Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I appreciate the prompt attention from the CFPB, and I want to acknowledge that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has taken corrective action by removing three out of the four fraudulent accounts previously mentioned in my complaint. However, the specific charge-off account with the amount of {$14000.00} ( Account Number : XXXX ) remains unresolved. The discrepancy in their response raises suspicion, as the removal of only three out of the four fraudulent accounts suggests potential selective omission. This questionable behavior leads me, as a consumer, to believe that XXXX XXXX and Experian may be purposely retaining one charge-off to negatively impact my credit status, keeping me classified as a subprime borrower. Furthermore, I would like to express my concerns about Experian 's handling of this matter. Despite my diligent efforts to address the fraudulent accounts and the discrepancies, Experian has not provided a satisfactory resolution. The rapid verification of the information without a thorough investigation and the lack of transparency in providing evidence raise significant concerns about Experian 's compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). In my efforts to report the specific charge-off account as fraudulent to Experian, I have attached all required documents, including the FTC report , government-issued ID, social security card, and utility bill. This comprehensive documentation supports my claim and further emphasizes the urgency of a thorough and accurate investigation by Experian. I demand the immediate deletion of the remaining fraudulent charge-off account in the amount of {$14000.00} from my credit report. I urge the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to scrutinize Experian 's handling of this matter, ensuring compliance with the FCRA and the deletion of the inaccurately reported and remaining fraudulent charge-off account. Your immediate attention to this critical issue is crucial, and I anticipate a prompt resolution. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I am listing accounts below that have been reported inaccurately on my credit report. In compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and as a gesture of respect to the Federal Trade Commission Committee on accuracy and completeness of credit information I am formally writing in today to dispute negative information appearing on my credit. I demand to see Verifiable Proof ( an original Consumer Contract with my Signature on it ) of the accounts listed below. Your failure to positively verify these accounts has hurt my ability to obtain credit.

Issue: Problem with fraud alerts or security freezes
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: Experian has made it very hard to not only check if there is currently a freeze on your account but also how to temporarily unfreeze while applying for credit. That link to check the freeze status or to unfreeze is hidden as a tiny link inside the web page for their paid product. This is in sharp contrast to the other 2 agencies where it is relatively straight forward to check your freeze status and to locate the link to unfreeze the account. In addition the minute you log into your Experian account they directly take you to a page where you are end up applying for their paid service. You have to careful what you do there else you'd inadvertently sign-up for their pair service. They are trying to defraud unsuspecting people to sign-in for their service. This, too, is in contrast to the other two agencies.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to dispute the inclusion of this bankruptcy on my credit report. The dates filed and reported, as well as the closing dates, do not align. This situation is highly concerning as I possess a letter from the court clearly stating that this bankruptcy should not be reported to you. Furthermore, the involvement of an unauthorized third party adds to the absurdity of this situation.
