Consumer Complaint: According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 USC 1681a and b ), consumer reporting agencies must fulfill their responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and respect for the consumer 's right to privacy. The Privacy Act of 1974 prohibits the disclosure of records without the individual 's explicit written consent. XXXX, Experian, and XXXX have not obtained my consent for the report of the bankruptcy on my credit profiles. These companies need to remove this reporting due to inaccuracies in reporting and violations of Metro 2 compliance. Attached are court statements and an FTC report for identity theft as evidence. As per 15 USC U.S. Code 1681c-2, a consumer reporting agency shall block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer that the consumer identifies as information resulting from alleged identity theft, no later than 4 business days after the date of receipt by such agencies.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is directed towards the Credit Reporting Company, Experian, and is in relation to my previous complaint against XXXX regarding the same student loan account. My previous complaint ID was XXXX. The student loan in question belonged to my late mother who passed away on XX/XX/2023. I was the co-signor on the account. Previously, XXXX would not update balance information on my credit report after the loan was discharged. They responded in writing confirming the loan was discharged due to her death with a XXXX balance. However, this information was still not updated with Experian, XXXX, and XXXX, so I had to utilize the dispute process to request corrections on this account with all three bureaus. To date, XXXX and XXXX have reported this data. Experian, on the other hand, has not. I just submitted the dispute again ( for the XXXX time ) today after speaking with their Customer Service representatives. They most recently updated the account to show incorrectly that I, XXXX XXXX, am the deceased person. This resulted in Experian showing me as " unscoreable '' since I am apparently dead. Upon speaking with them, they initiated another dispute ( the XXXX one ), that was resolved today without any change to how this account is reporting. They are reporting that I am deceased and they don't include any balance information. Their guidance today was to submit yet another dispute. In the meantime, Experian is indicating that I am deceased, which is resulting in issues with other creditors I do business with. XXXX, for example, froze shipment of a new credit card to me and will not provide me any credit information online. The failure on Experian 's part to thoroughly review this matter to resolve the dispute is having a material impact on my consumer credit. Hence, my formal complaint regarding this matter.
