Consumer Complaint: I have contacted Nationstar mortgage repeatedly regarding getting rid of my PMI, seeing as how the property meets the criteria. They informed me that I had two 30 day lates in the last year which I did not. I had one which was not late. I paid the mortgage on time but apparently there was a change with the escrow account that I did not receive any notice for. I am trying to contest that, but they refuse to call me back. I spoke to a supervisor named XXXX XXXX initially, and have left 3 messages for him to discuss taking off that late payment due to escrow discrepancy and going forward with my PMI removal. my first phone call regarding this matter was XXXX XXXX, XXXX no one ever contacted me about initial PMI request, which is why I asked for a supervisor and got XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX who now refuses to return my calls regarding this matter. And even if they do n't remove the one late payment, that should n't have anything to do with removing my PMI. this is just a means to get more money by continuing to make me pay PMI when the property meets the qualifications for removal. Very poor customer service by not returning my phone calls.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage company approached me about refinancing my home loan for Texas property. We went through the entire process of assembling the paperwork, appraisal XXXX a least XXXX times the value of the loan ), credit research XXXX excellent credit ), perfect payment history on the existing loan, etc. The property had to be considered investment property because, though I 've owned it since XX/XX/XXXX lived there until XX/XX/XXXX still have utilities in my name, my family still lives there and it 's the only property I own, I live XXXX miles away managing multi-family property owned by an family LLC. They said I would have to give up my homestead exemption, which I reluctantly did since the lower payments would enable me to pay the higher taxes. No sooner had I done that when they said I could n't get the loan refinanced because I did n't have a homestead exemption on the property XXXX miles away! They said my options were : 1 ) To change all my driver 's license and other records back to my home address ( which would be lying and virtually impossible to do XXXX ; 2 ) declare the property as a second home and since no one can live there but me, kick my family out on the street ; or 3 ) have the multi-family residence that has multiple managers of the LLC deeded to me alone and get homestead exemption there. I DO understand the part about giving up the homestead exemption on the loan property ; but I do NOT understand why they would care about my having a homestead exemption on any other property that is not involved in the loan.

Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to do a short sale for almost a year. The bank seems to think that I can afford the mortgage and they keep forcing me into a modification. I am desperate as I can not afford the mortgage, the bank is being unreasonable and I have had several offers on the property for the current market value, but the bank is trying their hardest to set me and my family up for failure. they are not doing what the government says the lender should to provide alternatives to me as a homeowner. Now they are talking about foreclosing if I do not sign off on a modification. I thought that the bank was supposed to assist me with foreclosure alternatives? If so, they are failing miserably.

Consumer Complaint: We held a mortgage in good standing with XXXX XXXX Mortgage for over 12 years. In the fall of 2014, they sold our mortgage to Nationstar Mortgage. The transfer was rough on the Nationstar side ( no communication and lack of reps that could see the transferred loan in their system ) but we did n't miss a single payment. 6 months after buying our loan, Nationstar is advising we have negative escrow and want a {$5800.00} check now or a {$470.00} increase to our monthly mortgage payment for the next year. Problem is that we never had an escrow account with either XXXX XXXX or a new one with Nationstar. After sending it to their escrow research department XXXX times ( the first time the rep said he would log it but did n't so their records only show XXXX attempts ), we get the same form letter with the same demands every time. Our choice now is to damage our credit or pay almost {$500.00} a month extra in mortgage for a debt that XXXX XXXX added to the end of our loan period. Additionally, our mortgage was an ARM that could only be adjusted during the first XXXX quarters of the loan. That time limit has come and gone under the XXXX XXXX term. Now Nationstar feels they have the right to adjust the rate every 6 months over the remaining life of the loan which was never the terms of the original mortgage. How is our mortgage allowed to be sold and the new mortgage lender not follow the terms of the original mortgage? We have not entered into any subsequent or amended agreement with Nationstar and had no say in the matter when they purchased our loan from XXXX XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: My wife and I received a mailing from the bank that services our mortgage ( Nationstar ). The letter informed us that our modified mortgage would be ending, and that I needed to refinance to lock in a low interest rate. When I called Nationstar, I spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX, Nationstar Mortgage, ( XXXX ) XXXX, XXXXXXXXXXXX. I told him that our modification was for " the life of the loan ''. XXXX told me that all the modified loans were for a short period of time, and would end, and that the interest rate was scheduled to increase 1 % each of the next 3 years for a total of 3 %. He further stated, that this would bring our rate from 2.65 % to 5.65 %, raising our payment {$200.00} by the third year. XXXX stated that XXXX did not want this increase to put the customer back in the same position of not being able to pay their mortgage, so they were offering this refinance option for a limited time. XXXX said they could lock us in at 4.75 %, and push our mortgage out to 30 years again. We have our signed modification that states the terms as follows : 2.65 % for the first 5 years, 3.65 % for the sixth year, and then 4 % for years XXXX to the end of the loan. It also states that we will receive {$1000.00} a year for the first five years, for a total of {$5000.00}, towards the principle ( If payments are made on time, which they have been ) XXXX told me we would not receive this {$5000.00} now, and that it would pay for the closing costs on the refinance, but we would be able to skip a monthly payment. XXXX said we had to lock in before XXXX XXXX, 2015, even though we 're only in the fourth year of our modification. At the time I spoke with XXXX, I did not have my documents on hand, and I became concerned, and had him send me the papers for the refinance. Needless to say, I was not happy with the prospect of my mortgage starting all over again at 30 years. After receiving the documents from XXXX at Nationstar, I was able to locate the paperwork for our modification. I brought everything to a Reputable mortgage professional for his advice. He asked if he could call XXXX, and when he did, he let XXXX know that we were there, and if he could put him on speaker phone. He questioned XXXX on why he was trying to get us to refinance from the terms we had, to a mortgage that would put us in a worse position. He explained the terms of our modification to XXXX. XXXX became very defensive, agitated, and at times angry. He explained he does n't get to see the terms of an individual 's mortgage. He was questioned on how he could possibly give advice to people and try to get them to refinance, if he does n't even know what their exiting terms are. I believe Nationstar calls people, " fishing '' for those that do not know or completely understand what they currently have, get scared, and refinance into a mortgage that is clearly NOT in their best interest. At the very least, I believe this is unethical, sounds illegal, and is definitely predatory. It 's shameful to know that the XXXX does business with, is trying to deceive it 's customers, and rip them off, all the while claiming that they are trying to help. ( *By the way, my wife was quite upset that they ran her credit without her permission ).

Consumer Complaint: On or about,XX/XX/XXXX, My husband and I, bought our first and only home through XXXX XXXX Mortgage XXXX XXXX , Ks . With interest rate of 9.4 %, 30 year loan, last payment to be, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Amount financed {$40000.00}. Then on or about XXXX to XXXX, XXXX XXXX Mortgage took over our loan. Beginning balance of {$41000.00}, interest rate 9.4 %. Then on or about, XXXX to XXXX, XXXX Mortgage took over our loan. At this time I believe the loan was modified and interest brought down to 8.5 %. Then on or about, XXXX, Aurora Loan Services Inc. took over our home loan. During the time with Aurora the loan was modified to Interest rate of 6.0 %. Then on or about, XXXX to XXXX, XXXX loans took over our loan. With interest rate remaining at 6.0 % as of XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. Balance of {$37000.00}. Then on or about, in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX took over our loan, principal balance, {$40000.00}, interest rate 6.0 %. Then on or about XXXX, to present, NationStar mortgage took over our loan. With interest rate remaining 6.0 % and principal balance of {$32000.00}. I have made attempts at investigating with, XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and Nationstar, asking for explanations of how our loan beginning in XXXX to currently XXXX, ( which is approximately 23 years ), could have a balance of {$32000.00}. Meaning we have only paid {$8100.00} in 23 years? But no one is willing or able to investigate our loan thoroughly for accuracy of our payments and credit for those payments. Unfortunately, we were ignorant to believe that banks do n't make mistakes, and we should have balanced our loan payments like we balance our check book. Although, we may have had some life events that caused our less than perfect credit, this loan still makes no sense because I am certain that had we only paid {$8100.00} to our principal balance in 23 Years, we would not still have our home. We are current on our payments as well.

Consumer Complaint: Our client XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX applied for a short sale through Nationstar in XXXX of 2014. We have had XXXX offers to present to them since the beginning. Instead of reviewing and submitting offers to the investor they continuously put the home on an Auction website called XXXX to solicit for other offers. This is a scam for Nationstar to continue to milk the servicing of this loan and eventually foreclose. They have not received any better or higher offers and they have scared away every buyer we have had by asking them to pay the full offered price plus 5 % on top for a service no one wants to use. Why would a Buyer we have already procured go and bid on a home and pay more for the house? Whats ends up happening is they offer less to make up the difference in the cost. In addition XXXX sets the opening bids low and congratulatesBuyers when they " win '' the Auction. Then the bank turns around and tell us the bid was too low and the investor rejected the offer. We asked that they stop this useless practice and look at the offer at hand, they refuse. They have been sued in the past by other parties because of their fraudulent practices and we are asking that you reach out to them and request they take this matter very seriously. They are wasting the sellers time, every buyer who has come along, our time and the time if their investor. Thank you for your assistance!

Consumer Complaint: My wife and I apparently ( according the Nationstar Mortgage ) in 2012, took care of that issue. We received a letter stating that we owed {$1100.00} in late fee, I contacted Nationstar they confirmed the amount and that i needed to pay. After an hour on hold / transfers i choose to speak to an agent in the XXXX ( their call center is in the XXXX the person would not tell me even when asked directly ) After speaking to someone in XXXX, she said, " I reviewed your account and those fees were deferred '' so the first XXXX people for Nationstar would have gladly taken my money that I DID NOT OWE. Lesson - DO N'T TRUST NATIONSTAR, keep ever record I 'm currently hold in get it documented!

Consumer Complaint: We are in foreclosure with Nationstar/XXXX. We have been in a lawsuit against them for bank fraud that started with XXXX. But they have been ignoring the lawsuit and adding more and more charges including their lawyers fees on us. Even though the banks broke the law several times. They are ready to auction our home off with no remorse for their braking the law. Our refinance was a highly predatory XXXX where the XXXX banker did paper shifting and filed the loan with only one name on it instead of both of us. Also lying about the terms of the loan. Sneaking into it a only interest clause. Then XXXX took over. Our mortgage was so high, it was difficult so we asked for help and was refused. But the bank would call when we were late but would never talk to the wife. And would not explain why. Finally a man from XXXX started to work with ( husband ). The bank never called again. this man convinced him he would have a new mortgage soon and to just wait. But instead we had a note put on the door that they were selling the house. We found out that someone had gone into the XXXX call log and changed our phone # to an old XXXX from before we lived in this county. That way the bank personnel could n't do their job and get a hold of us. We have been waiting for them to respond to a lawsuit but instead they are not responding. They are just going to again put our house up for sale. Even our lawyer has nothing to say. Our XXXX lawyer did the discovery and found a great deal of bank fraud.
