Consumer Complaint: I closed on a home XXXX/XXXX/16 and Nationstar was my assigned mortgage company. I have received nothing but INCOMPETENT mortgage servicing of my loan since then ranging from mis-sending my mortgage payment twice, ignoring customer input on payment coupon twice, paying my homeowners insurance twice and recently misapplication of funds. I 'm tired of babysitting my mortgage company.

Consumer Complaint: Nationstar Mortgage purchased additional flood insurance for me, when they should n't have, this created an escrow account with a negative balance. I filed a complaint ( with you ) several months ago, and that It thought was resolved. I have received a letter from them that it was, however, I log on today to pay my account and it still says I owe {$34.00} in my escrow account. I spent 43 minutes on the phone with them being transferred 4 times, to be told by each person. " I no longer have an escrow account but I do owe the negative balance '' .... the last person I spoke with.. XXXX badge # XXXX said it was to have the escrow account opened and closed. I am shocked!!!! I told her " they opened the account and closed the account, why do I have to pay for that? '' She could n't answer me, she was going to transfer me again. I am exhausted with the amount of time i have spent on the phone with this company. Please HELP.

Consumer Complaint: I am reaching out to you because I can not afford to take legal action. I 'm hoping that you can help me resolve this matter that is in foreclosure status as I 'm a new father. I do n't want my family to lose our home. I have been faithfully paying our mortgage on time ever since we received our second chance which is a Loan modification approval on XXXX XXXX, XXXX from our original mortgage lender/servicer, XXXX XXXX XXXX. I completed my Making Home Affordable loan modification with XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX stating that my loan modification is now a permanent loan modification. I have sent my payment on time and have complied with all the terms of my permanent loan modification with XXXX XXXX XXXX, which is a fixed interest rate of 2 % and a payment of {$3200.00}. Then on XXXX XXXX, my account was sold or transferred to Nationstar. By law, All of my terms agreed upon with XXXX XXXX XXXX were supposed to remain the same after the transfer to Nationstar but Nationstar has changed my payment schedules and has put me on a foreclosure status because I continued to send them the same amount of {$3200.00} as per the fixed rate permanent loan modification agreed upon with XXXX XXXX XXXX. I do n't know what else to do but to file a complaint under your office and hope that I can get a resolution to the situation I am currently facing. All I want to do is for Nationstar to honor the permanent loan modification that I agreed upon with XXXX XXXX XXXX. Your response is greatly appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: My original mortgage was with XXXX. In XXXX 2016, I was informed that my mortgage would be serviced by Nationstar Mortgage as of XXXX/XXXX/2016. I received an escrow shortgage statement from XXXX in XXXX stating what I owed for the escrow account. If I paid the {$530.00} in full, my mortgage would only increase to {$1600.00}. I paid the shortage in full. In XXXX I get a mortgage statement from Nationstar stating my new mortgage will be XXXX starting XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX and they confirmed the receipt of the escrow payment and confirmed my monthly payment is indeed {$1600.00}. I was also told I would get a new statement from Nationstar ( which I never rec 'd ) showing {$1600.00}. I made my XXXX XXXX payment for {$1700.00}. Today ( XXXX XXXX ) I get another statement from Nationstar telling me my monthly payment is now {$1700.00} I called Nationstar and spoke with representative XXXX and later her manager, XXXX XXXX. XXXX states they do not on file that the escrow amount has been paid. I explained that a check was mailed on XXXX XXXX for {$530.00} and XXXX confirmed on XXXX/XXXX/2016 that the payment was rec 'd and credited as of XXXX XXXX, 2016. Nationstar is claiming until they do a full account analysis, my mortgage payment is {$1700.00}. I was never notified that payment was not rec 'd ( because it was ) or that my mortgage would be increased. XXXX from Nationstar states they will review my account and will contact me in 30 days ( end of XXXX ) of their finding. I informed Nationstar that all future mortgage payments will be {$1600.00} until they put in writing why I should pay more. I then called XXXX and spoke with same rep I spoke with on XXXX XXXX, 2016, XXXX XXXX and she confirmed again that the escrow payment was posted XXXX XXXX and my new mortgage should be {$1600.00}.

Consumer Complaint: We have been working, in good faith, with Nationstar/XXXX to sell our home as a short sale. It has major foundation damage. We have produced at least XXXX offers over the past several months. Nationstar/XXXX would not allow the property to sell for market value. During this phase of marketing, no one knew the full extent of the foundation damage. We had one offer for $ XXXX when Nationstar/XXXX would not reduce their price below $ XXXX. We had another offer for $ XXXX when Nationstar/XXXX would not reduce their price below $ XXXX There were multiple offers that led to those XXXX accepted offers. During those offers Nationstar/XXXX forced potential Buyers to obtain appraisals, and estimates for the repairs. The Buyer 's spent their funds obtaining the reports and Nationstar/XXXX. The appraisal came in at $ XXXX, as is. Eventually, a year later, Nationstar/XXXX acquiesced to suggestions to reduce the price. We received more offers. We had more multiple offers that led to an acceptable offer of $ XXXX. Nationstar/XXXX would only consider lowering their $ XXXX demand if the Buyer obtained another appraisal and an engineering report for the foundation damage. The appraisal came back at $ XXXX IF and AFTER the repairs were completed ( The appraiser said he had no way of estimating the repair due to its severity ) The appraiser also classified the property as uninhabitable. Estimates were obtained that ranged from $ XXXX to $ XXXX to bring the property back to an inhabitable status. In XX/XX/XXXX, Nationstar illegally filed a Notice of Default. As I understand the law the NOD must be accompanied by an affidavit. In this case, the affidavit stated Nationstar tried, and was not able to contact us. This is obviously a mistake or a fabrication. We have been in constant contact facilitating multiple short sale offers, constant request for updated bank accounts etc., plus we have numerous phone calls logged between us. In addition, the affidavit was signed and dated XX/XX/XXXX, the notice of default was dated and recorded XX/XX/XXXX. On top of being false, the affidavit is untimely. Recently Nationstar filed the NOD stating our home will be auctioned on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. This must be dual tracking. We have been negotiating more contracts over the past 2 weeks and Nationstar knows it. We have come to terms with one Buyer and have another in backup, for $ XXXX. Our Real estate agent claims Auction.com hijacked our XXXX XXXX Ads. They are offering our home for $ XXXX. In conclusion, the NOD/NTS should be rescinded or at the very least, the sale date should be postponed. Nationstar/XXXX should allow the sale to go through at the current $ XXXX all cash offer that 's on the table as we speak.

Consumer Complaint: I have recently accepted a trial mortgage modification with Nationstar Mortgage. They are a XXXX company, although they did not disclose that in the initial offer. The three month trial period is over and they have sent me the final documents to sign. The letter that accompanied the loan document offered an extension if necessary. I have made two attempts to request an extension due to business travel. They gave me a deadline of XXXX XXXX, 2016 and I will be away from XXXX - XXXX for business. I was unemployed for almost five years, working jobs that kept me below poverty level to get by ... it was so bad, I was on food stamps. In XXXX, I finally got a permanent job and now would like to get back on track with my payments. I need to focus on this business trip and keep this job. I also need to speak with a family friend who is an attorney who will review the document for me, without charge, but he is busy with court dates and it will take time to connect with him. When I called to request the extra time, I was spoken over, yelled at, and never given a straight answer as to whether or not I may have the extension I requested. The document is ambiguous and I need time to have it explained to me and understand fully what I am signing. I kept asking for a simple yes or no and the rep just kept talking over me, arguing with me, asking me why I need so much time. I need time to research what I am getting into and it is not unreasonable to request the extension, especially since they allude to it in the letter. The last two reps have been male and very aggressive. The conversations were recorded ( so they say ). It certainly does not make me feel confident about entering into a business transaction with them.

Consumer Complaint: My loan was transferred to Nations Star Mortgage from XXXX XXXX XXXX I believe in XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX was involved in a lot of predatory lending complaints and issues when it sold my 80 % loan to Nations Star Mortgage. I was told by various representatives when I call them over the phone in XXXX not to worry about a company called XXXX who supposedly bought the 20 % Loan from XXXX in XXXX, but in actuality, my XXXX loan was modified and approved through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I have written proof and the approved loan docs stating that the modification was approved and all documents were received by XXXX XXXX in XXXX and that the 20 % Loan was written off, and that I was no longer responsible for it. I still have XXXX documents from XXXX XXXX ( this mortgage lender is known for misconduct with their previous loans for the XXXX XXXX XXXX and is no longer in business ) stating that I was only responsible for the 80 % loan of $ XXXX. So from XXXX until present, I have been paying my mortgage on time to Nations Star Mortgage. From XXXX until XXXX, I have never been asked to pay this $ XXXX that XXXX XXXX XXXX is saying I owe all of a sudden, nor was aware that I was still responsible for this amount when I have a letter stating that amount was written off from XXXX in XXXX. So when I contacted nations star mortgage and made them aware that I have rented out the house in XXXX after I got married, I started to receive letters and notices of XXXX XXXX XXXX trying to foreclose on my rental property. I was shocked and confused to say the least. I have raised my family in that home since XXXX when I first bought that home, and was saving this home for my children and their children. When I called Nations Star various times to confirm or to see if this XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX reached out to them, they said that they have NOT and NOT TO WORRY ABOUT THEM, THAT THEY COULD NOT FORECLOSE ON MY PROPERTY! There were various times and I know that the calls were recorded and that there were documentations of my conversations, and now the second bank has foreclosed on the property, Nations Star mortgage is n't doing much to help me or try to give me more time to hire an attorney and get this figured out. I am 3 months behind on the mortgage because the tenants are n't paying me rent anymore, and are paying XXXX XXXX XXXX rent on a $ XXXX home and my tenants are under the impression that they are paying on a {$40.00} foreclosed lien on my property at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, GA XXXX. I was extremely shocked that this has happened and I really need some assistance with nations star mortgage.
