Consumer Complaint: I applied for a refi in XXXX XXXX. Freedom Mortgage has been completely unorganized. They continually are switching my account to different employees ... Losing my documents.. Requesting and re-requesting documents. They have lost information. It has now come down to where they wo n't honor my locked in interest rate and want to charge me additional fees. Freedom has caused the delay, with hiring and firing and losing documents. No one is on the same page. It has been 6 months. One person will tell me that the Quick Claim Deed does not prove that I am not financially responsible for another home in my name.. While another will tell me different. I am completely frustrated and feel like they are pushing me around because the rate has changed and want to charge me more fees. I have all emails since XXXX XXXX and all documents that I have provided up til now XXXX XXXX. Is there something that can be done? If I drop the refi.. They will bill me for appraisal and I will lose out on rate???

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2016 we were contacted by Freedom Mortgage stating we were pre approved for re-financing our current FHA loan. They stated that we qualified based on fha guidelines and that we would not be denied. We worked with them for 4 months and finally after XXXX loan processor changes and multiple hard inquiries on our credit history, it was submitted to underwriting. It was denied. They stated the reasoning for the denial as not enough funds to cover closing ( we had over {$2000.00} in escrow from our current loan, as well as money saved aside for closing ). They also stated we had to many past due or delinquent accounts on our credit. ( they knew of this XX/XX/XXXX as we had conversations about it but they said it was n't an issue since our mortgage was n't past due ever ). They also stated that FHA guidelines that pre approved us and qualified us were not in place anymore due to new administration and laws passed since the presidential change.

Consumer Complaint: We have been working with Freedom Mortgage company for 5 months to assume a VA loan. Freedom Mortgage has repeatedly requested documents that we sent, then resent per request and received by them months ago. We believe that this is Elder Abuse because of the our ages, XXXX and XXXX. Our lives have been put on hold because of this situation. Daily we have to check the emails, we have written letters and made numerous phone calls to XXXX different loan agents who were identified as handling this loan. We are unable to complete this purchase and have made XXXX extensions of the escrow to date. There is nothing more we can produce that they do n't already have, They sent a conditional loan approval 3 months ago and we have also signed a Borrower 's Authorization. Yesterday we got another letter requesting copies of more documents that we sent to them XXXX XXXX. How can we proceed to resolve all of this abuse? .

Consumer Complaint: My refinance with Freedom Mortgage started XXXX XXXX, XXXX and was on schedule to close by XXXX XXXX, XXXX. XXXX XXXX contacted me with a notice of incomplete application on XXXX XXXX, XXXX and we talked about documents that were suddenly required. Certain documents were not fully explained to me like the XXXX, I was told I could get a 15 year loan and only pay {$25.00} more than what I am paying now, which turned out to be a total lie, and emails back and forth between XXXX and I were unproductive because she would not answer my questions. Over 2 weeks I fought to get the documents to XXXX, and my email was not working properly and I was not given any other alternative to try to get the documents to her. Her assistant XXXX was short with me and would not originally give me XXXX email address and I had to call the following week, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, and get it from someone else. Around XXXX XXXX, I had no update on my loan so I called and complained and my loan was transferred to another officer. The importance and ins and outs of a couple additional documents needed that I knew nothing about, were explained to me. However, now on XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I receive another notice of incomplete application stating that we need to " post XXXX payment to satisfy aging requirement ''. I left a message with the loan officer because if that means we have to pay XXXX AND XXXX before we can close, this is ridiculous. We have NEVER missed a payment on our mortgage. We had to cancel our XXXX vacation because we were looking forward to having that skipped mortgage payment, and were hoping to take the vacation in XXXX, the only other month we can get away this year, and now they are pulling this? When we refinanced in XXXX, it was fast and easy. This has been a nightmare, stressful, dissapointing, and angering. I believe XXXX and XXXX 's attitude and lack of care, help, and concern have ruined our chances of getting this refinance done in a timely and orderly manner.

Consumer Complaint: I switched from a loan company to it 's parent company. I chose to pay over double what I needed to working on paying off my loan early. Every month I have sent in my payment with a note saying to put the extra amount to principle. For over 16 months, this has never happened. They make two monthly payments instead of putting money to principle. I have talked to multiple managers, but can not solve this unbelievably easy issue. Also, when I do call in to have it corrected, it has at times, taken up to 3 weeks for them to do this. This adds up to months of interest I am paying, when I should not. I do not think I should have to call in every month to correct such a simple problem, but they for some reason can not correct this issue.

Consumer Complaint: We were going to get a loan through Freedom Mortgage, but after dealing with them and reading all the information from BBB and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau reviews we decided not to go with them. After we told them no, the mortgage agent just kept going and it turned into a living nightmare for us. The phone calls and emails became so crude and nasty we decided this was not for us. We told them to stop the loan Saturday XX/XX/2017 in and email and the loan officer refused our request. They continued to process the loan and connect us with closing on XX/XX/2017 through another email. If you are considering these people run the other way, read every thing you can on them, protect yourself and your family home. They have so many complaints against them and call the BBB, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and read their reviews and findings. Don't take my word take theirs. Threatening us if we file a complaint, they will sue. Don't threaten me! Last time I checked this is a freedom of speech country and we are entitle to our opinions, especially if it is to protect others.

Consumer Complaint: Our mortgage was sold to Freedom mortgage soon after we closed. As soon as they got over, all XXXX broke loose : 1. We were told as soon as the mortgage balance dropped below 80 % of original loan, we were going to be able to recast the loan and get rid of the escrow. We called several times. Every time we called, the person at the end of the line was telling us a different story. We have several names of people that we called and we can produce evidence/records of these calls. - we sent our request in writing for the above things to happen - we sent the payment in, plus the recast fee ( they actually double charged the recast fee ) - Our loan balance reached below 80 % on XX/XX/XXXX. However, they did not recast our loan until XX/XX/XXXX after calling numerous times. - We were told the PMI was going to be removed when the loan ratio dropped below 80 %. Even the end of year documents received show that should have happened AUTOMATICALLY under the Homeowners Protection Act of XX/XX/XXXX, but although the loan ratio is now ~36 % we are still paying escrow and PMI. - they paid our property taxes twice, first in amount of {$3000.00} ( which is correct based on the paperwork received from the county ) and another time in amount of {$3100.00}, which there is no evidence of what this amount is. The end of the year document lists this as " XXXX '', however the amount for school was already included in the {$3000.00}. We are at the end of our rope. We do n't want to call anymore only to be told that things are going to happen soon ... .but they never will ... Please help

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage company Freedom mortgage can not seem to be able to pay my property taxes on time. Where I live my property taxes have to be paid before the XXXX of the year and at the city before the XXXX of the year. Freedom Mortgage does n't seem to understand this or care. Last year they cut the check on the XXXX, but did n't mail them until the XXXX of the following month. This year they did n't issue the check until the XXXX of XXXX and the city did n't get them until the XXXX of XXXX. Because of the fact they can not get my tax check out in the mail before the end of the year I can not claim my property taxes on my income tax return. When I called about this they said as long as they get them to the city before the XXXX of XXXX they are not late and there is no issue. They just do n't get the income tax issue and they are a mortgage company? One person there told " What is the big deal, just claim it next year ''. Another told me that they issued the check on the XXXX of XXXX and mailed them on the XXXX. How can that even happen!! All I ask of them is to issue and mail out my property tax check before the end of the year so that I can rightfully claim them on my income tax return that I escrowed them in.

Consumer Complaint: I was working with Freedom Mortgage on a mortgage refinance. Every time I was asked for information, I always responded with 24 hours of the request. After not hearing anything for quite some time, I reached out to my loan processor to ask for the status. He stated my loan went dormant because they were awaiting a csubordination with the title company. Due to internal priorities at Freedom Mortgage, loan refinancing takes a backseat to new purchases. My loan was not a priority for them and it clearly showed. To make things worse, I received an email ( not a phone call ) from my loan processor 3 weeks after my loan had been closed stating that I need to reapply.

Consumer Complaint: This letter was sent to Freedom Mortgage after numerous verbal attempts to get them to reverse the late charges they assessed me. I sent them numerous proofs that I had made the XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX mortgage payments on time. XX/XX/XXXX Freedom Mortgage Re : Loan XXXXXXXXXX Mortgage Holder XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX In XX/XX/XXXX, you notified me that I had not paid my mortgage payment on time. After this, I provided you with a copy of my XXXX bank statements for XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX. They showed that I had paid my mortgage payment on time in XXXX and XXXX through my online banking. I subsequently sent you a " proof of payment '' from my online banking account. When I made my XXXX payment, you applied it to my XXXX payment and then notified me that I was delinquent in my XXXX payment. After it became apparent that you were not going to process my XXXX payment, I voided it and sent you a replacement payment. If I had written you a check and mailed it to you, I would have no proof of payment on time. If the check was not delivered by the postal service, I would not know that until you informed me. If a payment check was misplaced or lost at your firm, you would consider me to not have made the payment. Obviously, I would not know that had occurred either. Neither of us can determine what happened to the online payment for XX/XX/XXXX. However, I have supplied you with proof that I fulfilled my obligation by making a timely payment of my XX/XX/XXXX mortgage payment. You charged me a {$110.00} late fee which you took out of my normal " additional principal curtailment '' payment. I would like that fee reversed and have the {$110.00} applied to my principal. Your refusal to do that would reflect very poorly on your business ethics. XXXX
