Consumer Complaint: I recently did an investigation into my credit and was horrified at the discrepancies that I saw. I am a man of business and work hard to maintain my credit and these false reportings are causing a riff with not only my business but with my personal life as well. The bureaus inability to put in the work to ensure what they are reporting is accurate is creating major issues for me and I need this corrected at once.

Subissue: Account information incorrect
Consumer Complaint: In reference to an account of XXXX XXXX : XX/XX/XXXX - I sent a letter letting Experian know that this account is not being reported correctly, and to please update to show that it's never been paid late. I received no response. XX/XX/XXXX - I sent a letter to Experian following up that this account is still showing incorrect information and that it needs to be updated to show never paid late. I received no response. XX/XX/XXXX - I sent a letter to Experian letting them know that this account is still showing incorrect information, and that it needs to be updated to show never paid late. I asked for the method of verifying this information - but again, never received a response. XX/XX/XXXX - I sent a letter to Experian informing them once again that this account is continuing to show incorrect information, and it needs to be updated to show never paid late. - Once again, no response. XX/XX/XXXX - I sent a letter to Experian explaining the numerous letters I have sent to them over the months since XX/XX/XXXX- and explained that they continue to report inaccurate information that is damaging my credit profile. I sent them factual information that shows the data furnisher that is reporting this account is reporting different information to different credit bureaus. There is NO WAY that this can be verified as accurate. I advised that if this was not resolved, I would be filing a complaint with the CFPB. I have never received any response to my letters. The only way I know what is going on is by looking online at my credit report/profile to see what they are updating. They continue to report inaccurate, damaging information and continue to put a statement that it has been verified on the account.

Consumer Complaint: Violation of FCRA law in regards to Experian needing to remove an account that is the result of identity theft. A financial company called XXXX has an account with my name on it that is the result of identity theft. It needs to be removed from my credit report. Evidence that I have sent in : * multiple FTC identity theft reports from early XXXX to recently in XXXX * police report that I originally filed * call logs from early XXXX when I called to cancel * they also conveniently get disconnected every time I call into talk to them * emails from their customer support and legal team that the account was closed * multiple collection agencies that they try and send this too look at the evidence I send and remove their claim as they see it's clearly fraud, and not surprisingly XXXX never responds, and then sends it to some other collection agencies * they have tried to push blame on this to XXXX XXXX in Arkansas * the Arkansas banking department confirmed they aren't really involved * the California banking department forward the CFPB complaints too, again with no response, but claim they can't do anything because XXXX is under the Federal Reserve * the Federal Reserve said they violated laws and this was clearly fraud/theft * they have tried to change their name on my credit report ( attached ) - several times I had XXXX XXXX as the reported account name instead of XXXX - you can look at the past requests I sent in to Experian to remove that after I spent multiple tens of hours on their support line confirming the actual XXXX XXXX has none of my information * XXXX agrees this if fraud and don't trust XXXX so they quit accepting their submissions for my report * XXXX agrees this if fraud and don't trust XXXX so they quit accepting their submissions for my report * And the company they partnered with ( XXXX ) for this card has filed bankruptcy ( XXXX ) and a lot of the key dates related to that ( full timeline here ) are in the summer and fall of XXXX when the fraudulent charges kept showing up on the card that I asked to close in early XXXX. It seems the most likely answer is they lost a ton of money due to this deal and are trying to pass on losses/expenses to former card holders.
