Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a complaint regarding the inaccurate reporting of an account by XXXX and Equifax. The disputed account pertains to an installment auto loan ( Account Number : XXXX ) with the following discrepancies : XXXX : Date of Collection/Chargeoff : XX/XX/XXXX Unpaid balance reported as a loss by the credit grantor. Inconsistency in reporting the account status. Equifax : Date of Collection/Chargeoff : XXXX Consumer disputes - reinvestigation in progress. Discrepancy in the reported high credit and original charge-off amount. Lack of clarity on the resolution status. I have diligently disputed these inaccuracies multiple times over the past two years, in accordance with my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 USC 1681 ). Specifically, 15 USC 1681 section 604 ( a ) ( 2 ) asserts my right to privacy, and 15 USC 1666b stipulates that a creditor can not furnish an account without my written instructions. Despite my efforts to rectify these inaccuracies, both XXXX and Equifax continue to update the information with further errors, violating my rights as a consumer. These inaccuracies are negatively affecting my creditworthiness and causing substantial financial distress. I have diligently followed your dispute resolution process, submitting the required documentation and providing detailed explanations of the inaccuracies. However, the response I have received thus far has been inadequate, as the charge off account remain on my credit report. I would like to bring to your attention the following key points : Despite my consistent efforts to rectify the inaccuracies on my credit report, the fraudulent entries persist, indicating a failure in the credit reporting process. This account entries have had a detrimental impact on my creditworthiness, affecting my ability to secure favorable terms for loans, credit cards, and other financial products. The responses I have received from your bureau thus far do not reflect a thorough investigation into my disputes, and I remain dissatisfied with the lack of resolution. Consumer Complaint: 15USC 1681 a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) clearly states that transactions between the consumer and the Person/Corporation making the report is NOT included on the consumer reports. Yet XXXX is reporting this information.. The reporting of excluded information pursuant to 15USC 1681 a ( d ) ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) on a consumer report is a clear violation of Metro2 compliance. Provide me with the Metro2 compliance disclosure on reporting transactions to a consumer reporting agency. I need the transactions reporting as late, collection/charge-off status and any other derogatory information deleted from my consumer reports effective immediately. Before you think to reply that this account has been " validated ', let 's be clear that I am not asking you to validate or verify anything. So please do not respond by telling me that as a tactic to waste my valuable time. Some of the negative accounts have been placed in Collection/Charge-Off Status WITHOUT mailing me a copy of IRS form XXXX Cancellation of Debt. XXXX and the creditors reporting collections/Charge-Offs, late payments/other derogatory information in my consumer reports are in violation of 26 USC ss 6050P Returns Relating to the Cancellation of Indebtedness By Certain Entities. Consumer Complaint: I insist that your bureau updates the reporting of late payment dates to accurately reflect the current status of the accounts. I understand the importance of accurate credit reporting and take my financial responsibilities seriously. However, it is essential to note that there were occasional delays in my payments. It is unnecessary and misleading to continue reporting late dates when the accounts have been paid and are no longer delinquent. The reporting of these late payment dates is adversely affecting my credit standing and does not accurately represent my financial history. Despite these temporary lapses, I made the necessary payments to bring the accounts up-to-date, and there is no outstanding balance that justifies the reporting of late payment dates. I was the victim and Im not sure why the CRA is not complying with the law. The other bureaus have followed suit. Im very confused why this one seems to ignore my requests. I request a prompt and thorough investigation into this matter, with the immediate removal of the inaccuracies and the updating of late payment dates to accurately reflect the current status of the accounts. It is crucial that your bureau complies with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and rectifies these discrepancies without further delay. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXPLEASE UPDATE!!! I am requesting that the late payment markings be updated to reflect my accurate payment history. I expect to receive written confirmation of the resolution and the updated credit report at the earliest opportunity.
