Consumer Complaint: Hello CFPB, I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of concern regarding the reporting of an account in my credit history, specifically XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX - Acct # : XXXX. It has come to my attention that XXXX deleted this account from my credit history on XX/XX/XXXX. I am seeking clarification on the difference in reporting between the two credit bureaus. I am curious about the methods employed in their investigation and verification process, as XXXX has deemed this account unverified and misleading. I am keen to understand how Experian and XXXX can assert the accuracy of the reported information, given that a major credit bureau has already removed it from my credit report. If the data originates from the same creditor, it raises questions as to why different results are being reported. I insist to delete XXXX XXXX XXXX - Acct # : XXXX, due to the following reasons. XXXX. It has already been proved inaccurate by XXXX as the result of why they have to remove this invalid & erroneous account from my record. XXXX. When you compare reports from one consulting agency to another, you can see a big discrepancy of the following : Date Opened : XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ) - XX/XX/XXXX ( Experian ) Date Last Active : XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ) - XX/XX/XXXX ( Experian ) Date of Last Payment : XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ) - XX/XX/XXXX XXXX. According to the FCRA law, under the Compliance Procedure, when a credit reporting agency creates a credit report for a consumer, they must take reasonable steps to ensure that the information in the report is as accurate as possible. They need to do everything they can to get the facts straight and avoid mistakes. This includes checking sources, verifying information, and making sure they have the most up-to-date information available. In other words, the credit reporting agency has a responsibility to make sure that the information in my credit report is correct and reliable. They can't just put anything they want in my report without making sure it's true. If they find out that something is wrong, they have to fix it right away. Additionally, I also want to bring to your attention the inaccuracy of my personal information, specifically on the following category : Date of Birth Current Address Previous Address Employers This actually made me wonder as to how you obtain my information and the items you are reporting on my credit report if my personal information were factually INCORRECT!
