Consumer Complaint: I have requested a copy of my Consumer Disclosure Report and a Description of Procedure Letter. The reason this information was requested is because LexisNexis has information on my consumer file that does not belong to me, outdated information that should no-longer be in my file, and this information is causing harm. Even when I request the information directly from LexisNexis, the request is being denied as they are unable to authenticate my identity and therefore can not process my request. If I never done business with this company what information doesn't match up to what they have? If they are basing things directly from CRA 's, what information would not match up to what they have? this is a way for them not to provide me with the requested information so that they can continue to keep the negative information in my file, and sale this information to insurance companies, banks, and other institutions that would either deny me credit and or charge me higher interest rates.

Consumer Complaint: I had sent in a complaint on XX/XX/XXXX ( Case # XXXX ) to your office regarding the erroneous information in my Lexis Nexis consumer report in which the 3 bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) were alleging that that the Bankruptcy information was obtained from the 3rd party Data Furnisher, Lexis Nexis. I also disputed the information with Lexis Nexis the Data Furnisher who sent me a letter stating that in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 } 1681 ), Lexis Nexis filed my dispute with the 3 credit bureaus and on XX/XX/XXXX this disputed information was supposed to be deleted from their records and that never happened. I then submitted a second complaint to CFPB ( Case # XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX when I discovered that the erroneous information was still being reported by Lexis Nexis the Data Furnisher and the 3 credit bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) XXXX The CFPB complaint filed with your office response from LexisNexis was that they had located the bankruptcy record in question and had initiated a dispute of said record on my behalf to the 3 credit bureaus. This investigation was resolved on XX/XX/XXXX. However, LexisNexis stated that based on the information that I had provided in my complaint, they were unable to fully authenticate my identity. LexisNexis alleged that they had contacted me on XX/XX/XXXX by email via XXXX. And that they never received a response from me which is totally false. I had contacted LexisNexis and was instructed to upload my social security card and drivers license into their consumer portal in which I did. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, I received correspondence from LexisNexis stating that the Bankruptcy information that I had disputed on XX/XX/XXXX, that in that in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 } 1681 ), Lexis Nexis filed my dispute with the 3 credit bureaus and on XX/XX/XXXX this disputed information was supposed to be deleted from their records and my consumer report with the 3 credit bureaus but that never happened. I then reached out to the 3 credit bureaus and asked how the disputed information was verified by Lexis Nexis the 3rd party data furnisher when the information had been deleted from my file. My request to have this information deleted by the XXXX credit bureaus have been ignored and I have not received an updated response as of to date. Not to mention that LexisNexis and the XXXX credit bureaus ( XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ) use their bureaucratic process to justify keeping erroneous information on my credit report. Its evident that LexisNexis sent me a letter on XX/XX/XXXX with the Consumer number XXXX stating that they were unable to fully authenticate my identity and requested that I send in additional information in which I did. In addition, I received 3 letters with the same Consumer number XXXX that states that the disputed information was being removed from my files. Also note that the name in the body of the correspondence that reference CFPB Case # XXXX that I am attaching, is spelled XXXX XXXX which is not my legal name and further shows how erroneous information is being placed in my credit files and I want all traces of the XXXX XXXX deleted off my 3 credit reports with XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX.
