Issue: Problems at the end of the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem related to refinancing
Consumer Complaint: I leased a new XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX through Chase Leasing. Near the end of the lease I decided to purchase the car and enter into a loan with Chase Auto Finance. The vehicle was sold on XX/XX/XXXX for {$47000.00}. The sales tax was capitalized into the loan and totaled {$290000.00}. The bill of sale was for vehicle {$50000.00}, which is the sum of the purchase price for the vehicle and the sales tax in Connecticut. I received the documentation necessary to re-register the vehicle in CT on or about XX/XX/XXXX. Included in the documentation was a check to the State of Connecticut for {$90.00}, representing the cost for the vehicle registration. They did not include the CT sales tax in that check which was dated XX/XX/XXXX. I have been calling every week since and Chase has yet to send a check for the sales tax which has been capitalized into the lease and I am paying principal and interest on. Meanwhile, my vehicle registration expired on or about XX/XX/XXXX and I am driving on an expired registration which makes me very nervous. I can not re-register the car until I have a check from Chase for the sales tax. I won't bother you with the endless and time consuming calls I have made to Chase, but I do want you to take this up as they have capitalized the sales tax into the loan and are not paying that amount to the State of Connecticut by check. They are forcing me to pay it TWICE to register my vehicle. WHICH I WON'T DO!! This massively inflates the return to Chase for this loan!!!!! This is a rapacious lending scheme!!! Imagine inflating the value of a loan over the value of the asset by adding sales tax and then not paying out the sales tax. This is CRIMINAL!! Moreover, if I get pulled over for a traffic violation, I will not be able to explain the lack of a current vehicle registration which Chase is SOLELY responsible for by not sending me a check, payable to the State of Connecticut, for {$290000.00}. I've attached relevant documents which show the sales price of the vehicle and the sales tax. I have also included the check for {$90.00} for the registration fee. During my frequent calls with Chase, they defend themselves by saying the {$90.00} is for sales tax. The Disbursement Request Detail ( which I have uploaded ) clearly shows that the are DMV fees. Please help.

Consumer Complaint: I recently decided to close my safety deposit box with Chase Bank in XXXX, California and I made an appointment for the following Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX. Unfortunately, I got sick with XXXX and was very XXXX, Saturday, XX/XX/XXXX, was my first opportunity to close my safety deposit account. I closed the safety deposit box account and I asked if I could have the {$70.00} annual rental fee reversed. She said she could not, the system would not allow her to do so. I asked to speak with her manager who said the same thing, the system would not allow them to reverse the fee. I asked them to give me back my safety deposit box since I am already paying for it for another year. They said I could not have my safety deposit back even though I paid for it since it was now closed in the system. I am asking to please either return my {$70.00} or allow me to keep my safety deposit box which I have now paid rental for another year. Or prorate the rental fee since the annual rental period started on XX/XX/2023, 2 days prior to the day I closed the account.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2023 I received an alert on my credit report of being past due 30 days with Chase auto finance for my XXXX lease payment. They told me my auto payment setting that have been in place for years were turned off. I was not notified of this by any of the contact information I provided to them. I asked Chase for evidence that they had told me my auto payment information had been deleted by them and they could not provide it. They said they have a call record but I did not talk to them on the phone. When asked for the recording or a transcript of the recording they refused. When I asked for proof of delivery of postal mail to me they refused. They would not provide me is any evidence I was told they turned off my payment settings so I did not discover late payment until it had already happened. I asked them to correct this and they said it's against the law to correct past reports. The refused to provide any explanation or evidence.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to lodge a formal complaint against Chase ( JPMorgan Chase Bank , N.A . ) and XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX for their handling of a transaction and subsequent dispute that I believe constitutes unfair and deceptive trade practices. In XX/XX/2023, I attended the XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, where I purchased dance shoes from XXXX XXXX XXXX. The merchant did not inform me that the sale was final. They did not have my size in stock, so they ordered a pair to be delivered to my home. Upon receiving and trying the shoes, I found they caused significant damage to my feet. When I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX for a refund, they initially refused but later agreed to process a refund upon receipt of the returned shoes. I complied, sending the shoes back at my expense and providing them with the tracking ID. However, the situation escalated when I received an email from XXXX XXXX XXXX instructing me not to send the shoes and stating that the return window had closed, a condition never previously mentioned. Furthermore, they demanded additional payment for the return of the shoes. Feeling defrauded, I contacted Chase to report the incident and seek a chargeback. Chase initially asked me to await a letter for further instructions. After a delay and miscommunication regarding the letter 's delivery, I was informed that my case was closed and I could no longer submit any evidence. This situation has left me without the product, out of pocket for the initial purchase amount of {$210.00}, and feeling utterly disregarded by both Chase and XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am seeking your intervention in this matter to : 1 ) Investigate the practices of XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding their sales and return policies. 2 ) Review Chase 's handling of my dispute, which I believe was not conducted with due diligence. 3 ) Assist in recovering my funds and addressing the consumer rights violations I have experienced. Enclosed are copies of my correspondence with Chase and XXXX XXXX XXXX along with any relevant documentation that supports my case. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services will take the necessary actions to rectify this situation and prevent similar incidents from occurring to other consumers.

Consumer Complaint: Since CHASE cancelled my on-line access to my accounts, I not longer have access to my checking account or credit card records so I will describe my situation with approximate dates. IN late XXXX I deposited a significant amount of checks at the Chase ATM in XXXX XXXX. The ATM ate an unknown number of endorsed checks and immediately shut down with no receipt. Banking staff could not help I field a complaint with CHASE XXXX XXXX XXXX. CHASE gave me a credit for the missing checks, and then debited my account for the over credit. However CHASE refuses to provide the documentation and images for the missing checks. XXXX closed their case refusing to provide the requested documentation. I filed a second case with CHASE XXXX. Again the case was closed, yet CHASE stil refused to provide with any explanation in writing for the DEBIT. They want me to take their word for it. On XX/XX/XXXX I did received correspondence from CHASE with images of CHECKS which WERE NOT IN DISPUTE. They sent me images of Checks that were already preiously deposited AND NOT the missing checks. I replied to their letter the same day again requesting the images for the correct checks. CHASE refused to answer. My many emails to CHASE XXXX office have also gone unanswered. And, if a case of bullying, CHASE has cut off ALL of my online access to both my checking account and my credit cards accounts causing me significant financial injury
