Consumer Complaint: I have a condo mortgage payment with Nationstar mortgage company. Nationstar mortgage has placed flood insurance into the escrow payments on my current mortgage payments. The flood insurance that they charged me for is for the entire building, not just my condo, which increased my monthly payments by {$620.00}. Flood insurance is paid by the condo association of my building and was paid in full in XXXX 2015 for the year. Nationstar collected money from me for this payment for the flood insurance for the entire building even though it was already paid in full. I make the monthly mortgage payments each month, but due to Nationstar 's inaccurate billing they are saying that my account is delinquent, when in fact it has been overpaid.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2007, we were duped by B of A on the terms of a XXXX mortgage, which they " converted '' to a HELOC, effectively raising our mortgage rate by XXXX 20 %. At this point, XXXX effectually made our loan a " credit '', or " unsecured debt ''. The payment amount was unaffordable. We tried to obtain assistance, even enlisting our local Housing Assistance office. XXXX process, including threats of foreclosure and harassing us and our children at our residence, forced us into declaring a Ch. XXXX BK. Our court-approved repayment plan lists this B of A debt as unsecured debt, and it was discharged at the time of our successful completion of the repayment plan to the trustee. Despite this, XXXX sold the discharged debt to a " debt collection '' mortgage company, who sold it to another, who sold it to another, who sold it to yet another. We contacted our XXXX attorney via email ( prior to our discharge, when he was still bound by contract to act to protect us ), and he contacted the then-creditor who was harassing us. He informed us that they had stated that they had coded our discharge incorrectly and that they would rectify their error, so that our credit would not continue to be negatively affected. This did not happen, but by then our case was finished, and the BK lawyer stated that he would charge us his hourly fee, which we could not afford, to work for the correction he failed to ensure while we were retaining him. Since then, each ensuing company sent us monthly statements that were harassing in nature. Nationstar is the longest-standing, most intransigent of those who are causing us three years of ongoing financial and personal damages ( denial of credit, higher interest rates, and severely limited housing options, to name a few civil damages ). On top of this, we faced a XXXX in the midst of this situation. Notwithstanding, we paid off our Ch. XXXX plan and received our Federal Discharge of Bankruptcy. We have personally spoken to Nationstar 's representatives on no less than fifteen occasions, each of which has cost us upwards of three hours of time. We have been given a new name of the " Dedicated Loan Specialist '' to contact on EVERY statement we have received, but none has EVER remedied the error. We have WRITTEN, FAXED, and CALLED. We have been TRANSFERRED, REFERRED, and ADVISED on how to remedy our situation by providing our court documents, statements, and contact information. We can think of nothing left to do but the possibility of filing charges against our own lawyer AND Nationstar. We hope that this is not our only option. We have simply requested, and now would demand, that Nationstar relinquish its unfounded claim, and if necessary, instigate further actions against the seller of this unsecured, bankruptcy-discharged debt, and cease and desist its unethical harassment of us.

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar Mortgage company is the company that serviced our Mortgage since XXXX with an original loan amount of XXXX. This company used gross manipulation tactics, to get us to refinance and now are falling back on what was promised with regards to removal of the PMI from our loan. Calling, sending mailers and emailing again and again until we finally agreed to refinance in XXXX XXXX and at that time we were advised that we would receive a lower interest rate and could change the terms to payoff in 15 years so it was highly beneficial to complete the refinance. When going through the process we also discussed PMI and were advised that once the PMI dropped below 80 % of the original loan amount of XXXX we would no longer be responsible to pay that amount any longer and it would be removed from our payment amount. So we reached out to Nationstar as we are currently at XXXX and the 80 % valuation would be XXXX and we wanted to ensure that it would just auto remove. When contacting their Customer Service and PMI support we now are being advised that the amount is based on the Refinanced amount and that the new percent is 75 % of the loan amount at time of refinance for the PMI to be removed, which was in no way communicated to us. We would have not refinanced at all if there were any changes to the PMI as we were working hard to pay the balance down so that amount could come back to us and not continue to be removed. The representative said that this is because of XXXX and that the amounts are different now. This is wrong and we need help in getting resolution to this matter and ensuring that Nationstar can not continue to take advantage of customers this way. This is a lie and gross manipulation tactics and we need your help to resolve.

Consumer Complaint: About one year ago my mortgage company increased my payment by about {$280.00}. I was paying {$610.00} and have been paying {$890.00}. They claimed that my property taxes had increased and that was the reason for the payment increase. I went down to the tax accessor 's office and they said that my taxes had not increased, in addition my taxes are reduced even further because I am XXXX so I receive a tax reduction from the county which I complete that paperwork every year. In addition, my homeowners insurance had not increased, therefore my mortgage payment should not have increased. What they are doing is illegal and violates RESPA. They have failed to resolve this matter or give me a reasonable explanation why they are continuing to charge me this increased erroneous amount.

Consumer Complaint: Failure to remove Private Mortgage Insurance despite Auto-termination date. I have a great deal of communication from Nationstar that my Private Mortgage Insurance would auto-terminate- various dates have been provided and they continue to dispute and indicate my home has not reached the 78 % loan to value- they provided the dates for which that would happen. They repeatedly say I must get an appraisal through a Nationstar appointed appraiser and go through the motions of the " borrower request to remove PMI. '' I am only requesting it be removed per the auto-termination dates I have been provided- I will not pay for an appraisal for something that should have been removed from my account per their paperwork and the loan documents.. I have been dealing with this issue for over a year- and I receive different answers with each call. I spoke with 7 representatives & supervisors on XXXX continually getting the run around and being told " this is not the right department to handle your request. '' I was transferred over and over again. 2 hours on the phone on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX with no resolution- meaning I had to pay the full amount due by XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to avoid late fees and penalties. Consumer 's Desired Resolution : I want the PMI removed from the account per the effective date in writing of XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( preferably to the XXXX XXXX, XXXX date that is shown on the original loan documents of XXXX and as stated in various conversations with Nationstar, most recently on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX with an Escrow representative ). I request a refund of the PMI amount paid in past the auto-termination dates. A loan modification was completed in XXXX, however the documents do not contain anew PMI disclosure. This matter has been sent to the XXXX and after three months of back and forth the case has been closed with no resolution. The XXXX has provided the following response as of XXXX XXXX, XXXX : " Business Name : Nationstar Mortgage LLC You have indicated from your Customer Response that you were not satisfied with the Company Answer in your complaint case. Because of this, we have conducted a case review which includes all of the available documentation contained within the Original Complaint, the Company Answer and the Customer Response. Based on this review, we have determined that the company did not do all that it could have been reasonably been expected or been responsible to do to resolve the issue. This case is being closed and will be reflected in our files as Unresolved. '' Assistance would be greatly appreciated as I do not understand why I am subject to an appraisal that must be conducted by a Nationstar appointed appraiser if I am well beyond the auto-termination date reflected in the loan documents.

They are still collecting XXXX dollars every month knowing full that as per the Act they will have to refund. I took the matter to XXXX and they are not removing and say the principal balance to reach 78 % is XXXX XXXX, XXXX and when I reach the Principal balance of 78 % on XXXX of this year, XXXX, they will not remove even though I have reached the 78 % LTV one year before and they treat the earlier reaching as early removal and as borrower requested PMI removal at 80 %. Consumer Complaint: I have a 2nd mortgage with Nationstar Mortgage. My first was refinanced in 2014. I have been trying to refinance or modify this one for 2 years. Nationstar keeps telling me that the investor does n't participate in modifications and is n't willing to refinance. They refuse to help me or tell me who the investor is. Meanwhile, I have n't made a payment in 2 years and my credit is taking a hit every month. I 've been denied loans, credit, housing and jobs because of how this is showing up on my credit report. I 'd think the investor would like to get something rather than nothing. But, not one of the 4 people who have serviced my loan during this time has helped.
