Consumer Complaint: I attempted to reach them a few times and request evidence of proprietorship yet they neglected to send me the fundamental documentation to demonstrate that I actually own this record. This doesn't have a place with me with these specialists/leasers.

Consumer Complaint: I had a collection on my credit report from about 4 years ago from XXXX XXXX and electric in which belongs to my mother. I have been disputing it ever since it was originally added to my credit report because it does not belong to me. On XX/XX/XXXX my dispute finally was accepted and the account was deleted, the creditor at this time was called XXXX XXXX XXXX. About a week ago ( around XX/XX/XXXX ) the collection was added back to credit report after it being OVER A YEAR and now has a new creditor called I C System. Now the collection is saying it was opened in XX/XX/XXXX which is totally inaccurate from when it was originally on my account and i would have to wait another 7 years for it to drop if it is not resolved. Also it was deleted originally for false information and its been over a year why was it added again with a new creditor a year later. Im highly upset.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Consumer Complaint: IC Systems has violated 809 ( a ) of the FDCPA, in that the company identified has failed to provide written notice of alleged debt or the contents surrounding the alleged debt. The alleged debt just showed up on my credit report without prior notice. IC Systems did not attempt to contact me prior to reporting this alleged debt as a collection to the credit bureaus. As of this date, XX/XX/2021, IC Systems has not provided any initial communication in connection with this alleged debt. Furthermore, I have never heard of this company, nor have I engaged in any business with IC Systems. IC Systems is attempting to collect and allege debt in the amount of {$150.00}, as indicated on my credit report. IC Systems NEVER once mailed me any information pertaining to this alleged debt. IC Systems has also violated 15 U.S. Code 1692g pertaining to the validation of debts because, as a consumer, I was never given the opportunity to ask for validation of the debt. In addition, IC Systems is also in violation of the 15 U.S. Code 1692c surrounding communication in connection with debt collection which states without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, a debt collector may not communicate with a consumer in connection with the collection of any debt. I am insisting that this erroneous information not only be removed from the credit report, but my personal information be expunged from all data systems associated with IC Systems. IC Systems is now in violation of the FDPCA and the U.S. Code, they are subject to fines of {$1000.00}, which I may collect by filing a claim in small claims court. I intend to follow through with said suit if I do not hear back from IC Systems within 10 days. IC Systems should also be aware that reporting such invalidated information to the major credit reporting bureaus may constitute as defamation of character, as the negative remarks on my credit profile prevent me from benefits associated with a good profile. I am sure that legal staff will agree that non-compliance with this request could present IC Systems with legal inconvenience with the FTC and other state and federal agencies.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, my husband and I applied for a mortgage. Upon applying, we received a copy of our credit reports. One of the collection debts listed on my credit report is for a utility bill with the the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX company for {$800.00} from XX/XX/XXXX. The debt collector is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Account # XXXX ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a payment on the debt account in the amount of {$600.00}, via credit card. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a final payment in the amount of {$200.00}, via debit card. The debt was PAID IN FULL. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a notification from XXXX that a new debt collector was reporting a collections account for the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX company in the amount of {$800.00}. This debt has been paid. XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX sold a debt that was paid off. The duplicate account, now owned by I C System Inc ( Account # XXXX ), is negatively impacting my credit score, and I no longer qualify for a mortgage due to the impact the collection account had on my FICO score and credit worthiness to lenders. I paid the {$800.00} debt to XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, but the payments were not reported, and the collection account is still listed, twice, on my credit report. The account still shows past due, and is being inaccurately reported.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a collection notice dated XX/XX/XXXX from IC System for a delinquent XXXX account in the amount of {$470.00}. The notice stated in part, " If you notify this office within 30 days from receiving this notice that you dispute the validity of this debt ... this office will obtain verification of the debt or obtain a copy of judgment and mail you a copy of such judgment or verification. '' Having no knowledge of the debt, and knowing my XXXX account is in good standing, I wrote to IC System and XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX informing them I have no knowledge of the debt, that I was disputing the validity of the debt and asked them to provide copies of all purported unpaid XXXX bills for me to examine and verify their validity. '' I sent the letters to XXXX & IC System certified mail and received USPS confirmation of their delivery on XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX respectively. Neither business wrote back. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a second letter to XXXX & IC System saying I never received a reply to my first letter and asking yet again for proof of the debt. Again, I sent the letters certified mail and received USPS proof of delivery. Instead of sending me proof of the debt, IC System reported this unsubstantiated debt to the credit bureaus, TWO DAYS AFTER receiving my second letter. An account was created on my credit file as " charge off '' and is now is now showing as a derogatory account on my report and negatively impacting my score.
