Consumer Complaint: I am writing to bring to your attention a serious matter regarding the handling of my credit report. I have experienced persistent issues with the presence of fraudulent items on my report, and despite multiple attempts to rectify the situation, these items have not been adequately addressed. I am deeply concerned about the impact this has on my creditworthiness and overall financial standing. I have attached supporting documentation, including police reports, affidavits of fraud, and any other relevant materials, to substantiate the fraudulent nature of these items. I kindly request that your agency conducts a thorough investigation into these matters and takes immediate action to remove the fraudulent items from my credit report. I understand that the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) requires credit reporting agencies to ensure the accuracy of the information they report, and the presence of fraudulent items is a direct violation of this regulation. Issue: Problem with fraud alerts or security freezes
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I m trying to life a current credit Freeze from Experian. The information used to create the account and freeze my credit has changed The original request was from before 2000. In attempting to lift the freeze, I must change the password. To do that I have to receive a text/phone call to the number associated with the account, This number was a land line that has since been disconnected. I have been navigating the customer support call-in but have been unable to resolve or even speak with a representative. This is one of the last steps to complete a mortgage and the inability to resolve will cause financial harm. There needs to be a regulation requiring the credit bureaus to have a number with which a consumer can speak directly with a customer service representative. The fine for offenses needs to be severe enough that the company will not ignore.
