Consumer Complaint: I have been banking with Chase at XXXX NJ location for 20 years- both checking and savings accounts. I received a call a couple of days ago, XX/XX/2023, from the bank notifying me that my savings account is inactive due to no activity for over 6 months even though I have an electronic monthly transfer from my checking to savings. I was told that it is not considered an activity. To reactivate the account, I have to go into the bank personally to do it. How stupid are these banks these days. I thought we are all moving towards the electronic era, instead we are moving backwards in terms of banking. This becomes a pain having to manually do transactions on the account periodically even though I have another account that is active and have active transactions ( eg ATM, Deposits and withdrawals ) Call up the bank manager and was told this is the New Jersey State law and this regulation has always been in place. If that's the case, I would have gotten notification on the savings account many years back. Is the bank trying to get their customers to personally go in and at the same time try to market their new products?

Consumer Complaint: We were working with a lender, XXXX XXXX, supposedly with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, for a property loan, 100 % financing, and he requested {$1200.00} to start the loan process. On XX/XX/XXXXXXXX I wired the funds to XXXX, XXXX XXXX listed on wire transfer information. He then started asking for more money and we knew something wasnt right, so I asked for our money to be returned as we were not going to move forward with his loan. He said it would take 7 days to return the funds. After about 10 days, I contacted him, he said to wait until after the holidays, and after that he said he was going to keep {$600.00} for the work he already started with our loan. I have signed documents that state the {$1200.00} is refundable, we never received any services from him or any money. I called my bank to request the funds back, they attempted on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX, with no resolve. I contacted XXXX again, he said he returned the complete funds, which was a lie. We have been without {$1200.00} since XXXX, and this guy is literally giving us the run around, even though we have signed documents stating the {$1200.00} was refundable. I dont want anyone else to experience this scam, and we need our money back.

Consumer Complaint: I have been speaking with Chase Executive office since my vehicle was seized. They have waited until the last minute to find a resolution. The vehicle is due to be sold this week because they have stalled through this process since XX/XX/XXXX. I was told that we could reinstate the loan on a document that is called the notice of sale but when I called to discuss that information they informed me that Chase did not mean to state that they could reinstate the loan. It had to be a misprint. Then the rep hung up on me. So I have called back several times. I was told by the Executive office that tow trucks can use objects to unlock the door to a vehicle if needed to obtain possession of the vehicle which violates that consumer law that it should be done peacefully. On the contract that was signed it also states that a repossession has to be performed peacefully as well. In the state of LA, the judicial process allows the bank to reposes the vehicle without judicial process but the bank has to notify the debtor in writing before the repossession. Also there has to be a document filed with the clerk of court in the parish where the debtor resides prior to repossession of the movable vehicle. Which was not performed in coordiance with the state law. Also, on the TIL documents it states that there is no cooling off period. XXXX XXXX states that any consumer has the right to rescind or cancel their contract at will. Also, on their contract that was signed it stated that it states that they ( JP Morgan ) they have to abide by Louisiana law and do the repossession peacefully. Also, the representative stated that they filed the documents in the parish where the vehicle was taken not where the vehicle was filed which was in XXXX XXXX. There has been inconsistent answers and cover ups for the way this who process was taken. If the vehicle was charged off in XXXX, why would you repossess the vehicle in XXXX without notification. The Mortgage fee that is placed on LA vehicles requires that lienholders file documents with the court and/or state for the purchase of the vehicle. Which means they have to abide by those laws as well. In signing the contract in XXXX of 2022, I was told Chase financed the vehicle with 90 days before the payment is due. According to my files, my first payment was due the very next month XX/XX/2022 which makes the contract void because of false representation under a retail sale contract. Lastly, I was told by Chase that they never received any payments towards this account. I have proof where payment was taken but never accredited to this account.

Consumer Complaint: I spoke with JP Morgan Chase Bank on Tuesday XX/XX/2023, from XXXX to XXXX about three separate fees marked as Non-Chase ATM Fee-Withdrawal. I asked if this could be waived as I had to use the ATM outside of the country. I was denied this request. The three separate fees were charged on : XX/XX/2023 XX/XX/2023 XX/XX/2023 The representative let me know that these fees were charged due to me using a Non-Chase ATM machine and I am encouraged to use an ATM machine from Chase. I asked if JP Morgan Chase had international partners for when I had to take out cash as not all countries have a cashless society like one in the United States. They responded that they do not. I asked if there was an account that I could upgrade to where I can avoid these fees. They answered they do not. I asked then if I am already being charged separately for using the ATM by the ATM holder in the beginning and being hit with a {$5.00} charge every time from Chase, I'm out at least ~ {$10.00} per transaction ( in this case, the fee for using the ATM was 300 DOP per transaction which equals to {$5.00} ). This seemed unfair and a junk fee as JP Morgan Chase does not offer any international ATM partnerships or an option for me to avoid these fees outside of just not using an ATM when abroad which can be hard to avoid in some countries. They offer no resolution outside of just plan to use a Chase ATM at all times at all costs ( even inside the US if there are no branches within a 50 mile radius or if this is inconvenient ).
