Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: To start on XX/XX/XXXX my XXXX XXXX Account business card was closed without any notice or notification at all from Chase. I only found out by viewing my credit report with XXXX XXXX. I checked the app, website, and my mail and had received nothing by XX/XX/XXXX when I found out. I promptly messaged Chase demanding they open my account again because there was 0 reason they had to do so and had provided me no information. I received a response in email saying to call for more info. I call and they say the account closure was for " bank policy '' reasons and that a letter was sent to me. It is XX/XX/XXXX and I have still have not received any letter. Furthermore, I want to reference my account was in excellent standing with 0 missed payments, excellent credit, and no disputes. On top of that this was verified by Chase when they opened the account since I had to call in to verify information for my application and they APPROVED me then only to close my account barely 6 months later. They also did this with my bank account which was in good standing for " suspicious activity '' a year or so prior when they couldn't verify my cash was coming from but never offered me to prove cash deposits which I could have easily. All these is some sort of clear discrimination or otherwise because my financial history is perfect and this has cost me on my credit reports. Chase is NOT to be trusted with your money.

Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2023 JPMorgan Chase Bank Consumer Relations Department XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, OH XXXX Subject : Unauthorized Hard Inquiries on My Credit Reports Dear Sir/Madam of Chase , I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a matter concerning unauthorized hard inquiries on my credit reports, which I believe to be fraudulent and in violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). I kindly request that JPMorgan Chase Bank ( JPMCB ) promptly remove these inquiries from all three of my credit reports. Upon reviewing my credit reports, I discovered that two hard inquiries were made on XX/XX/2023, and XX/XX/2023, respectively. I would like to emphasize that I did not authorize these inquiries, nor did I have any prior knowledge of them. These unauthorized inquiries not only impact my credit score but also raise concerns regarding potential fraudulent activity. As evidence of these unauthorized inquiries, I have attached screenshots of my credit reports clearly showing the details of the inquiries. I kindly request that you thoroughly review the attachments to understand the unauthorized nature of these inquiries. Under the FCRA, consumers have the right to dispute any inaccurate or unauthorized information on their credit reports. According to Section 1681b of the FCRA, entities seeking access to an individual 's credit report must obtain the consumer 's written consent before pulling their credit records. As I did not provide authorization for these inquiries, I believe they are in violation of this provision. I kindly request that JPMCB immediately investigate this matter and take appropriate action to remove the unauthorized hard inquiries from all three of my credit reports. I also request that you provide me with a written confirmation once the inquiries have been removed. I trust that you will handle this matter promptly and in accordance with the law. If necessary, I am prepared to take further action to protect my rights under the FCRA. I look forward to your prompt attention to this matter. Please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss the steps being taken to resolve this issue. Thank you for your cooperation. Yours sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I wrote a check for {$55000.00} which was submitted from my XXXX XXXX account to a vendor at a chase bank. Chase bank held the funds due to suspicious check activitybut refused to verify my valid check with the distributing bank. They cashed my check # XXXX on XX/XX/2023, withdrawing the funds from my account. My money is now in limbo with chase bank, as it is not being submitted to the vendor as needed. This is paramount to chase bank stealing my XXXX by refusing to give the funds to the vendor.

Issue: Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers
Subissue: Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Consumer Complaint: Hello, Chase bank offered me a balance transfer for my Chase Sapphire Reserve card via mail and when I logged into the my banking portal. The offer was 0 % interest rate, for 12 months ( until XX/XX/XXXX ) and then a 20.74 % after the promotional period ends. There was a 5 % fee associated with this offer. I took this offer and on XX/XX/XXXX the {$15000.00} was deposited into my checking account and the {$15000.00} was charged to my credit card ( for what I believed 0 % interest until XX/XX/XXXX ). When my credit card statement was distributed today ( XX/XX/XXXX ). The credit card statement said to pay the the full balance transfer amount ( {$15000.00} ) + my new purchases last month + minimum amount to avoid interest payments to AVOID interest charges. This is not what I believe I agreed to with the balance transfer agreement. I called their customer service line twice to understand why my credit card statement said that. Upon calling their customer service line the first time, the customer service representative could not explain why my credit card statement said that or how that amount was calculated. Upon calling the customer service line the second time, again, he customer service representative could not explain why my credit card statement said that or how that amount was calculated. It was on the second call where I was transferred to a supervisor that declared that unless I paid that amount in full [ full balance transfer amount ( {$15000.00} ) + my new purchases last month + minimum amount to avoid interest payments ] that I will not be charged any interested. This is because in the fine print of the contract ( which is being mailed to me in 7-10 business days ), unless I pay that full amount previously noted, I apparently agreed to that any new purchases I am being charged interest from the day of transaction. This is contrast to traditional interest that you incur if you don't pay off your new purchases in full by the due date. I believe balance transfer agreement was false advertising, and that is because buried in the fine print ( which I am waiting to be mailed to me and review ) they changed the terms of the original agreement and how they charge interest. It used to be : you incur interest if you don't pay off your new purchases in full by their due date. Whereas now I'm getting charged interest the day of any new purchase. The net result is a feeling that a big bank pulled one over on me in the fine print.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: I received a letter in the mail about Chase bank closing my account for suspicious activity. Today is XX/XX/2023, I called the number on the letter regarding any questions. I asked on why they were closing my account and they had no response back. They said just because and there were no details in the system on why it was being closed and there was no one I can speak to. I decided to go to one of their branches to speak to a manager and they said that they were entitled to close any accounts they want. My concern is why are they closing my account and if theres a suspicious activity on my account, I believe I should be informed. My account has been in good standards with them and Ive been banking with them for over 15 years. I checked my statements and transactions to see if I saw any illegal activity but I have none and Im a working guy who pays his taxes and have no issues with the IRS or my bank. I havent dealt with any fraud in my account and I have money in my account to comply with their rules. It cant be my credit score either because I have a good credit score. Inwojkd like to have my account reopened or at least tell me whats going on and why is my account being closed for no reason.

Consumer Complaint: I had subscribed to XXXX XXXX XXXX on or about XX/XX/2023 and decided to cancel on or about XX/XX/XXXX because XXXX misrepresented that they were only going to charge me {$79.00}, which would be in two installments, one for {$39.00} in XXXX and one for {$39.00} in XXXX. However they posted {$82.00} to my account in error. I then decided to cancel the membership on or about MY XXXX and I have an email to prove that it's been canceled but Chase will not do anything about it because they said they have to wait 15 days. Why do they have to wait 15 days when I have that confirmation email that I just uploaded to my Chase account? My balance is reflecting the {$82.00} which I should not be responsible for and I've asked them to take care of it but they are refusing to do so.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX there's a Chase Amazon credit card in I, and my father 's name XXXX XXXX. The card was closed by chase due to idenity theft they said. I paid the card off so they're wouldn't be a strain on our consumer reports, as chase was working to verify the validity of the card the account etc, and/or negated to close the account. I continued to pay the card from my own person bank accounts. Chase finally closed the card. I paid if the card completely and they're still coming after me for XXXX an amount they said I didn't owe and that we were not responsible for as the card was closed for to idenity theft. Well chase bank is still trying to draft this money from us and is reporting this information on our consumer reports. I think I deserve a refund if they've finally come to the conclusion that the account should be closed due to idenity theft, we should be responsible, for nothing of the charges, correct. Clearly they have my banking information with XXXX XXXX XXXX bc they've tried to draft my checking account today. I think I should be due a full refund for all payments made as well as this information immediately removed from our consumer reports. I think this is an atrocity, a crime against the elderly, a violation of our rights, discrimination, is not factual in any way, which could violate federal and state laws such as Fact act violations, fcra, fdcpa, fcba violations. GLBA rights to privacy defamation of character If it's idenity theft return all of the money You've closed the account but are still trying to collect from a XXXX old man you deemed not responsible You've put it on our consumer reports I've paid over, {$2000.00} to keep this off of our consumer repays while you did your research and concluded idenity theft yet still coming after a XXXX XXXX old man.
