Consumer Complaint: I bought my condo in 2007 at the height of the market. At the time, the builder was offering a special through their preferred lender XXXX Loans. I believe that I was a victim of fraudulent and deceptive practices because at the time I was advised to take out a first and second loan ( XXXX with a 10 % down down payment ). XXXX was onsite at the builder and they disclosed the terms of the first mortgage which were very attractive at the time XXXX 5.5 % XXXX but I was told that their " printer was broken '' and they did not disclose the terms of the second loan, which were very unfair ( 9 % interest with a XXXX balloon ) and well above market stadards at the time. I belive that XXXX was predatory and intentionally withheld the information about the second mortgage. Since then, my XXXX loan was acquired by XXXX XXXX XXXX and then Nationstar. I have called many times and spent countless hours trying to resolve this loan. They blame XXXX and do not accept my assertion that by acquiring my loan they also acquired responsibility for XXXX 's fraudulent, unfair, and deceptive tactics. They refuse to help me unless I stop making payments and/or until the 15-year balloon is up and I ca n't pay off the loan. I have also tried to refinance the second loan, but the condo is still ( after almost 10 years XXXX too underwater. I have struggled and managed to maintain the loan, but with a 9 % interest rate I can not pay down the loan fast enough to make a dent in the principle and will be in major trouble when the balance is due at the 15-year mark. I do not anticipate having enough equity given the slow recovery of these condos which were all built in 2007 and have mostly been acquired at a much lower price than I through through foreclosures and short sales. Also, the builder and HOA are in litigation that inhibits sales and have been for years.

Consumer Complaint: My loan was recently purchased by Nationstar mortgage. My XXXX statement includes late fees of {$1200.00}. I am trying to dispute this amount. Nationstar claims that the fees transferred from the previous lender, however, I have disputed this as I have my payment history and had no late payments from XXXX mortgage either. XXXX claims the fees transferred from a previous lender. I am trying to refinance this mortgage and need to have these fees removed.

Consumer Complaint: I have been paying for 10 years interest only on a XXXX and XXXX loan. After a divorce I was able to purchase my current home, but was put into these interest only loans. After 10 years on paying, XXXX notes on time and never late...they XXXX have changed from interest only - principle and interest only. My XXXX loan is at a good interest 2.625% which I'm able to make along with the association fee. My XXXX is the problem at an 8.875% interest, was paying XXXX and has jumped to XXXX XXXX my payment effective XX/XX/XXXX. I cannot make this payment. I have tried to ask for help with my XXXX mortgage directly, but they will not help in re-financing the XXXX loan only. I don't qualify to re-fi the XXXX loans because I have no equity on my home. I asked the XXXX mortgage if they would consider a principle reduction or forgiveness and they said NO. For the past 10 years I have paid them responsibly and never been late or ever missed a payment, and now they will not help in any way, shape, or form. I'm dis-trout in considering short sale and losing my home and having to walk away with nothing. More so my credit which I have worked my entire life in maintaining an excellent credit and is effecting me to know that my credit will be damaged if I proceed with the short sale. I have called and have exhausted all avenues to get someone to help me, but no one can. That is my current situation. Thank you very much for your attention to this matter!!

Consumer Complaint: I applied for assistance in saving my home on XXXX XXXX, 2015 by submitting a complete financial package to my servicer Nationstar. On XXXX XXXX, 2015 I was advised I was denied for a loan modification on XXXX XXXX, 2015. I have been trying to get a copy of my denial letter and NPV chart so my attorney can appeal the denial however Nationstar is evading giving me the information. They are stalling and making me request these items in writing and soon my ability to appeal my denial will be over because they have stalled now XXXX days and I only have XXXX days to appeal. I have been told this is a common tactic used by Nationstar to stall after denial in order to evade an appeal. They finally sent my attorney the denial letter by fax on XXXX XXXX, 2015. But they purposely left out the NPV chart and said I have to request that in writing. Another stall tactic to burn more time with the goal of pushing me past the XXXX days period to appeal. I am now waiting XXXX days and still no NPV chart. Attached I have included my written requests required by Nationstar just to get a copy of my denial. I know there was an error in my last review. The reason they are telling me I was denied was due to " Negative disposable Income ''. I know this is not true. There is some sort of mistake with the information they have and the only way I can find out what information is wrong is if they give me my denial letter NPV chart in a timely manner. Please stop Nationstar from this practice of stalling and avoiding issuing a denial letter and NPV chart. It does n't seem right that they are now requiring people to request the NPV in writing and only issuing it to them after the time period to appeal has expired or almost about to expire. I am running out of time and Nationstar is purposely stalling so I can not appeal. This is wrong and I am sure they are doing this to many people.

Consumer Complaint: Since the transfer of my mortgage to Nationstar from my construction company 's mortgage company there have been an endless stream of problems. First off they messed up the Escrow account by not paying my property taxes and sent me a XXXX refund. This refund had to be repaid a few weeks later as it was identified it was sent in error and then the taxes were paid late. This then started ongoing Escrow re-calculation and payment problems that are still unresolved nearly a year later. Despite numerous lengthy phone calls to their Escrow Dept and promises that it would be resolved the problems continue. All of my payments are made on time but because of Nationstar 's inability to resolve the problems my monthly payments are held in suspense which then trigger daily " collection calls '', in some cases multiple calls each day, including weekends. I have spoken to multiple customer service agents that always state they can see the problem and will resolve it but to date this has never happened, usually with only part of the problem being fixed and a new problem surfacing. Additionally, Nationstar Escrow Dept did not pay my home insurance coverage upon renewal, resulting in the policy lapsing. Nationstar claim that the Escrow did not cover insurance which was not how it was originally setup and fortunately I was able to resolve this with the insurance company directly who reinstated the policy. 8 months later and there are still issues on the account. I am still receiving harassing phone calls daily from collection department agents and repeated threats to report me to the credit reporting agencies.

Consumer Complaint: Five years ago I lost my job and started having trouble keeping up with the mortgage payments. I asked Nation Star, the lender, for any help or what steps I could take. They basically told me there was nothing they could do. A friend of mine suggested re-modification. After two years of going back and forth with Nation Star they finally approved it. It was only {$50.00} less than the original, which when you do not have a job that is no help at all. At this point my savings account was drained and I could no longer keep up on the payments. I ended up moving to XXXX to be with my mom and dad so I would not be homeless. I again tried to do the right thing and called Nation Star to ask again if there was anything else that could be done otherwise I was moving and had to let the house go. I even asked if I could do a deed in lui of foreclosure. They were once again, no help at all. Now it has been 3 years since I have not made a payment and the house is still not foreclosed which is making it impossible for me to move forward with my life and get into another home. I just want them to foreclose so I can start fresh.
