Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I signed a contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX to legally relinquish our ownership in 2 timeshares in Florida and XXXX. This was a 2-year contract that was guaranteed to remove us from our commitment to these properties and if XXXX XXXX XXXX was unsuccessful in their ability to do so, we would receive a full refund. We used our XXXX XXXX credit card, issued by Chase Bank, to put a {$1500.00} down payment and a monthly payment of {$430.00} to be charged to this card for the remainder of the charges to a total of {$5200.00} to be made. After about a 10-month period, XXXX XXXX XXXX stopped all communication with us. Phone calls were not being answered and emails were not being responded to. We also found that their website had been abandoned. We immediately notified Chase Bank, by phone and opened a dispute on XX/XX/XXXX. We were told that since this was a 2-year contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX there was nothing they could do until the contract term had lapsed. We notified them that the company was a fraud, and we need to cancel any future payments that may occur but once again, since it was a signed agreement, there was nothing they could do, and we could refile a dispute after the 2-year time period had lapsed. We then contacted the State of California. Department of Justice, Attorney General XXXX XXXX, and notify his office of our circumstances and they also received no response from XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, I called Chase Bank and I explained the entire situation to a Chase Bank representative. I was told that they were in the XXXX, and they would have a representative in the US return my call. After a few days, a Chase Bank representative did return my call and she told me there was nothing they could do. I requested to talk to a supervisor, and they then agreed to transfer me to the Dispute Department. After explaining the whole situation again, they notified me that since it was over the 1-year threshold, they could not do anything. After I reminded them that I called before the 1-year threshold and was told I would have to wait for the contract to expire, they finally agreed to allow me to refile a dispute. On XX/XX/XXXX, I refiled our dispute with Chase Bank with full documentation including our contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX, our explanation of the events and the timeline, and the letter from the Attorney General of California. I called Chase Bank multiple times for an update on my dispute, and I was told that they closed the case and that they could not make any refund since it was over the 1-year time period for a dispute. After explaining that they required that I wait for the contract to expire, they recommended that I file a Fraud case with their fraud department since it seemed that XXXX XXXX XXXX was a fraud. The representative then transferred me to the Chase Bank fraud department. I filed the complaint and they used all of the documentation from the dispute so I did not have to resend any documentation. After about 2 months, I was notified that they closed my case and no refund would be given. I am requesting that Chase Bank refund the amount paid to XXXX XXXX XXXX which totaled {$4400.00} since I notified Chase Bank before the 1 year time period they require and their failed to investigate my claims that XXXX XXXX XXXX was a fraudulent company in XXXX. I can supply the supporting documentation that was sent to Chase Bank Dispute and Fraud departments if needed.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I report a transactions that I had not initiated, that is fraudulent charges. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from Chase indicating that they have cancelled that credit card and initiated a fraud charge. Soon, I received a new card, chase credited back the fraud charges, and the account now stands at XXXX. However, for unknown reasons, Chase continue to intermittently to report this claim, and it's negatively impacting my credit.

Consumer Complaint: I requested a balance balance transfer from a credit card I have with my bank back in XX/XX/XXXX to another XXXX to pay off the balance. I had been watching and waiting for the payment to post to the XXXX card for about a month. Calling and checking online to both the bank credit card and the other XXXX card. The bank credit card reps were telling me it could take up to 14 business days to mail out the check. Nothing had posted to the XXXX as of mid XXXX. I let my bank credit card know and ask them to start the process of a refund to my credit card. That is when they found out the check had been cashed on XX/XX/XXXX. I was told by the bank rep the check was cash by the XXXX XXXX and to reach out to them. So I did and they requested a copy of the check, which I provided to them and they did their investigation. I have now received a letter back from the XXXX company stating the check was cashed by another company, and that is way it was not posted to my account. I reached back out to my bank to see what the next step is. You can clearly see on the check that was sent to the XXXX company, my name, address, part of an account number and the Bank ( company ) it was made out to. The endorsement on the back of the check is not that company. It is my understanding that you are not allowed to cash a check that is not made out to you. It looks like they did.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I was scammed into XXXX someone ( named XXXX on XXXX ) money for a concert ticket for {$170.00}. I XXXX them so the scammer 's XXXX is associated with their bank and real identity. I called XXXX immediately and they told me they would look into it. I called again today on XX/XX/XXXX to see the status and the person I talked to on claims was incredibly rude and dismissive. They said I wouldn't get my money back and the case is closed and they won't do anything about it. Fine, it's XXXX thing if I can't get my money back, but I expect something to be done about the scammer 's account. Their XXXX is clearly attached to XXXX so they have an account and I can not believe that XXXX is unwilling to look into this account. How could you want to continue doing business with someone that scams people. This scammer 's account should be reported or closed or there should be action taken. As a long time customer of XXXX 's banking and credit services, I am incredibly disappointed with the way they have handled this. I get that I shouldn't have sent someone I don't know money but why does all the blame get put on me and not the evil person scamming others? I know XXXX can do something about this and it's sad that they do not care about all the people being scammed .... I expect my money back or for this scammer 's account to be closed and reported or I will be moving my primary banking and credit card relationship to a financial institution I can have faith in.

Consumer Complaint: I am requesting an investigation into Chases business practice that allowed an individual to steal my identity to open a business credit card account using my Social Security number for a business that I am not affiliated with. Chases records will show the following facts : ( 1 ) I am not now and never was a registered Owner of the business ; ( 2 ) I did not authorize the individual to open this or any other credit card ; ( 3 ) The individual was in total control of how this card was opened and managed, i.e., making payments via the business account, a business I am not a part of. ; ( 4 ) my computers IP address was never used to conduct any communication with Chase regarding this card. I have requested copies of the credit card application and any standard documentation that Chase required from the person opening this account but they have refused my request. I am outraged that Chase approved this account without getting any form of authorization from me to approve a credit card with such a high limit. I am a victim of identity theft that was caused by Chases negligence. I have been trying to resolve this matter with representatives of Chase but have been given the run around. Chases conduct has damaged my good credit. Going after me to pay this high balance is in bad faith since Chase has the ability to go after the person rightfully responsible for this debt. Please let me know if I can provide you with any further information that will assist you into this investigation. XX/XX/2023- Requested an investigation into the fraudulent method used to open the Chase business credit card using my credentials. Fraud specialist XXXX was my contact, she advised an investigation would begin and I would be contacted within 30-60 business days. At that time I also requested a copy of the credit application that was used to apply for the card and was told to ask the investigator that would be assigned to the case. It was also relayed to me that while the investigation is ongoing, nothing would be reported to the credit bureaus. XX/XX/2023 - I received a letter stating it was determined that I am responsible for the balance due. I contacted the fraud department in reference to the letter. I spoke to a fraud specialist named XXXX. She advised that no one tried to contact me. I requested an appeal and that the investigation should be reopened. XXXX advised that yes, she will submit a request for the case to be reopened and that someone will contact me in 4 business days. Again, I was advised that nothing will be reported to the credit bureaus. I requested a copy of the credit application again and was told this should be requested through the assigned investigator. XX/XX/2023 - I discovered that my credit score had dropped by XXXX points. After checking my credit report, I found that contrary to what I was told, Chase did indeed reported the outstanding balance to the credit bureaus. I called the fraud department again, I spoke with fraud specialist XXXX, he advised me that my case was closed on XX/XX/2023 and further that no one tried to contact me. I asked to speak with a manager and I was connected to supervisor XXXX. She was very condescending and confirmed the case had been closed and suggested at this point I should start making payments. She advised she will request the investigation be reopened based on me disagreeing with the decision ; however, she wants me to know the conclusion will be the same. She also advised I will not receive a copy of the credit application.

Supposedly the bank information they provided to us belong to that company name, but wasnt true. This account belongs to another person and not to a company. The company or person scam me and I dont know why the bank that this account belongs accepted the wire transfer if the Beneficiary name is different. Let me explain better. The bank information this company provided to us was : BENEFICIARYS BANK : CHASE BANK BENEFICIARYS BANK ADDRESS:XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, GA XXXX ABA ROUTING NUMBER TRANSIT NUMBER DOMESTIC WIRES : XXXX BENEFICIARYS ACCOUNT NUMBER : XXXX BENEFICIARYS COMPLETE NAME : XXXX XXXX BENEFICIARYS COMPLETE ADDRESS : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ACCOUNT TYPE : Business checking We put this information in the wire transfer instructions. After that the company received the funds, they provided to me a fake tracking number.They didnt dispatched a product we paid for and never again answered my emails after that. That is why I investigated personally in the cashier, this account number doesnt belong to this company. Belongs to a person named XXXX XXXX. So, I dont understand why the Chase Bank accepted the wire transfer if the information on it werent correct. I have the wire transfer receipt and all the information that support this.
