Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX XXXX after being denied for an apartment, I pulled my Consumer credit report and found that possible violations of my consumer rights according to TITLE 15. A XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX is negatively and inaccurately reporting an old credit account I had with them as a CHARGE OFF Status on my consumer credit report. This account was a XXXX XXXX XXXX funded by me, the account holder. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX is reporting against this account as if they suffered some type of damages. They did not loan any monies to fund this account. All monies were provided by the account holder when the account was opened. XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX did not send me at 1099C if they did Charge off this debt. XXXX XXXX XXXX is reporting my performance on this account which was a XXXX XXXX. I was not given any notice before this information was added to my consumer report. The reporting of this inaccurate information is harming me and hindering me from obtaining services on credit. Per 18 USC 1028 ( a ) Since I did not give permission for them to provide this information to my consumer credit report, this would be considered Identity Theft.

I am writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding the numerous attempts I have made to correct a persistently late open account with your company. Despite my continuous efforts to address this matter, the issue remains unresolved, causing significant inconvenience and dissatisfaction. I would like to bring to your attention the following instances where I have sought to rectify the late open account : Despite these repeated efforts on my part, the late open account issue persists, and I have yet to receive a satisfactory resolution. Since I am sure I did not owe anything so I checked the company named as " XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX '' as soon as possible. Information showed here : Company : XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ; Address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ; Phone : ( XXXX ) XXXX Activity : XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Collections ) Balance Date : XX/XX/XXXX ; Balance : {$310.00}. I called them quickly on XXXX, and they told me they can not find any record in their system including my name and my date of birth, so I do not need to worry about that and could submit a dispute report with Experian , which should be fine. Therefore, I called Experian to submit a dispute report on XXXX quickly and they opened a case for me to investigate the thing. However, on XXXX XXXX I received the result from Experian, saying the Collection would be remained, since " The company that reported the information has certified to Experian that the information is accurate. This item was not changed as a result of our processing of your dispute. Please review your report for the details ''. Then I looked for the details, and I saw this report showed XXXX names, XXXX is mine, " XXXX XXXX '', the other is " XXXX XXXX '' I can not recognize. I promise and make sure I never used other names and never know the " XXXX XXXX ''. Thus, I called the Experian firstly to ask for the reason of the dispute failure. However, the person was indifferent and said nothing they can do and it is not their responsibility to link XXXX names together. Also, they told me because I was associated with XXXX in XXXX XXXX before, so it might be the reason I owe the money. However, I moved from XXXX apartment XXXX years ago, which is so ridiculous and irresponsible. Even though, I called XXXX to check whether I need to pay any money to them and they helped me to check and told me " no ''. On XX/XX/XXXX. I received the letter from the debit company. But as I said before, I am NOT XXXX XXXX and before the debit company confirmed that my name is not linked to XXXX XXXX and reported XXXX XXXX 's case to three credit bureau departments individually but only Experian reported the thing. In conclusin, I felt there would be identity theft with Experian. Even I resubmitted the Experian again, but I can not trust neither of them, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and Experian. I have submitted a complaint before but nothing could be solved from the debit company. It looks like because me, XXXX XXXX and the person, XXXX XXXX, has similar first and last name and we all lived in XXXX XXXX XXXX before so Experian mixed us. I hope this record can be removed from Experian as soon as possible since it impared my credit score for XXXX points and limit my activity in the future.
