Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I purchased a vehicle from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX of XXXX with a cashiers check from my bank Chase. After six days with the vehicle it started having issues so I promptly returned it. I was mailed a cashiers check from XXXX in the exact amount I put down on the vehicle and deposited it into my Chase checking account. About two weeks later I went to Chase to make a cash withdraw and my card was not working so I schedule a meeting with a banker and was told that my account was closed for fraud. I asked multiple times why and what I could do and this bank had no answer. I proceeded to travel to at least five different Chase banks over the next two weeks, and received a different response each time. One bank said it was fraud and could not tell me anything else, one bank said it was because I needed a letter from my employer, but most of them did not tell me anything. I eventually walked into a Chase Bank in XXXX and decided to cause a scene, because at that point I was told so many different things and had not had access to my only bank account for almost two months. I only survived because my work provided me with meals and I borrowed money from a friend to put gas in my car. As usual the banker said they could not do anything and my account was closed for fraud, I started yelling and cursing at him and the bank manager came over. I pleaded my case to him through tears and he sat down and said he would spend the day getting this figured out with me. After about two hours of deliberation between his corporate office and XXXX, I got my bank account and my money back. At one point Chase 's corporate office stated that I would have to bring an employee from the dealership to their bank to verify my story. I was not able to pay any bills during this two month period and my credit score dropped XXXX points to the XXXX. I have not been able to get a car loan, persona loan, or even move since then. I have had to rely on making cash payments for everything. I deserve to have my credit score brought back to where it was before Chase ruined my life. When I entered the Chase Bank in XXXX I had planned to take my life if I was told the same thing again. For the first time in my life I had over {$10000.00} in my bank account and Chase decided to ruin me. I have called Chase 's corporate office about this dozens of times since then and they simply do no nothing. I had tried contacting lawyers but nobody wants to go against Chase. It just occurred to me this morning to trying contact government agencies. I will be sending this same message to the Federal Trade Commission and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Issue: Trouble during payment process
Subissue: Private mortgage insurance (PMI)
Consumer Complaint: When I closed on my house and signed my mortgage, I agreed to specific terms on what was needed to cancel PMI. Once I had paid down the to the agreed upon 80 % of my principal, I reached out to Chase - while I initially received the mortgage from XXXX, it was sold and Chase took over the administration of the loan. Chase sent me the paperwork, I filled it out and sent it in with a check to order an evaluation. They sent the check back with no notice or explanation. After several communications, I finally was able to get someone to tell me that I wasn't eligible to have my PMI cancelled. When my loan was sold, it was packaged as an investment loan and their policy was I needed to pay down to 67 % percent as it was an 'investment property '. This is my home and full time residence, which is classified as a duplex. Regardless, these are not the terms I agreed to when I signed my loan. My original terms ( attached ) state that PMI will be cancelled either when I reach 80 % and submit a written request ( which I did ), have good payment terms ( I've never been late and have overpaid every month ), am current on payments ( yes ) and the servicer requests and at my expense indication that the property has not deteriorated ( I send in a check for the XXXX and included expenses I've undertaken to improve the property since purchase ). I've also now reached the date that my loan was originally scheduled to reach 80 %- which was XX/XX/2023 and I'm still paying PMI. I've met the original terms to cancel PMI - both by making extra payments and reaching 80 % prior to the original date, and now have reached the scheduled date my PMI was supposed to be cancelled. Chase refuses to engage with me, just sending the same canned response each time I make a request. I have no choice in who services my loan, but I agreed to the PMI terms when I signed my loan. This bait and switch is not fair to me the consumer. I agreed to specific terms when I signed my mortgage and Chase has changed those terms with no notice - if I'd been notified, I would have paid my mortgage down to 80 % prior to the sale to avoid all of this.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, a man from the phone # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, impersonated a chase agent and asked if I approved a wire transfer for {$4800.00}. I said no and he tricked me into approving the transfer saying they were wanting to find the IP address of the person asking for the money and to input the name of the sender to reversal XXXX XXXX and that was enough to approve the transaction apparently. Chase did investigate and found that I did approve the transaction basically through this interaction with the fake Chase rep. I did some research and found that this a known scam and chase bank still lets the money to be transferred.
