Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: I had two recent transactions that were refunded to my Chase Sapphire Reserve Credit Card. the first was from the merchant XXXX for {$130.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. the second was from the merchant XXXX XXXX for {$2000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. Both transactions were shown as pending in my Chase Sapphire account but are now completely gone. I called Chase and they have no record of the refunds. I also spoke to both merchants who have confirmed with proof that the transaction was completed on their end. I am not sure what to do at this point as no one seems to be able to help me, and this is a large sum of money for me that I need back in my account. Please let me know what to do from here.

Consumer Complaint: This is a follow up complaint to XXXX. I have contacted my Chase once again concerning the fraudulent charges on my credit card. They attempted to call me on XX/XX/XXXX but I was busy an unable to receive the call. I called back today ( XXXX ) to follow up. The first attempted call I was given no information. I was told my voice sounded robotic and asked to turn off my speaker phone. When this failed to resolve the problem I was told to hang up and try calling from another device. This has happened on previous calls to chase and seems to be a delay/frustration tactic to keep people from their money. When I called back ( from the same phone still on speaker ) there was no issue in being heard. I spoke with someone who told me the case had been '' reopened. '' Despite this case having been " reopened '' the last communication I received from them was a letter on XX/XX/XXXX stating the case had been concluded. I was told I would be contacted within four ( 4 ) business days. I requested to have information added to case about the information I was requesting. I requested all information regarding the charges ( specifically card data, signatures, video footage, location, signatures and itemized receipts ). I requested a record of when all cards and replacements for my account were sent out. I requested IP, Location, Device, and Date information on when the merchant for these fraudulent charges was added as a pre approved merchant for my card. In response I was told I would have to request this information from the fraud team directly and the only note they could add was that I was requesting " all available transaction data. '' This was woefully incomplete and a blatant attempt to continue hiding a malicious seizure of funds with incompetent investigation. I hope the CFPB will hold Chase responsible for the $ XXXX that have illegally taken from my account.

Consumer Complaint: Chase Bank closed and absorbed my savings account. When calling to ask why it was no longer opened they said that I need to visit a branch. I am nowhere near a branch and should not have to go anywhere to access my account. If I don't go to branch they will simply keep my money. Millions of chase customers especially those that may be older would potentially never know their account was simply gone.

Consumer Complaint: Ny truck was broken into on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX in XXXX. I filed a Place report the next evening because 1 Chase Debit Card Ending in XXXX, One Chase Debit Card Ending in XXXX and a Chase Credit Card Ending in XXXX as well as an insurance card, misc items were stolen, including a note book with my pin numbers and password. I also contacted Chase on XX/XX/XXXX about the stolen cards. The Gentlemen who took my report, apparently filed it under lost, even though I clearly stated my notebook with pins and passwords were stolen. I found out 4 unauthorized transactions were made, so I was given a credit on each account XXXX of XXXX and XXXX, He account had {$400.00} taken from it. which was reversed the next day. I called and spoke to a representative who said that it was misfiled and she then took all my information again. I was told that I should go to my local Chase Branch and send a copy of the police report, via fax, the branch would do. An Officer called me and she thought my 'chassis ' was atolen but explained no CHASE cards. She sent me the police report. I went to Chase and faxed over. I called chase and was told that wait 3 to 5 business days for them to examine report. Called back, on XX/XX/XXXX and was told they had not received reports. Give it another few business days. No reports. I received a letter XX/XX/XXXX and then XXXX from account XXXX and XXXX the claim would be closing due to pin number being used. I called and they said they only had paperwork on one account, I needed to resubmit for the other. I kept telling everyone I spoke to that my Pin number was in the notebook that was stolen. So were all my passwords not just for Chase bank but my XXXX all those things. When I went to leave for Chase to resubmit paperwork, found XXXX with no envelope in mailbox. Drove to chase, resubmitted police report. Called Police to update report as neighbor seen someone near my mailbox around XXXX, I did not know this until I returned home. I left I believe around XXXX, not positive. My Neighbor XXXX XXXX who again seen this person as he walked by while we were on the phone. I called Police officer with info, she stated not to jump to conclusions. His Wife seen same person near my fence calling my dogs name. I called Chase was told to call back Saturday for Update. Called Promptly Saturday XXXX and was told to call Tuesday. They told me they did not have information for one of the accounts again to resubmit both for investigation. I did. Meanwhile They have taken the money back out of my account AGAIN because they say my pin was used, even though i explained my pin and password book was stolen and it clearly is explained in police reports. I am overdrawn and chase keeps saying since your pin number was used on the transaction and WAS not written on your card, it must have been authorized. Consumer Complaint: I deposited a cashiers check at Chase bank and I tried to make a domestic wire to a crypto exchange to make interest on the money prior to me using it for home improvements. The money in my account was from a loan I was approved for and now they have suspended the account and are holding the mon ey for 20 business days. I have to make a loan payment on this money in less than 30 days. And I am not sure if my money will be released from Chase bank in time to make payment. Chase bank should have to pay my loan interest if their holding my funds up until the time the loan is due. How is this considered banking and are they making money by holding my funds for 20 business days. Please release my funds their not your funds Chase bank.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have previously filed a complaint # XXXX, with your agency in regard to Chase Bank NA . After the complaint I received further communication via mail and phone that indicates that the amount that was previously offered to me months back is not the same as of today XX/XX/2023. I believe that Chase is retaliating towards me for my initial complaint to your agency. Chase actions are predatory and deceptive and cause emotional stress to me in so many ways. I am a XXXXXXXX XXXX recipient and XXXX on a fixed income from the Social Security Administration. Now theyre attempting to resolve a debt at a higher amount that was previously offered to me several months ago. Chase Bank, NA responded back on XX/XX/2023, and they stated that deny any violation of any alleged laws and that they take complaints and claims of discrimination seriously. They also mentioned that they do not tolerate any form of discrimination as it is strictly against their policy and corporate culture. Well, I investigated and discovered 72 Federal Civil lawsuits under Americans with Disabilities act. When I reached out to you months back, they offered me for account # XXXX {$4600.00} for the alleged {$46000.00} and now theyre offering me {$11000.00} to settle this alleged debt. On account # XXXX they are offering the same amount XXXX for the alleged {$37000.00}. I called their XXXX XXXX XXXX and did not get anywhere with the representative that took my call. Chase Bank, NA is predatory and deceptive business operation, and the US Department of Justice is aware of their practice of business. What compassion do they have to any consumer who goes through a hard time? I know there is a consumer violation that is being violated by Chase Bank and this would not be the first time they have been cited in the past from consumers. XXXX XXXX impacted my life as well. I had many XXXX XXXX with the XXXX XXXX. My medical records will be provided for your review. I request your agencies to investigate this matter a second time. My next step is the Department of Justice. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Can't close your account
Consumer Complaint: My fianc and I closed our smallbusiness at the end of XXXX. So in the last week of XXXX ( XXXX ), I went to my neighborhood Chase branch and asked for them to close all my accounts affiliated with my business. This included my business checking account and credit card. The manager of the branch kindly helped me and confirmed that all accounts were closed after calling corporate to close them. From then on, I did not receive any professional notifications about my accounts until in XX/XX/XXXX I checked my credit score and saw it dropped over XXXX points. I called chase worried about fraud only to find out my credit card was reopened because companies like XXXX and XXXX accidentally renewed our contract. Due to that my bill went two months unpaid and the credit card went delinquent. Chase was able to refund all late fees and dispute the charges ( which we won ), but unfortunately my credit score would not be able to be fixed. I asked the branch to give me a letter saying it was a banking error and they kept leading me on and directing to different people, branches and corporate departments. The only message I ever received from Chase involving my business account was a text message that said your business credit card needs action. It did not mention Chase nor did it come from their text message line so I ignored it thinking it was spam ( especially since were warned of targeted messages like this and I was under the impression my account was closed ). I would like to get their attention to please fix my credit. I took the necessary immediate actions to resolve this including reaching out to credit bureaus like XXXX. Chase has not been helpful to revert the score and this is not the first story Ive heard like this.
