Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I withhold my consent for electronic communication and explicitly request that all responses be conveyed in written form through the United States Postal Service ( USPS ). I am the primary complainant in this matter, and I hereby grant full authority to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) to thoroughly investigate and address this claim. I am writing in regards to my credit report which contains inaccurate and incomplete information that requires attention. Specifically, I am writing to dispute an item on my credit report related to an account with XXXX XXXX XXXX. The account was opened on XX/XX/2018 with a balance of {$0.00}. The reason for my dispute is that your agency has not provided enough information to verify the debt in question. XXXX, one of the credit bureaus, has already removed this account from their records due to an error that was found. I am confused as to how you have verified this account while the other bureaus have removed it. Therefore, I request that you delete this account from my credit file as it is inaccurate, erroneous, incomplete or unverifiable.
