Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a formal complaint against Experian, a consumer reporting agency, for its persistent failure to correct inaccuracies in my credit report, specifically related to non-deliverable addresses. This matter was initially brought to Experian 's attention in a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX. Subsequently, I submitted a complaint to your agency on XX/XX/XXXX. Unfortunately, as of XX/XX/XXXX, no action has been taken by Experian to rectify these inaccuracies. Experian continues to break the law. The inaccuracies in question involve non-existent addresses that are also incapable of receiving mail through the U.S. Postal Service. As a result, these inaccuracies not only compromise the accuracy of my credit report but also violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act 's ( FCRA ) mandate for accuracy, fairness, and the substantiation of reported information.

Consumer Complaint: I submitted a dispute through the mail to the credit bureau back on XX/XX/ and it seems as if nothing was done. I am a victim of identity theft. I sent the required documents they asked for which were a copy of my driver 's license, FTC report, and social. There is still information on my consumer report that is a result of identity theft. Consumer Complaint: I, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, am a natural living person. I am writing to dispute certain information present on my credit report, which I believe is inaccurate. This dispute is based on the provisions outlined in the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including 15 U.S. Code 1681a, 15 U.S. Code 1681s-2, and 15 USC 1681a 2 ( A ) ( i ). According to 15 U.S. Code 1681a, the definition of a consumer report excludes reports containing information solely as to transactions or experiences between the consumer and the reporting entity. It is evident that the information in dispute falls under this exclusion. Furthermore, 15 U.S. Code 1681s-2 emphasizes the responsibility of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies. The law stipulates that furnishers must provide accurate information and prohibits reporting with actual knowledge of errors. In addition, 15 USC 1681a 2 ( A ) ( i ) supports my claim by specifying exclusions from the definition of a consumer report, highlighting the relevance of the disputed information to this exclusion. I am also placing a FTC reference number- # XXXX so that you can verify the inaccuracy of fraud that is placed on my credit report. Now based on the provisions mentioned above, I kindly request an investigation into these discrepancies and urge prompt action to rectify the inaccuracies. As per my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I also request that you provide me with a written explanation of the results of your investigation. Enclosed are copies of documents supporting my claim for your review. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and request that the inaccurate information be corrected or removed from my credit report at the earliest.

Consumer Complaint: I am listing accounts below that have been reported inaccurately on my credit report. In compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and as a gesture of respect to the Federal Trade Commission Committee on accuracy and completeness of credit information I am formally writing in today to dispute negative information appearing on my credit. This incorrect information is greatly hindering me from getting the credit score I deserve and hopefully, this letter will resolve all the issues on my credit. I demand to see Verifiable Proof ( an original Consumer Contract with my Signature on it ) of the accounts listed below. Your failure to positively verify these accounts has hurt my ability to obtain credit.
