Some of the negative accounts have been placed in Collection/Charge-Off Status WITHOUT mailing me a copy of IRS form 1099-C Cancellation of Debt. Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX SC XXXX Subject : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Experian Credit Agency Dear Sir/Madam , I am writing to dispute about the inaccurate credit scores, inaccurate reporting of credit history, and allowing creditors and collections agency to make changes on my credit report. The above credit agencies are allowing creditors/collection agency to make any changes they want to my credit report, I have been trying repair my credit since XX/XX/XXXX with no success. As I was trying to repair my credit through the pandemic updates that I provided to the credit agencies, somehow the collection/credit agencies were able to update the information in the system without me calling them or making a payment arrangement with them, and the credit agency would bring collections accounts up date with information I provided. And this is violation of my privacy, and providing inaccurate information on my credit report. They also are allowing old debts that are paid off to reappear and subtract points form my credit score and the item is from XXXX that is paid off. They also report in accurate credit score and telling you that anything over XXXX is fair credit and from what I see anything over XXXX is considered good. The last XXXX number of account XXXX, and XXXX. Again I have been trying to repair my credit for the last several years because I am in need of a new roof for my house and I knew that I was going to need my credit to obtain funds to repair my roof. However, with no success in several attempts I would like for my credit score to be back in the high XXXX along with the current positive points for the month as it was before, and DELETED all collections, and old accounts to be from my credit report. This letter is a formal dispute and request for investigation under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), 15 USC 1681 et seq, I The FCRA mandates credit reporting agencies to maintain accurate information in consumer reports. The following provisions support my dispute : 1. 15 USC 1681e ( b ) - Accuracy of Information : This requires credit reporting agencies to ensure maximum accuracy in consumer reports. The inaccurate names and addresses negatively impact the accuracy of my credit report. 2. 15 USC 16811 - Duty to investigate : This provision obligates credit reporting agencies to conduct a reasonable investigation when a consumer disputes the accuracy of their credit report. I request a thorough investigation into these inaccuracies. 15 USC 1681c - Disclosure of Consumer Reports : This stipulates that consumer reports should only include relevant and creditworthiness-related information. The inaccurate names and addresses do not contribute to an accurate representation of my creditworthiness and should be removed.
