Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems are reporting inaccurate information on my credit report and it is hurting my score, not only that it is hurting my reputation with my employer and financial obligations. This item that is being reported shouldnt be as a payment was sent to the original creditor in XXXX of 2022 in the amount of {$3300.00}. The original creditor sent the payment back and refused to apply the moneys owed. I spoke with the GM of XXXX XXXX and was advised that they would revise the return of the payment and apply it to the balance owed. The money was sent from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX it was for rental assistance, in which the company was obligated to apply. I thought this issue was handled until I started to receive multiple calls and voicemails a day from National Credit. They had repeatedly contacted me more than 3 times a day and leaving voicemails each time, in which is a violation of my consumer rights. This matter needs to be handled immediately, as I am not able to find a house because this inaccurate information is reporting on my credit report. I am also unable to accept a promotion at my job, which would greatly help my financial status because this inaccurate information being reported. As a payment has already been sent to the original creditor. If this isnt resolved immediately I will seek and obtain legal representation, and take both National Credit Systems and XXXX XXXX to court.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: - In XX/XX/XXXX, I learned upon looking at my credit report that a company named XXXX XXXX XXXX had reported a collection account in my name for the amount of {$2200.00}. Since I didn't recall any outstanding debts, much less from this company, I disputed that with the credit Bureaus and they responded to my dispute saying that XXXX XXXX XXXX had validated the debt. - On XX/XX/XXXX. I sent a letter by certified mail to XXXX XXXX XXXX disputing the validity of the debt and asking for their proof that I own this debt and also their authority to try and collect this alleged debt. ( letter is attached ). I also made this a cease-and-desist request and requested that they remove this wrong information from my credit report unless it was 100 % verified. - On XX/XX/XXXX. I received an email from this company with a pdf file attached. ( both the email and file are attached here ). In this email, XXXX XXXX XXXX notifies me, for the first time, that a negative credit reporting action might be taken against me. After they have reported this item, without proof, for over 3 months. The pdf File shows an invoice that I have never received from an apartment complex and does not bear my signature. - On XX/XX/XXXX. I Sent a second letter by certified mail to XXXX XXXX XXXX, explaining how they were in violation of my rights and allowed them an additional 30 days to produce the proof I had requested on my previous correspondence. ( Please see attached letter ). Again, I requested for this wrong information to be removed from my credit reports. - On XX/XX/XXXX. I sent a third letter by certified mail to them. ( Please see attached letter ). In this letter, I stated once again how they failed to produce the appropriate proof that shows I'm liable for this alleged debt, as well as informing them what " Estoppel by Silence '' means and how refusing to respond to my requests must mean that they are in agreement with my statements. I allowed them an additional 15 days to resolve this matter, and I even mentioned my intentions to file this complaint if I did not receive absolute proof, or if they did not remove this false information from my credit reports. As of right now ( 30 days after the last letter ), XXXX XXXX XXXX has not provided any proof of my responsibility over this alleged debt. Neither have them responded to my last 2 correspondences in any way, shape or form. Therefore I am filing this formal complaint against them. This has been EXTREMELY damaging to my reputation and to my ability to acquire credit. I am a small business owner and the inability of securing a credit line has put tremendous amounts of financial strain on me and my family. I sincerely hope I can get this issue resolved through this formal complaint. All correspondence mentioned above are being attached with this complaint.
