Consumer Complaint: I WOULD LIKE TO EMPHASIZE THAT THESE ACCOUNTS WERE, IN FACT, PAID IN FULL!! Upon reviewing my records, it is clear that the accounts were paid in full, and there is no basis for the " settled '' status. Furthermore, I would like to bring to your attention that I have recently communicated with the respective bank, and they have acknowledged the error on their part. Consumer Complaint: In 15 days, I will initiate an update on my credit reports and anticipate the expeditious removal of the remaining fraudulent entries from said reports. Pursuant to FCRA Section 605b, Credit Reporting Agencies are mandated to eliminate any items identified in an identity theft report XXXX XXXX. Consumer Complaint: My information was sold/bought illegally because I was a victim of the Equifax Breach of 2007 and my credit file continues to suffer from this breach. Equifax has admitted that I was in fact a victim of this data breach ( see attached proof ) and Equifax has done nothing or made it impossible to obtain a remedy when fraudulent activity has occurred in my credit files. I've been disputing inquiries that I never made ( written dispute : XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX - plus various other disputes related to inquiries that were filed online ) to Equifax and require your assistance in removing these illegal inquiries from my credit reports. Each time I have disputed this information, Equifax has failed to provide proof of the permissible purpose authorization and fails to investigate the dispute. Equifax simply sends me back a pre-formulated response about the inquiry being a factual record. THEY HAVE NOT VALIDATED/VERIFIED THE DISPUTE. I've also communicated directly with each creditor and they have indicated they have nothing showing I authorized these inquiries.
