Consumer Complaint: ESCALATION OF FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST LEXISNEXIS FOR NON-COMPLIANCE WITH FEDERAL CREDIT REPORTING REGULATIONS. I am writing to escalate my complaint, originally filed on XX/XX/ ( CFPB Complaint ID : XXXX ), against LexisNexis for their failure to adhere to the mandates of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act ( FACTA ), and the Metro 2 Compliance Guidelines. These regulations are instrumental in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of consumer credit information. In response to my initial CFPB complaint, LexisNexis requested additional proof of identitya clear copy of my driver 's license or social security card, along with the most recent utility bill or credit card statement indicating my current addressin their communication dated XX/XX/. This requirement, not stipulated on their website for accessing a consumer profile or initiating a dispute, raises serious concerns about their compliance with established procedures. This discrepancy, along with their persistent refusal to grant access to my profile despite receiving all requested documents, points to a potential violation of federal laws and indicates the use of delaying tactics. The FCRA ( 15 U.S.C. 1681g ) explicitly guarantees consumers the right to access their credit information upon request. LexisNexis 's continual denial to provide access to my consumer profile contravenes this provision. Furthermore, their apparent disregard for the Metro 2 Compliance Guidelines, which are critical for the standardization and precision of credit reporting, compounds their non-compliance. The inconsistency in LexisNexis 's identity verification process, as evidenced by the conflicting requirements in their email compared to their website guidelines, suggests a breach of the FCRA and FACTAs transparency and accuracy mandates. This incongruity and the resultant delay in resolving my original complaint strongly indicate the use of stall tactics. Given these circumstances, I implore the CFPB to initiate a comprehensive investigation into LexisNexiss practices for compliance with the FCRA, FACTA, and the Metro 2 Compliance Guidelines. I seek an immediate correction of my consumer profile and appropriate measures against LexisNexis for their apparent non-compliance and negligent handling of consumer data. Enclosed, please find copies of all pertinent correspondence and documents for your review. I appreciate your prompt attention to this pressing matter and await your swift and decisive action to rectify these significant issues.
