Consumer Complaint: I got an offer in the mail from Freedom Mortgage at Freedom Mortgage XXXX Ohio XXXX I applied for an adjustable rate mortgage on my home they sold me on this .Here is the problem they sent a closer to my home to close the loan and he saw that my daughter was living in my home with me and he suggested I put her on the title as she was not on it, Time passed and I needed to refinance and so I began to seek a new loan and they denied me the loans based on my daughter having judgments against her and now she is on the title I live on a fixed income and can not afford the loan now soon the rates will adjust and go up. I blame the person who they sent to close the loan for advising me to put my daughter on the loan. My health is not good and I only make so much money and would have qualified for a reverse mortgage except for this issue and in addition I can not get through to any one at Freedom Mortgage so I hoped to contact you and you can contact them to see how this can be resolved. thank you XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I am upset because Freedom Mortgage is refusing to review my new modification packet. Freedom mortgage approve me for a trial offer back on XXXX. I did not take the trial because Freedom mortgage refused to do an appraisal of my property they use a old appraisal in order to modify my loan. Therefore I was fighting the value of my property, because is severely under water and I believe I can be provided a more affordable trial payment based on the current market value. I have paid for my own CMA however Freedom Mortgage refused to take it into consideration. My intentions are to keep my house with an affordable mortgage payment, I want for Freedom Mortgage to start a new review so I can keep my house and become current once again.

My spouse is not a co-borrower but they told me they need his financial information and then they told me I did not need to and now again they want the information.

Consumer Complaint: According to my latest credit report, FREEDOM Mortgage has reported payments missing on mortgage account ( XXXX ) Credit report shows delinquent 30-59 days, 60 days and 90 days FREEDOM Mortgage reported delinquencies have resulted in a dramatic drop in credit scores. I find these delinquencies appalling and outrageous. Due to the numerous setbacks/delays and FREEDOM Mortgage authorization to miss two payments during closing on refinancing application, XX/XX/2016 Freedom Mortgage informed me that they could not proceed with closing until account had been brought up to date. I had been led that I was authorized to at least two payments, while preparing to close on refinance application. During this process their had been numerous setback/delays, with no explanation. Due to FREEDOM Mortgage 's unwillingness to process refinance application in timely manner, having been given the run around, having been deceived on several occasions and Title company continuous delays in approving subordination, I had been forced to enroll into the repayment plan for six months. I was in compliance with they terms and conditions. I even sent documents to support authorization to miss mortgage payments. Instead of FREEDOM Mortgage admitting that they may have been wrong and proceed to reassess the situation has proceeded to report negative comments on credit report which has resulted in a dramatic decrease in score.

Consumer Complaint: This is about Freedom Mortgage Corp. For all of XX/XX/XXXX I have been giving the monthly mortgage premium payments to a supervisor in the Finance Dept . to process as their online website had so many glitches and inconsistencies which made it extremely difficult to even access information far less to make the payment. For the most part, I was not able to log in at all. I have been receiving tons of mails and calls about re-financing which I kept on telling this company that we were NOT going to refinance as we already had a very good VA rate. Each letter showed a completely different mailing address - most of which were just for correspondence purposes. The last payment I was able to give to THIS supervisor was for XX/XX/XXXX and was told by him NOT to accept any more payments for XX/XX/XXXX & going forward. I had never defaulted on any payments for this loan for the past 6 years although the loan kept moving from one company to another without knowledge or authorization- resulting in all kinds of website & customer service issues. I do n't believe the proper escrow amounts were ever transferred as we were NOT consulted in any of those internal transactions. After multiple efforts of trying to reach Supervisor XXXX - who is located somewhere in new Jersey- via emails & phone calls, he eventually returned one of my calls to tell me that he had been in training as he was being put into sales and he had been told NOT to take any more payments from me unless I would provide them with auto payments via a checking account. He responded only after I threatened to take them to court for " Refusing Payment " to get me to refinance and that a judge may just consider the debt satisfied if they continue to refuse payment as it has happened in the past. I have every email from the inception of XX/XX/XXXX problems with THIS mortgage company which had resulted in a supervisor handling the matter personally. I went ahead and read the numerous reviews about Freedom 's scams with folks & payment issues, and I realized that I was not alone with this situation. In spite of all my efforts and emails and phone calls - both made & received - to have someone take the payment over the phone which was how it had been paid for the past year, everyone I speak with in the customer service blatantly told me that they could NOT take payments over the phone but they were calling me to let me know that the payment was overdue and was subject to additional fees and charges. NOW, I am receiving calls from Collections and have already gotten a mail threatening foreclosure. There is NO checking account to give anyone as the checking account had been closed due to fraudulent activity and the full payments were being made religiously every month with a credit card. There were no issues with this in XX/XX/XXXX except NOW, they have refused to take the payments in XX/XX/XXXX unless we refinance and are also threatening foreclosure NOW. I have never heard back from XXXX so I have stopped emailing & calling as I am not even sure if he still works there. I have even walked them thru the process of the things that were wrong with their website and all I was being told that they were still working on it as they had new IT people. I heard that for a whole year. The website still shows NO improvement. I am unable to attach anything due to a problem with XXXX??? I can try to copy to these columns as opposed to attaching. 1 ) In XX/XX/XXXX, the website showing error & unable to accept payment.All emails from XX/XX/XXXX & onward resulting in NO communication going forward.

Consumer Complaint: I have submitted 23 disputes to FREEDOM Mortgage and they have been non responsive to my many concerns related to the processing of my refinance application. I have received several letters from FREEDOM Mortgage stating to allow up to thirty ( 30 ) business days for a response. The response time has expired on letters received as far back as XXXX 2016. I have even sent several emails on these issues. All to no avail. I have contacted CFPB, Better Business Bureau, Department of Veterans Affairs and my attorney. Whys has these organization allowed FREEDOM Mortgage to continue to be non responsive to their customers, especially one who is an XXXX Military Veteran with over 30 years of service. FREEDOM Mortgage unwillingness to corporate has lead me to enroll into a repayment program. FREEDOM Mortgage insisted that they did not authorize me to miss mortgage payments during the refinance processing. I provided proof and was told that they did not authorize missed mortgage. FREEDOM Mortgage even stated to CFPB that they did not authorize me to miss mortgage payments. Claiming that documents looked suspicious. Customer may have prepared. I found that their comments were appalling and outrageous. I have attached documents on unresolved issues, numerous complaints against FREEDOM Mortgage.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage holder, has attempted to, and is presently trying to, fraudulently foreclose on my home, doing so for years now, using various extreme predatory lender tactics. They are Freedom Mortgage, my loan number is XXXX, their phone number is : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The property address is XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, CA XXXX. I was referred to you by my US Congressman XXXX XXXX that sent an inquiry on my behalf to you yesterday. Freedom Mortgage is colluding with our homeowner 's insurance provider, XXXX XXXX, to literally steal our home. This has gone on for at least two years and is out of control. A couple of months ago, our lender, and our insurer, nearly succeeded on foreclosing on our VA Home loan without us even knowing about it. Our home has been gutted down to the bare wood underlayment subflooring with several walls, ceilings, and fixtures demolished. The home is obviously unlivable, and it is dangerously contaminated. There was a break-in while we were gone, blood and XXXX sprayed everywhere through our home, the intruder died there, the police investigated and emailed us that he had been dead there for several days. We requested to our lender XXXX Freedom Mortgage XXXX that they allow us to not pay our mortgage till the home could be repaired or replaced. They refused to cooperate, months later they finally sent us forms so we could fill them out to stop having to make payments, we submitted them, they vaguely claimed to have lost the application and or lied and said they never received them. The lender has several times transferred our mortgage to other entities, other companies, then gotten back to them, to cause confusion and failure of automatic payments to go through. It has been a huge battle for several years just to get them to cooperate so we can have automatic payments so we do not fail to make a payment. Because they have moved our mortgage around so much, when we make a payment, either automatically or over the phone, it does not go through. We call them and they say they received the payment, but later they claim they did not. They often charge late fees as part of this elaborate scam, that we have to fight them about too. They are always hostile and provoking on the phone. Just like our lender, our insurer cancelled our policy in secret a few months ago, did bizarre things in conjunction with our lender to block our payments, instead of the lender working properly to make sure we had insurance. They both create paper trails that make it look like they are cooperating but they are not. Our insurer sent a Claims Adjuster to our home that we met there for his inspection. He had 4 other people with him, from a crime scene clean up company XXXX called XXXX XXXX as there was a police report on file of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Our home can not be remediated of XXXX XXXX. The Adjuster was hostile and dangerous acting and would not leave and let us lock up the property. We had to call 911, two sheriff 's cruisers arrived almost immediately, they all tried to con the cops into arresting me but one of the cops that knew me saw through his plan. He had already lied on the 911 tape to dispatch over my cellular speaker phone about his description and color of his car. He had a XXXX but kept it in his waste band under his shirt most of the time. Our home was taken over by force like that because our insurer, in cahoots with our lender, do anything and everything to criminally take our home from us. We have a low fixed interest rate, about {$70000.00} equity in our home. The lender has tried to get me arrested, conspiring to wrongfully take our home, knowingly exploiting my extreme 100 % service-connected XXXX from honorable war service in the XXXX XXXX XXXX. Freedom Mortgage is vicious, sneaky and predatory.
