Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Old information reappears or never goes away
Consumer Complaint: I was reviewing my credit report the other day and noticed that my XXXX score had dropped several points. I check my credit reports 2-3 times per week and receive email alerts with any changes in my credit file on all 3 credit bureaus. This score decrease came out of nowhere, so I started investigating. Upon examining my report in search of what may have caused this sudden and unexpected drop in my score, I discovered that a collection account had been reported by IC System claiming that I owe XXXX XXXX XXXX {$1100.00}. First of all, I have NEVER EVER had an account with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX EVER. Secondly, this collection was REINSERTED into my credit report after it had already been DELETED OVER A YEAR AGO because it was incorrect and false reporting. Now, over a year after it was deleted from my credit reports, it is suddenly making a reappearance and decreasing my scores. THIS IS NOT ALLOWED. You CAN NOT reinsert a collection account into somebody's credit report AFTER it had already been deleted by the credit bureaus due to it being INCORRECT as I DO NOT owe this debt. I will NOT tolerate this slanderous, defamatory, and FALSE information on my credit reports. I work EXTREMELY hard to maintain an excellent credit rating and my wife and I are in the process of preparing to build a new home, so I will NOT allow some bottom feeding, money hungry collection agency to SLANDER my good credit with FALSE information and interfere with MY life plans. Again, this collection account was DELETED from my credit reports by the credit bureaus over a year ago because it was being falsely reported as I have NEVER done business with XXXX XXXX XXXX or XXXX ( credit bureaus do not delete collection accounts without valid reason ) and now these people from IC System are reporting it AGAIN after it has been long since deleted from my credit reports, which is NOT allowed. If this slanderous, incorrect collection is not IMMEDIATELY removed from my credit reports, I will be proceeding with legal action and will be seeking monetary damages from IC System for REPEATED false credit reporting. This CFPB complaint is just the very first action that I am taking in order to allow IC System a brief widow of opportunity to rectify this very serious matter. Otherwise, I can promise that I WILL be taking much more drastic action against IC System if this slanderous collection remains on my credit reports. A screen shot of this collection from my XXXX credit report is attached to this complaint.

I paid Creedence the {$170.00} with my XXXX credit card on XX/XX/XXXX ... ... because I did not want to lower my credit score. In late XXXX, I contacted credit bureau and informed them this debt was paid. I check my credit report a few weeks later and it showed the debt was paid. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from IC system saying I owed XXXX for the same account number as the one I paid before to XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX I called XXXX and spoke with XXXX XXXX at XXXX EST. She maintained that this was still a debt owed after I informed her I already paid. She said they were going to " ruin " my credit if I did not immediately pay them {$120.00}

Consumer Complaint: I have been dealing with an ongoing stubborn account, I.C. SYSTEM INC. This account is a closed account and has a late payment on it. This is a violation under the FDCPA that a closed account can not have late payments. Furthermore, I submitted a dispute asking them to send me the original signed contract with my signature on it, which they have failed to do. I then sent in a 30 Day Demand after 60 days letting them know that they failed to respond to me, and if they do not respond within that certain time frame under the FCRA my account has to be deleted. STILL NOTHING! I then sent in a complaint to the XXXX, who told me they were unable to identify my account... okay if you can't identify it... erase it!!! At this point, this is my last step before filing for ligitation.

Consumer Complaint: This account was linked to my XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX CA. I called XXXX a while back and closed the account when I moved out of the home. XXXX had my wrong email address, which they admitted to and they failed to update my forwarding address. The collection company failed to send me notice of adverse reporting. I recently got new service with XXXX, who only then told me an additional account was in collection and gave me the collection companys number, I immediately tried calling the collection company who told me that they couldnt find my account in their system and that I had to wait a month. Unfortunately after that time the account was already reported to my credit report. And now the collection company states they wont remove the account from my credit report. This has destroyed my perfect credit score and Im unable to finance properties for my real estate business.

Consumer Complaint: I am XXXX XXXX and Im submitting the complaint myself and there is no third party involved. After recently obtaining a copy of my consumer report I became aware that I.C. System, Inc. is reporting an " alleged '' debt to my consumer report. In accordance with my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act I am disputing this account and requesting a validation of debt ( 15 USC 1692g Sec. 809 ( b ) ). I am NOT requesting verification but I am requesting for VALIDATION and PROOF OF CLAIM. I request that their office provide me with evidence that I am obligated to pay them. Continuing to report this debt without properly validating is a violation of the FCRA ( Fair Credit Reporting Act ; 15 USC 1681 ). You have 30 days to respond to this request or this debt will be considered invalid and the demand for removal from your reporting agency will be required. I need this problem resolved as soon as possible as this is a negative reflection to my consumer report. I.C. System Inc. received all documents and supporting evidence of my complaint through the mail on XX/XX/2021.
