Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: I checked my account and noticed unauthorized transactions that totaled up to {$4500.00}. I instantly called chase bank and filed a claim. The specialist stated that I needed to show proof so then I spoke to another specialist and they noticed that there were atm withdrawals coming from a different states only minutes apart so he noted the strange activity on the claim but it was still denied. My debit card must have been compromised because I used it on XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX XXXX in XXXX, NY XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and an unauthorized withdrawal was made on XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX XXXX, location XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , NJ XXXX. I dont understand why my claim is being denied because it is impossible for me to get from New York to New Jersey in under 10 minutes.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/, during a visit to Chase Bank 's XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX, I was extended an offer for a Chase Private Client Checking account by Private Client Banker XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ID XXXX ). The promotion involved depositing a minimum of {$250000.00} into the account within 45 days and maintaining that balance for at least 90 days to receive a {$2000.00} bonus. Timeline and Actions : Initial Deposit : Made on XX/XX/, totaling {$250000.00}. This met the criteria of depositing the sum within 45 days of the offer. Follow-ups with Customer Service : Phone calls were made to Chase 's Private Client Service on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. An in-person branch visit was conducted on XX/XX/. Correspondence with Branch Manager and Private Banker : Phone call with Branch Manager XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/. Emails were sent to both XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX, XXXX. Unfulfilled Promises and Issues : Unfulfilled Callbacks and Emails : Despite multiple assurances, including from XXXX XXXX, promised callbacks and emails were not received. Lack of Transparency and Delays : On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX acknowledged that I am owed the {$2000.00} and mentioned that she filed a request with Chase corporate for the bonus to be issued. No progress has been made, nor has any correspondence been received to update me on the status. Unrealized Promised Actions : Despite promises from XXXX XXXX, I have not been assigned a new Private Client Banker, nor have I received any formal written follow-up. Claims : Unawarded Bonus : The {$2000.00} bonus remains unpaid despite fulfilling all the conditions outlined in the promotional offer. Interest Loss : Given the delay, I believe I am also entitled to interest on the {$2000.00} that should have been credited to my account. I consider the failure to honor the promotional offer and the subsequent lack of clear communication to be a breach of agreement. I expect immediate resolution, including awarding the promised {$2000.00} bonus as well as any interest accrued on that sum during the delay.

Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Didn't receive terms that were advertised
Consumer Complaint: Hello, On XX/XX/2022 I opened a checking account with Chase when they offered a {$400.00} bonus with requirements which I completed on time. The completed requirement they are denying me is the Direct Deposit which was completed on time, XX/XX/2022. See the offer & direct deposit from my employer attached using a company called XXXX ( a XXXX XXXX XXXX ). After closing the account I opened an account at XXXX XXXX & those deposits are noted as Direct Deposit. I spoke to a representative three times & walked into the bank. No one wanted to listen. I feel like I was lied to. Surely, they should be up on how employees/independent contractors are paid by using other means of direct deposits. Or, perhaps they just didn't feel the amount of the deposit wasn't high enough. There was no limit indicated by Chase. Thank you for your help! I sure am relieved to know you are here to protect consumers. You were very quick to respond with great results when I reached out when I helped my sister & a client who needed help with their loan modification.

Issue: Fraud or scam

Consumer Complaint: On Saturday XX/XX/XXXX, I messaged XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX marketplace regarding his newly listed lot of monster high dolls ( XXXX for {$500.00} ). We arranged to have me pick them up on Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX but unfortunately I could not so he agreed to ship them. It would be {$500.00} and I agreed. I was concerned of scam so he told me he had a mercari ( https : XXXX? XXXX ) I messaged him there and he verified it was definitely him from XXXX. So I was assured he also sent a photo of his profile. We tried XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX. Eventually he gave me his phone number and I just sent it through Chase XXXX. I sent him the {$500.00} on XX/XX/2023 in XXXX separate payments of {$250.00}. He sent me a tracking number and kept me updated until today where his XXXX marketplace account is gone. I messaged him on mercari to which he told me it wasnt him and he thought I was talking about XXXX. The tracking number is stated to go to me but its just all over the place. I called but they said theres nothing they can do about it since I authorized. But there should be a way to track down who did it.
