Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Consumer Complaint: Someone has hacked into my email, they have hacked into my accounts, used my cards for their own purchases, and now I have tried to open up a chase card and my name. I was laying in bed and received a hard inquiry on my credit report coming across my phone. I am in bed and have not applied for a Chase credit card whatsoever. I have contacted my credit card companies and had to report fraud and had to replace my identity at the XXXX. I need to take it on my credit report immediately this is unfair.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: In reference to my complaints I made against Chase bank dated XX/XX/23, I received call from the bank and a case manager was assigned to my case. The case manager and I confirmed that I dont have any accounts or credit cards with the last four digits or the account number being the reason all my accounts and credit cards is close in my name and it maybe a misunderstanding. Yet I still received letter from chase bank dated XX/XX/23 saying my accounts and credit cards will still remain closed. Is J.P. Morgan chase closing my accounts base on a fault information. Why will my account be closed base on an account that I dont have or never had.. All I want is a fair judgement on my case and my accounts reopen.. XXXX XXXX XXXX : XXXX. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: Agency continues to report this closed account. The account was paid and closed several years ago. This action is causing a tremendous damage to my personal credit with continuously reporting an account that was paid as agreed and closed years ago. It would assist me tremendously if you could make an adjustment and remove this negative payments and reporting entry from my three credit bureau reports. This is a closed account that represents a past failure that I am hopeful will not continue to hinder my future.

Consumer Complaint: I have evidence that JP Morgan Chase Bank ( " Creditor '' ) received payment-in-full from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( `` Principal '' ) in the form of a promissory note which is the credit agreement ( " Contract '' ) signed by the Principal, a negotiable instrument according to UCC 3-104 and can be accepted as a deposit to the Creditors bank account in exchange for credits according to 12 USC 1813 ( l ). Also, since the Contract included a promise to pay the Finance Charge, the Creditor has also already received the Finance Charge in full in the form of credits exchanged for the promissory note. This is only possible because the promissory note is evidence of debt and is secured by direct obligations of the United States according to 12 USC 347c. The Creditor used the promissory note to receive credits from the US Treasury in the same way banks receive a US dollar bill, which is also evidence of debt, in exchange for credits to a bank account. Although the Creditor has already received payment-in-full from the Principal through the promissory note, the Creditor willfully and knowingly created false and misleading statements mailed to the Principal in order to receive additional payments from the Principal. 15 USC 1605 clearly states the Finance Charge is the sum of all charges in connection with a consumer credit transaction. Since the Creditor created charges in addition to the Finance Charge they already received, this is a violation of 15 USC 1605 and the Creditor is subject to civil liability pursuant to 15 USC 1640 and criminal liability pursuant to 15 USC 1611. In regard to the balance shown in the enclosed Statement, it is presented to the Principal as a remaining amount owed by the Principal to the Creditor. The principal balance is actually a credit balance owed by the Creditor to the Principal. This is evident from the Creditor having to adhere to the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ( GAAP ) pursuant to 12 USC 1831n ( a ) ( 2 ) ( A ) since they received the promissory note as an asset on their books. To legally offset the asset ( promissory note ) received from the Principal, the Creditor securitized the promissory note by creating a liability owed to the Principal in the form of a debt instrument/bond. Therefore, the principal balance belongs to the Principal. According to 15 USC 1666d, the Creditor should have credited the credit balance to the Principals account, refunded to the Principal upon the Principals request and made a good faith effort to refund the remaining credit balance to the Principal by cash, check, or money order. Since the Creditor did not act according to 15 USC 1666d, they instead fraudulently attempted to receive additional payments from the Principal. As a result, the economic effect of the Creditors actions is similar to counterfeiting, swindling and stealing from the Principal.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: Summary : Chase bank refuses to look into a disputed transaction ( simply indicating the transaction is valid ), even as I submit to them the evidence that they ask for. Evidence indicate that I never received the service. Chase claims that the claim has been timed out and they will not look into it. Extended summary : I disputed a transaction, that was made on my Chase credit card. Chase denied my dispute. I called Chase. Chase asked me to send evidence. I sent evidence immediately. Chase then sent me a letter saying that the disputed transaction was valid. I called them for clarification, they indicated that the case had been timed out so the evidence was not even considered. Chase then asks me to send a letter to request them to re-open the case. I do that immediately. Chase once again says they will not look into it since the case was timed out ( i have no idea why would the case be timed out since I sent them evidence indicating that the merchant never provided me with the purchased service immediately and per Chase 's request ). Time line : XXXX : on Chase 's portal, i disputed a transaction that was made to my account, by XXXX ( XXXX ). This was a for a service that XXXX ended up not providing, even as I did everything that XXXX asked me to do. I have email communication from XXXX. XX/XX/XXXX : Chase sends me this msg : Here 's an update on your dispute ( s ) XX/XX/XXXX : Chase sends me this msg : We consider the disputed charge ( s ) valid XX/XX/XXXX- I called Chase to ask why are the charges valid, given that I never got a product. They said to write and submit a letter to Chase and they will consider looking into it. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : I resubmitted more docs, physically, in their Chase Branch. XX/XX/XXXX : I called Chase and confirmation was made to me that they got the documents and they will look into it but that the case is timed out and I will likely not have a result. XXXX XXXX, XXXX : Chase sends a note : We're researching the charge ( s ) you disputed recently XXXX XXXX, XXXX : Chase sends a note : We confirmed that the transactions you disputed are valid XXXX i called Chase to ask how did they conclude that the transactions are valid? given that I gave them evidence to the contrary. Chase, once again, asked me to reopen the case by sending a new letter. Chase said that the second time that I sent documents ( XXXX ), things were never investigated because the case had timed out. ( in other words, they received the evidence but decided not to investigate ) XX/XX/XXXX : I sent a new letter, as directed, via Chase 's upload document center. XX/XX/XXXX I called chase, they opened the case. But still said its timed out and likely will not look into it. XX/XX/XXXX : chase sends a note that they are looking into the case XX/XX/XXXX : chase indicates that they disputed transaction is valid and they will no longer look into it.

Consumer Complaint: I have observed that you have listed an alleged debt on my consumer report without any prior communication. I demand that you provide the 1099c for this account. It is unjust to report this account and have it displayed on my consumer report. I have enclosed my complaint letter for your review, and I expect a careful examination of its contents. If this matter is not addressed appropriately, I will pursue legal action against your organization.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, a Temporary Restraining Order ( TRO ) was placed on my Total XXXX account by Chase Bank. Despite filing complaints with both the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the XXXX I have yet to receive a satisfactory resolution from the bank. The responses I received from Chase Bank, which I have attached as PDFs, simply advised me to wait for an internal review. Even though the TRO has legally expired, Chase Bank is still holding my funds without providing any information. This is my final attempt to kindly request the lifting of the insufficient XXXX and an internal review of my case with a prompt response. I also want to inform Chase Bank that, as a customer, I am escalating this matter to the XXXX XXXX XXXX before proceeding with a court complaint. I am taking legal action against the bank for customer negligence and the indefinite holding of my personal funds. If Chase Bank can provide a satisfactory resolution, I will promptly drop this case and avoid any further escalation. Thank you in advance, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Recently my parents gave me two checks for a few XXXX dollars. One from a joint account and one from my mother 's personal account. I deposited them to my Chase checking account. Shortly after, I tried to use my debit card, and it declines. I call Chase only to discover my account is completely restricted as the deposit had been automatically flagged for potential fraud. Keep in mind I am a full-time college student and this money was going towards paying rent, gas, and food. I have called Chase multiple times to try to clear the restriction, every time they say the same thing, their system is not showing verified phone number for the maker of the check. Apparently, they need to call the maker of the check to verify. Now, my mother has her personal phone number on these accounts, and I can not see a single reason the number wouldn't be verified. Every time I ask what we can do to verify this phone number, they say there is nothing I can do, their system has to verify it. Honestly, they have been absolutely no help in resolving this issue, in fact they say the funds will be completely held up until the checks are verified as not fraudulent, if not, they will keep my account restricted for years until they finally close it, then the money is returned to the state. It's completely ridiculous. They say there is no other way to verify the checks, which is hard to believe. One of the accounts the money was sent from is also a Chase account, which has been open for many years, and they still can not verify it. The other account is a XXXX XXXX account, and my mother called them to find that XXXX XXXX had absolutely no problem clearing the checks, and Chase should have the money. Chase means to hold these funds hostage with no clear way to unrestrict my account. Meanwhile, I have classes to worry about, and rent is upcoming. The process for verifying the check seems simple but has caused me nothing but problems.

Consumer Complaint: I misplaced my wallet a week ago, along with my debit card, social security number, and other personal items. This has happened to me twice, and someone has deposited a cheque there. As soon as I noticed a deposit, I contacted the bank to let them know. After a few days, the bank contacted me that my account was restricted and would soon be closed. I tried to tell them that wasn't the case, but they continued to say they would close. Now that I receive weekly payments from my job and use my bank to pay for schooling, I'm not sure what to do. I simply want to know what can be done to fix this
