Consumer Complaint: My brother and sister and I had schedule to meet at the Key bank XXXX in XXXX, Ohio on XXXX XXXX, 2015 around XXXX My husband drove me to the bank. My brother was there when my husband and I showed up. My sister was a little late getting there so my brother and I greeted each other and he called my sister to see if she was on her way. XXXX when the bank opened, a banker came to unlock the doors. She went back in and another banker came to the door. My sister showed up about XXXX The XXXX of us greeted each other and proceeded to go into the bank. We were met at the door by XXXX the bankers. She told us the system was down and we would have to use the drive thru window. We told her we did n't need to use the drive up window. We told her that we needed to speak to someone about a loan modification. She told us we would have to call customer service and speak to them about getting a loan. We tried to tell her why we were there but she kept referring back to a customer service number and a loan. All of the conversation was taken place outside the door of the bank. My brother asked the banker why we were standing outside in the cold and not inside having this conversation. We were stopped at the door and told we could go to the bank in XXXX. We live in XXXX and we did n't need to talk to anyone about getting a loan but we needed to speak to someone about modifying a loan we already had with the bank. We never got a chance to tell this. Every time we tried the banker would say we can speak to customer service, and she told us to go to another bank. We were embarrassed and humiliated. The police were called and people were coming out of the bank looking at us as if we had stolen something. Women were rushing to their cars. Yes even though we were told the system was down everyone that was n't XXXX was able to go into the bank and do their normal banking. After we realized we were being discriminated against my sister used her cell phone to record the events. I told the banker, after she said she recognized my sister, that we are together and that we were siblings. She just looked at us as though we had done something to her. This situation was so embarrassing, plus it was cold I went back to the car to get warm. My sister was still trying to get information while still being told to go else where. I tried to explain to her that we were siblings. She said she recognized my sister but she still would n't allow us to come in and sit down and talk to her. Mean while other XXXX people were allowed to go into the bank and do their normal banking. People were leaving the bank in a hurry as if we were some kind of criminals. It was embarrassing and I had to keep my brother calm.

Consumer Complaint: I am submitting my complaint as I was unable to resolve the issue with the company. I recently contacted my mortgage broker to see if I can take advantage of the lower interest rates and refinance my mortgage. During the process, he discovered that my credit score dropped from XXXX to XXXX because of the 30-days past due payment reported by Key Bank in XXXX, 2015. I have a credit card with that bank that I do not really use. The only transaction going through is the monthly automated deduction for XXXX identity theft protection in the amount of {$7.00}, so every month I make a payment ( account history attached. ) I am a single mom employed full-time and part-time XXXX student with no family other than my son, so it 's obvious that I am extremely busy as I have a lot of responsibilities and no one to help. As the result of the above as well as because I have n't gotten a statement, I forgot to make a Key Bank credit card payment in the amount of {$7.00} which was due on XXXX XXXX, 2015. Later I realized that I do n't when I made the payment last time, so I immediately called Key ( XXXX/XXXX/2015 ) to discover that I am past due ; I made the payment immediately. I questioned several times if I was reported to credit bureaus as being late. I was clearly advised that no reporting occurred and the late fee was waived as a courtesy since I 've been a valued customer and never been late. Note, no collection calls were placed, no past due notice was sent to my mailing or email address. As I stated above, I was misinformed and I was reported as being 30-days late. I contacted Key bank on XXXX/XXXX/2015 and spoke to supervisor - XXXX about my issue. She told that bank is not willing to remove negative reporting regardless of the fact that I did n't get a statement, I did n't get a single collection calls or a single notice to my mailing or email address and I was advised that no reporting would occur. I asked whether the bank has a collection department. XXXX advised that they do and I should 've gotten collection calls beginning few days of delinquency. I questioned why did they fail to do so and the answer was ( citation ) - " I do n't know. '' We verified all my demographic information and it was correct in bank 's system. The result of the situation described above is as follows : - My FICO score dropped from XXXX to XXXX, so it will take XXXX years to bring it back to original level - I am unable to refinance my house which would 've saved me ~ $ XXXX/month as per my mortgage broker ( {$150000.00} over the life of the loan ) - As I mentioned before, XXXX. Low FICO score would prevent me from getting future loans to cover my tuition, so I will have to leave the school and start repaying existing student loans without an opportunity to graduate and obtain a higher salary position - My car is about to break down and I was planning to buy a new one XX/XX/XXXX which I will be unable to do without a good credit as my savings are insufficient ; if my car is non-functional I will have no way to go to work and a single source of income will be lost I sincerely believe that the negative credit bureau reporting needs to be removed based on the following reasons : - Bank 's unfair business practices and confirmation that no reporting would occur - I did n't receive the statement and bank failed to notify me about the past due balance contrary to its procedures - I have no one to help me in case of a hardship, so I need my credit history - The above referenced FICO score supposed to be an indicator of my credit worthiness, however, it does n't accurately reflect my ability to repay the debt ; - Overall, I do n't believe that {$7.00} payment not made on time should cost me a car, a job, a school and ruin all my and my son 's lives Thank you so much, I sincerely hope that you can help me with my situation

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX, 2015 between XXXX-XXXX., I had got off work that morning and went to Key Bank in XXXX , Ohio to meet my Sister and Brother at XXXX. to discuss an outstanding loan debt with a loan officer. I was running about 5 minutes late, but when I arrived there, we were denied entry into the Key Bank located XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, XXXX, Ohio. They were only allowing XXXX in to do business. I felt that I was being discriminated against and could not understand why I was being treated that way. I have been a customer of this bank for years and I too was not allowed entry, we were literally locked out. I am an XXXX female who just wanted to talk with someone in the bank concerning modification of a loan. I was told to " go to another bank, on XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX talk with that Loan officer, who happens to be XXXX XXXX too. It was quite embarrassing. Though ... .after about 45 minutes, standing outside, witnessing XXXX police cruisers pulling in and them letting all the white customers out, my brother and sister and I were finally allowed entry. We asked why " we were not allow in but the XXXX customers were,? '' the Relationship Manager on duty, XXXX XXXX said, " because their system was down. '' That 's what explanation she gave us, which could n't be true, seeing that the white customers had no problem gaining entry and transacting their business. It was n't fair that me, my sister and brother were denied that opportunity.

Consumer Complaint: I am complaining about my key advantage checking account from Key Bank. I used a promotion code of {$300.00} bonus for opening this checking account and do not get the bonus. The {$300.00} bonus required {$1000.00} direct deposit and 5 online bill payments within 60 days from account open date. I met all the requirements, but Key Bank said I did not. The bank said my account open date is XXXX/XXXX/2015 and I met the requirements on XXXX/XXXX/2015 so I did not met the requirements within 60 days from account opening date, which I think is ridiculous. I did applied this account online on XXXX/XXXX/2015. But after submitting the application, I was told that the account was unable to be opened online and I had to open this account in a branch. Then I went to a KeyBank branch on XXXX/XXXX/2015, opened the account in branch. I made an initial deposit of {$50.00} which was posted on XXXX/XXXX/2015. I made the {$1000.00} direct deposit on XXXX/XXXX/2015. I made five online bill payments on XXXX/XXXX/2015 which are posted on XXXX/XXXX/2015. I definitely met the requirements within 60 days from my account open date XXXX/XXXX/2015!!!!! I went to a branch ( locating on XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, OH XXXX ) on XXXX/XXXX/2015 to ask about my {$300.00} bonus. I was told I did not met the requirements since the account open date in their system is XXXX/XXXX/2015 and I should completed requirements before XXXX/XXXX/2015. It is ridiculous! My application was rejected on XXXX/XXXX/2015 online, I opened my account in a branch on XXXX/XXXX/2015.

Consumer Complaint: Using an automated form field from a website where I frequently make purchases, I inadvertently charged XXXX purchase to my Key Bank MasterCard. I did not receive any bills or payment due notices from Key Bank regarding the outstanding balance on this card. ( This did n't seem odd, as I do n't normally maintain a balance on this card, so I was n't expecting a bill. ) Key Bank began reporting my account as delinquent, but never successfully contacted me in order to resolve the issue. Key records claim that they sent me an email balance statement monthly, but I am not receiving these from them. Even to this day, they have made no effort to resolve the ineffectiveness of their email delivery system. Key records claim that the sent me XXXX ( XXXX ) document in the mail to notify me of the issue after my credit was revoked. I did not receive this document. The original charge that started this issue was approximately $ XXXX-XXXX. Key Bank has forced me to pay significant late fees in order to stop reporting my account as delinquent. I have sent two messages to the Key Bank Credit Inquiry Department explaining the circumstances and requesting that they take some responsibility for the ineffectiveness of their billing system. I have also spent over 4 hours on the telephone with customer service representatives. All of these efforts have been ineffective. Key Bank is taking no responsibility for their involvement in this issue. My credit score has dropped from over XXXX to under XXXX due to this issue. I am still unable to receive billing communications from Key Bank.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a home equity line of credit in XXXX. I charged {$880.00} against the account in XXXX of that year and paid off the balance of {$880.00} within 21 days. Today I discovered that KeyBank charged the account {$2.00} interest on the loan, in XXXX XXXX, but never notified me of the interest charge. There were no statements, no hits on my credit report and no notifications in my email. They attached a lien on my home for the {$2.00} and never notified me of this additional development. I went to close the open account on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, just to find out that I owed an additional {$28.00} for the lien charge. There were no past due statements, emails, phone calls, explanations, apologies, or responsibility owned by the bank. The bank manager was condescending when I asked for some manner of recourse or requirement to refute the bill.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a Ch. XXXX Bankruptcy in the XXXX XXXX of California on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and after completing the plan was discharged on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. The Trustee noted a property mortgaged by KEY BANK NATIONAL ASSOCIATION as " REJECT & RETURN '' and by Order of the Court ; the property was returned to KEY BANK and subsequently sold. XXXX reflects KEY BANK as a " Derogatory '' and as " Negative Account, Closed Account '' however it continues to report the status as " Included in Bankruptcy ''. Much of the " Details '' information is incorrect. It reports the Type of Loan as " Unsecured '' ; it was a real property mortgage secured by a Deed of Trust, the Date of First Delinquency as XXXX ( while I was in bankruptcy ), and I filed a Ch. XXXX bankruptcy not a Ch. XXXX. XXXX reflects KEY BANK as " Derogatory '' and as " Potentially Negative Closed ''. It reports " Payment Status Included in Bankruptcy '' and inaccurately reports under " Comments Bankruptcy Chapter XXXX ''. XXXX reflects KEY BANK as " Derogatory '' and as a " Negative Closed Account ''. It incorrectly reports the loan type as " Unsecured loan and Opened XXXX/XXXX/XXXX '' and shows negative payment histories for the months XXXX, XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I have disputed the incorrect information with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX on numerous occasions to no avail. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I mailed certified letters to XXXX KEY BANK addresses, the address listed with the Bankruptcy Court and the address listed by XXXX, XXXX and XXXX, respectively. I am seeking your assistance to resolve these inaccuracies and correct my credit reports.
