago when hardship fell with my husband. But they have been threatening foreclosure even before this. I went to their website and it just appalls me the complaints people have with this company and they still remain operational. There is something very wrong with this picture and someone needs to do a thorough investigation on them. When there is this many complaints on one website that should be a red flag even for the Better Business Bureau. It's not like we're trying to get out of paying our mortgage. We will pay it. But we have to wait until the money starts flowing again. And this is the only company we're having problems with. But I feel threatening your customers every 5 minutes and calling XXXX times a day is not a solution. They know our situation. But when you call them back no one seems to know anything and you get a person from another country just telling you to send money. The most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with in my life. If things can't be taken care of this way, I guess I will have to look into a lawyer because I feel companies like this need to be stopped. They're not here to help anyone. I feel that they want people to lose their homes because they know they'll make more money that way. Disgusting! And I know we're not the only ones that feel this way about this company. My husband and I are just totally fed up and this is one other problem he doesn't need on his plate at this time.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was transferred from XXXX to Nationstar on XX/XX/2015. XXXX informed me of this via a letter sent on XX/XX/XXXX. As my next mortgage payment due date approached (XX/XX/XXXX) I received no correspondence from the new mortgage company....not a welcoming letter, statement, or a bill with which to pay the mortgage. I desperation, I tried to call them, but all you can contact are automated menus, not a person to help with a personal problem. I went to their web site, and again in desperation followed the instructions for making an online payment. It worked! But what it didn't make clear is that I had set up an automated account that would automatically pay my next mortgage payment. So when the next payment was due (XX/XX/XXXX) I made another payment, not realizing that in actuality I was making XXXX payments. It cleaned out my checking account and checks for XXXX other bills that I wrote bounced giving me fees of $XXXX. I have had an extremely difficult time contacting them to resolve this issue. I was only able to speak to a live representative by calling the number they advertise for refinancing mortgages, not their customer service number. Anyway, I believe the unprofessional way in which they handled the transfer of my mortgage has led to this financial mess for me

Issue: Loan servicing, payments, escrow account

Subissue:

Consumer Complaint: Transaction HistoryI have an FHA loan, that was originated by XXXX XXXX XXXX, with an escrow account, which was established during the proceedings of the loan. The escrow was a requirement for disbursement of the loan. A schedule of financial disbursement from the escrow account was also within the loans associated paperwork. The loan was finalized on XX/XX/XXXX. My loan was then sold to Nationstar Mortgage and my first payment to Nationstar was recorded as XX/XX/XXXX. The next scheduled disbursement from my escrow to my insurance provider was to take place XX/XX/XXXX. The IssueThe funds allotted within my escrow for my home owners insurance/hazard insurance where never disbursed to the agency on the scheduled date. Nationstar continued to collect escrow payments for the months of XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX with out disbursing the funds to my insurance provider. When my insurance was canceled due to " Lack of payment '' in XX/XX/XXXX Nationstar then within that same month purchased Force-Lender insurance through XXXX that same month. I lost my homeowners insurance policy and had to pay a considerably higher premium for the Forced-Lender insurance provided by XXXX. Other FactorsI thought that under the Real Estate Settlement Act - Section 6 it was the responsibility of the mortgagor to distribute funds to the insurance agency in a timely manner in order to retrain the current policy. I can also do not understand how my mortgagor after not paying the insurance agency from my escrow could justify purchasing an insurance policy with such a substantially higher premium that exceeds that of any major provider. More especially so given the fact that Nationstars affiliated and/or subsidiary organization XXXX XXXX XXXX allegedly receives incentives from XXXX for placing borrowers on there insurance policies.
