Consumer Complaint: I am filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) to address a concerning issue related to a recent dispute I filed with Experian. I submitted supporting documentation in my initial dispute regarding my XXXX XXXX account, disputing the accuracy of reported information. However, upon attempting to initiate a second dispute, I received a response stating, " Looks like you've already filed a dispute for this item. Under Section 611 ( a ) ( 3 ) ( A ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, we won't process a duplicate dispute unless you provide new, relevant information. '' This response is perplexing, as I have not previously disputed this specific item. Furthermore, the statement fails to acknowledge the supporting documentation submitted in the initial dispute. I am filing this complaint to seek a fair and transparent resolution. The generic response from Experian lacks clarity and fails to address the specifics of my dispute. I request a thorough review of my documentation and accurate handling of this matter in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
