Subissue: Attempted to collect wrong amount
Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems is attempting to collect on debt from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I had originally disputed the debt to XXXX as being invalid, and I was originally unaware of the debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX, but also maintain that debt is also invalid. The debt to XXXX is invalid because XXXX made an insurance payment to XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$1000.00} that was invalid for the following reasons : - XXXX XXXX XXXX charged me XXXX XXXX for renter 's insurance, despite me having my own insurance and notifying them of that fact. The total amount was {$75.00}. - XXXX XXXX XXXX charged me {$810.00} for early termination of my lease. However, I terminated the lease because they violated the lease agreement by failing to fix a broken gutter that was hanging dangerously close to the electrical lines after being notified of the damage. By violating the terms of the lease, I can not be charged a fee for moving out early. Additionally, the original lease agreement does not mention the {$810.00} fee. - XXXX XXXX XXXX charged an excessive amount for cleaning. {$60.00} to vacuum some pet hair, {$150.00} to mop floors, and {$120.00} to wipe down appliances. - The total charged by XXXX XXXX XXXX was {$1200.00}, of which XXXX paid {$1000.00}, despite me disputing the charges. The debt to XXXX XXXX XXXX, in the amount of {$230.00}, is invalid because it is the total fee minus the amount paid by XXXX. I have attempted to discuss the invalidity of the debt with National Credit Systems, but they have refused to look into the matter.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems , Inc., continues to send collections notices regarding a debt not owed. I spoke with their direct client, XXXX XXXX XXXX and I was told they would handle and remove this as a debt based on their ledger it was for carpet, etc. Because there was no debt owed. They sent a ledger for carpet replacement upon moving out of the unit and prior to moving out of the deplorable unit after I communicated many times to property management the carpet needed cleaning ; however, they never cleaned the carpet. I reached out to the direct client and the direct client representative stated I should have never received any bill for this type of service because once a guest moves out of a unit, they replace the carpet, etc. The latest attempt was to collect from a letter dated XX/XX/2022, from National Credit Systems , Inc . The letter states a Resolution Offer of {$1100.00}. Again, I do not own or owe this debt. These business practices are beyond me to accuse a guest of XXXX XXXX XXXX of something beyond rent.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: National Credit Systems in XXXX, GA keeps calling me about a debt that I do not owe. I've sent them numerous emails and spoke with them several times on the phone to let them know I needed to see proof of debt because I don't owe anyone, anything. They finally emailed me one document of an apartment lease that ended XXXX of XXXX. I let them know I moved out of this apartment in XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX, and that I don't understand what they are trying to collect. On 3 separate occasions they changed their story of why they were collecting this debt. First they told me if was for lost keys, then they told me it was for missed rent in XXXX, lastly, they told me if was for rent for the month of XX/XX/2022. Well, I moved out in XXXX, so I didn't owe XXXX rent. The only document of proof they were able to show me was a lease that expired in XXXX. So, how can they justify collecting on a debt from a month that I didnt even live at this apartment? I've sent them screen shots, emails, phone records, videos, pictures, etc from my moving day and they just keep calling me. I've sent them all of the documentation that one would need to be able to see the apartment is not being truthful. They can not seem to produce " proof '' that I owe rent, the collections representative told me today that they just rely on the apartment 's word. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I dont think that is how the law works. Just because an apartment manager ( who is proven to prey on the elderly ) says I owe something, does not mean I owe it, unless she can prove otherwise? And so far, they can not prove it, because its not true. I need someone to help me because the manager at the collections company seems to be friendly with the apartment manager, and I honestly believe something illegal is happening here.

Consumer Complaint: I went to XXXX XXXX Apartments Inquiring about a Apartment at the end of XX/XX/2020 I paid a application fee but I never moved in. A debt owed of XXXX dollars was reported by XXXX XXXX XXXX to National Credit Systems saying that I owed the debt for leasing a Apartment which I never did. I was not aware of this debt until I went to lease an Apartment. I contacted the Apartment Complex and they told me they don't keep records of leases over a year. I also had someone else to call on my behalf and they were told they was trying to find the lease. I was denied entry into XXXX XXXX Apartments because of XXXX XXXX XXXX falsely reporting that I owed this debt, which from my understanding is against the FCRA that list civil penalties for people or businesses that willfully refuse to comply with accurate credit reporting and I also understand that actual damages are limited to a range of XXXX to XXXX.
